Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

ooh nutella that's the one they're using at the rvi. I got some on recommemdation at a lll meeting by a microbioligist who's working there. I don't keep it in the fridge though Confused its didn't say to??? crap.

Clarella · 09/04/2013 11:29

it says below 25...

Barbeasty · 09/04/2013 11:45

Seymore I have a vague memory that lactose etc can stay in your body, and so in your milk, for a few weeks, which is why you have to go dairy free for a few weeks to test for intolerance. So if there is an issue it could still be from the easter eggs.

We've got a highchair which you can convert to a table and low chair. It should work well now because DD is happy kneeling on an adult chair and we have a couple of children's wicker chairs from Ikea, so could put both of them at the little table. It also has straight legs, so you don't trip over them!

A better night last night. A woke at 1, 3 and 5 then for a big feed around 6.30 to 6.45. I can cope with that!

It's a house work day today, then swimming this afternoon.

itsMYNutella · 09/04/2013 11:49

clarella my DP puts everything in the fridge! bugger all chance of it ever being summer here let alone +25 hopefully it has been cool enough where you stored it. We weren't sure it was making a difference... Until the first bottle ran out Grin . It takes 3-4 days to have an effect on the baby. But DS doesn't have the problems he used to.

14 weeks old here today and I have a very sleepy babyHmm he was only awake for an hour before he started to get grizzly and tired. Now he has woken up to demand milk as if he has been starved - he fed 2.5 hours ago....

SpottyTeacakes · 09/04/2013 12:10

2.5 hours in the day is very good for us nutella. At 19 weeks ds still feeds two hourly in the day Sad

Clarella · 09/04/2013 12:15

thanks for the info nutella. it was suggested cos of the antibiotics which gave him the runs again Angry he'll be on these low level ones for some time too Sad

hmm I hope it hasn't got too warm up stairsHmm I do have a second bottle but it's not cheap.

WLmum · 09/04/2013 12:37

clarella that's a whole heap to contend with!

utopian I'm not sure what else you could have done, what with the magic wand being on the blink and all.

So, does this 4 month sleep regression thing go off like an alarm clock?! T is 16 weeks today and we had the worst night in months. I think we probably did an average of 1 hour my bed, 1 hour her cot from 9.30 last night til 7 this morning. Luckily DH is off today and big 2 had a sleep over at granny's so I sent him off with T and I got another couple of hours. Not sure what was going on, but she was very wriggly and noisy in her cot so I was thinking wind issues, but quiet next to me - I don't have a magic wind aura I'm sure! Growth spurt? Hope it doesn't last long whatever it is. I wondered if I'd eaten something that was upsetting her too - is that why you're dairy free seymour?

Secondsop · 09/04/2013 13:32

mamapo everything seems cheaper here than in Aus...

MaMaPo · 09/04/2013 15:36

That's because Australians earn more. They're rich but they like to whinge.

utopian99 · 09/04/2013 15:37

I set up the door bouncer for Oscar, but his little legs were too short. Sad He is now happily shrieking at his play gym again though. It's a shame because if his feet reached the ground I think he'd love it because he loves standing/stamping on people so much.. Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 09/04/2013 15:41

Utopian does it not adjust? Confused

MaMaPo · 09/04/2013 15:48

I'd love to borrow a door jumper to see if C likes it - ditto Utopian, she loves standing and stamping on me all the time. She gives a look like 'check me out! I'm awesome!' Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 09/04/2013 15:49

We've got a lindam one they're not expensive

EggsMichelle · 09/04/2013 16:08

Put sofa cushions under his feet, that's what we do at parents (oddly high door frame!)

I've been mostly lurking cause I can't keep up!!! Been out the house a lot as DH has an ear infection and perforated drum so been hiding from him. After 2wks of terrible sleep, F went 8-5.30 last night, fingers crossed we have got through the sleep regression. Also started him on hungry baby milk, 9 6oz bottle in one day was just getting silly! Seconds I had the coil put in the same week I stopped bf, but iv been spotting since.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/04/2013 16:19

Someone on another group I'm in got told by her GP that her dd can't have oral thrush because she was a CS baby and babies get it from their mum's vagina....

MaMaPo · 09/04/2013 16:28

A friend told me her GP said there's no such thing as thrush in the nipple and she 'must have read about it on the Internet'. I heart my GP. She knows stuff.

C been a lovely girl today. Hope she is like your little one, eggs, and sleeps massively.

Spot quiz - who does dream feeds?

SpottyTeacakes · 09/04/2013 16:31

No point in dream feeding as ds is awake for first feed at 10/11 anyway Sad

Stacks · 09/04/2013 16:36

Some doctors are scary... It's not that they don't know the right things, it's that they're so sure what they know is right. If they'd just go look it up I'd feel much better!

We had another terrible night. It's not fair, DS is only 15w so if its sleep regression it hit early. Is it to do with their gestational age? He was 2 weeks late which would fit with when it started. So not looking forward to more jabs next week. So they have a longer break before the next set then?
I'm thinking about sleeping with DS in the nursery. With him in our bed I can't leave him for a little while to see if he will resettle without boob, as it'll wake DH. Then I'd have to put him in his cot, as there's only a mini single bed in there which I don't think I'd be comfortable co sleeping in. Might be a bit much though, so many big changes at once - new room, sleeping on his own, no feeding to sleep, and cot without mum-smell? I think I'd get even less sleep than I am now (DS is doing 45-90m wake ups). I could kick DH into the nursery instead.

He just woke up :( I was going to post more about others so I didn't seem so self absorbed all the time.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/04/2013 16:40

Stacks next jabs aren't until a year old but be warned it's three this time.

Secondsop · 09/04/2013 17:15

I dream (bottle) feed at about midnight; if I don't do that, Z will want a feed at about 3 but if I do he can go for a while longer.

Stacks · 09/04/2013 17:48

A year, that's much better. I'm getting DH to take time off work this time to take T. I'm never doing jabs again if I can.

I've never done a dream feed as T tends to cluster feed till late in the evening anyway.

I think T might react to cows milk. No need to go dairy free I think. But I started having cereal with milk last week, and T started pooing about 5 times a day. Last couple of days no cereal - and much less poo. Could be a coincidence, I'll try having a glass of milk in a few days and see if the poo machine restarts!

We're going to get a Stokke chair off eBay if I can. It'll match our dining table and I like the idea of DS using it for a few years. I've heard good things about the ikea chair though.

Clarella · 09/04/2013 17:56

Angry about thrush comments (by dumb gps) - it's really badly handled in my recent experience. I found this which might help if anyone does get it. candida is always about, it just gets out of control if our good bacteria are depleted. by antibiotics etc.

any cillin antibiotic might trigger an outbreak in who ever takes it. candida thrives on humid areas and sugar - so nipple and lo mouth is perfect.

it's very up to date

am on app not sure if links?

Clarella · 09/04/2013 18:05

I tried dream feed once - made no difference! lo giving self dream feed at mo.... makes no difference either!!!!Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 09/04/2013 18:18

Snap Clarella Grin

SkiBunnnnny · 09/04/2013 19:25

No dream feeds here either, never tried it. Don't really see the point.

I hated DS first set of shots, made me cry! At least DH was with me. He had 3 injections, 2 in one leg thn had to turn him around for one in the other leg. He was hysterical :(
