Ooh we have Hoover latch too and he pinches or tugs breast away while sucking - ouch. I have to hold his hands down and support my breast all while MNing.

We had a slightly better night. Weird dreams here too.

Rolling and laughing: L doesn't roll yet. His t time is much improved but he isn't trying to roll at all (more like swim!). At night he used to roll to his side but he can't in the sleeping bag. I think I should give him more floor time so he has space to explore. He has an ace laugh but only for the last few weeks and like Det the novelty wears off although last week's chuckles still get a big beam. He seems to fight laughter which is so cute as it sort of bubbles out.

ok... so I have done a profile on fbook who is next? I am busily expressing away the milk dd wanted so that I can go to a friends bday meal Friday...making out its for her benefit she definitely isn't buying that!,

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 10:40

Latex more likely to perish with extreme heat.

MummaPanda · 05/03/2013 10:44

Well I'm feeling alot better today. Nora slept 7 n half hrs last night, not as good as the 10 she was before, but much better than the 4 or less every other night this week. Sorry ladies, guess I hogged all the baby sleepy dust.

MummaPanda · 05/03/2013 10:45

Oh and can someone link the fb thing?

Elizadoesdolittle · 05/03/2013 10:47

bp I did ask that and it is possible but I'd have to be referred to a different home care team as this hospitals one doesn't cover the area I live in. I said perhaps they should do that now then to get the ball rolling but it's all bloody wait and see! I'm running out of patience!

Still I've just spoken to my in laws and put plans in place to have DD1 taken care of until Monday and surely I will be out by then! Was supposed to be going away with my girls and a friend on Saturday for a week. Looks like that won't happen Hmm but it's only in Sussex so hopefully I'll get there for at least a couple of days.

Sorry to hear that Eliza

I am baffled by LO at the moment. One minute she is fine the next she is screaming blue murder, and she seems to have decided she doesn't want to feed in the mornings?! I've just had to express some off both boobs as they felt like they were going to explode!? Could there be something wrong with my milk? It seems to have a slight greenish tinge to it?! Only v slight but sure it's there. she doesn't want to be held but cries when she's on her mat or bouncer? Feel at my wits end today SadSad

Good idea about the fb group contra I will post later when I can get a nice pic of me and LO

Before I forget and whilst e is quiet detective is it the teats or are there clumps in the powder? The problem I had was that the powder is difficult to mix particularly if the water is as warm as the company says on the packet the powder is a bit of a bitch to get to dissolve. I make bottles, shake vigorously and put in fridge, when it comes to warming them I zap them in the microwave then pour through a mini sieve to make sure of no lumps. I make and store feeds in avent bottles then use mam bottles, partly cos of the sieving business and also because the mam bottles are self sterilising, very thick and take forever to warm up! Does that make sense? It sounds a faff but ensures non lumpy warm feeds and takes 1:30 as that's how long microwave takes! He hates drinking from avent bottles so have to use mams but this system works for us

Have more to reply to but wanted to say something to you det as you sound awfully stressed! Hugs, sorry if making little sense but feeding e now as he started screaming halfway through message!

glendathefedupwitch · 05/03/2013 11:13

Contra - I've posted on fb with pic - it's from a couple of months ago and has reminded me that even though I hate pics of me I have none of me with the other 2dc and desperately wanted some of me and dottie but I always look rough

Thanks vq hadn't even thought of that!! Good old google!!

Eliza hope you get home soon!!!

Dottie pinches, grabs and pummels boob, stretches nipple, talks with a mouthful and twists her head round still attached!! I've ordered a nursing necklace off eBay to start focussing her attention!!

Had 3rd jabs without much ado, even though the previous baby was I. The waiting room literally screaming the place down, made me very nervous and feeling awful as Dottie was all smiley and beaming at everyone. But she had a yell at the meningitis one as that's ouchy one but a cuddle calmed her down and she even smiled athe nurse before leaving bless!!!

ShellyBobbs · 05/03/2013 11:16

Oh eliza I'm so sorry you're both stuck in there with no green light for coming home, she is doing amazingly well.

Tommy was put on his playmat and has decided that the fun thing to do is ignore all toys and roll on his side and watch me Grin

detective Tommy hates tummy time too, he looks at me as if to say 'now what'. Sorry you're having so many feeding problems.

Was going to go to a playgrup that meets today at Ikea, but that's put the window as youngest daughter has spme kind pf virus.

ShellyBobbs · 05/03/2013 11:17

Excuse typos, rubbish small keypad on new phone Angry

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 05/03/2013 11:48

Well the feeding every three hours during the day did NOT help the night. In fact he instead decided that it was a good little routine and that three hourly feeds at night would be a great idea too!

He did however go to bed at 9pm and sleep til 1am so that's progress I suppose. He then fed at 4am and 7am. I have decided just to demand feed today so he hasn't fed since 7am so almost 5 hours. HV felt this was making him wake at night as he didn't feed enough during day but god only knows what I should do!!

Went to a weaning talk this morning. All advice was to wait til 6 months as recommended by WHO and NHS which is what I feel HV should have been advising. Funny thing is it was run by a dietician and another HV from the same team. I was tempted to go and complain about how forceful the other one had been but decided against it. Kinda wish I had now tho!

Contradictionincarnate · 05/03/2013 11:54

Glenda what is a nursing necklace? I have given up eBay for lent!
I have nooo routine dd is sleeping on me now! ... I am sooo hungry and need to pop out but wanna enjoy this peace don't want to even risk putting boob away!

Contradictionincarnate · 05/03/2013 11:57

izzy I found the same re trying to feed in the day did nothing going with the flow is much less stressful! though I'm concerned its not a long term plan! Sad

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 12:12

kissy no idea on the tinge but sounds like you've had a stressy time of it :( I had a few days with e like that, how about taking her for a walk? Hope she chills out a bit for you soon!

My night was awful, he woke hourly to talk to his toys. Put him in with me at half five as got sick of gettig up and getting him to doze off only to wake within an hour!

E also isn't entertained by the same thing more than once usually. He vaguely giggles but it is suppressed like he doesn't want to! He beams big smiles but sound rarely escapes.

Hope you can go home soon eliza

Have a whingy day again it seems. Hope he snaps out of this soon, more time is spent whining than not.

Donnadoon · 05/03/2013 12:35

Hello just marking my place :)

BigPigLittlePig · 05/03/2013 12:37

What is it with the whingy babies? F's got a right cob on today. Still, have managed to make coconut macaroons and apple & cinammon muffins nom nom, whilst switching her between bumbo, pram and arm. She hasn't napped. And we have baby group later. She has a bit of a reputation at the group for screaming her way through the singing - because it's at the end and she's bloody knackered - today will be no different I'm sure.

My mum has a lovely pic of me and F from the weekend. Whenever I try to take one of the two of us I look drunk/stoned/ill/all 3 of the above. Will post the nice one when mum sends it to me!

PurplePidjin · 05/03/2013 12:52

Hysterical baby got over tired. Hysterical baby is about to be transferred to his crib where he will sleep for three hours.

Mummy is ravenous!

PurplePidjin · 05/03/2013 13:12

Hysterical baby was woken by the doorbell and my dad having a strop because i wasn't in earlier (he's fixing my leaky tap) apparently his unannounced visit is far more important than my exhaustion and R's needs Angry

Attempt #2 in progress...

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 13:16

Good luck pp! E is asleep so I'm wolfing down lunch to make sure I can finish it before he wakes. There is something about grumpy babies and last nights crap sleep didn't help that makes a day very long and quite draining. Maybe they'll all be extra happy tomorrow --as if-

Oh I meant to say welcome to the newbie but can't for the life of me remember your name! Was it louis Blush

MissMummy1 · 05/03/2013 13:23

marking place. will catch up later. grumpy post jab monster here. waiting for dermatologist to do an emergency home visit after her allergic reaction at the weekend - see receptionist witch, it is fucking serious Angry

'D'P is in the dog house this morning too. I am too angry to go into it but needless to say the man is a twat. Seriously considering my options and beginning to think M and I would do better on our own Sad

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 13:40

Hope m is ok mm1, sorry your dp is being a twat too, hardly what you need with a post jab baby etc. how is her skin since the reaction?

E did 45 mins but wouldn't settle again despite being sleepy. Am now fucking pinned to the bastard sofa again. I keep telling him this octopus won't stuff itself!

sweetpea1112 · 05/03/2013 13:50

Wow, grumpy babies galore today!

Just had a bad mummy meltdown moment. O woke from a nap screaming and would not stop for half an hour. So unlike him. Tried everything I could think of but he was hysterical. In the end I had to leave him in the room alone and shut the door Sad Blush Came back to him still screaming, crying real tears and still completely inconsolable. Starting to think something must be seriously wrong when he finally accepted a bottle on the fifth attempt and drank like he hadn't fed for a year.

Is now absolutely fine but I have left him to play on his mat while I eat lunch and remind myself that I do actually like him.

mm poor M has really been through it with her skin hasn't she, bless her Thanks I completely sympathise with post-jab monsters and awful DP's so here are some more Thanks

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 13:55

That isn't bad sweetpea you did the best thing. You put your baby somewhere safe and went to calm down. Screaming can really get to you (it gets to me probably more than it should ) and when at your wits end even a minute alone will allow you to get a breather and go back and try again. I think you handled it brilliantly :) Poor mite though - what do you think might be wrong? Perhaps a bad dream? If he's refluxy could it have been an attack of acid? Trapped wind maybe? How is he now?
