I know if I wanted to go out he would look after the dc but I'm too tired to want to go out and I don't feel like I can leave ds yet Blush he does bath both dc and put dd to bed every night though Smile

ISpyPlumPie · 01/03/2013 20:11

Totally agree that Saturday can be a tricky day to find something to do Spotty as it seems to be family day for most people. Dreading the start of the cricket season for the same reason, though DH says he's not going to play that often this year. I've heard it before, but think he is starting to appreciate the importance of us having some family time too. Also think he's starting to feel his age and not looking forward to the prospect of running round a cricket pitch Grin.

Three months today Shock. The fourth trimester is officially over.

WLmum · 01/03/2013 20:13

Hope the big uns are feeling better now.

Tonight dd has been biting my nipple and pulling it - it's really quite sore! I remember seeing this mentioned before - what's it all about?! I'm sure she's not hungry as she's had a couple of good feeds close together and keeps overflowing!

Had some late nights this week and am feeling really tired. Fx for an early bed tonight.

HoneyMumandSon · 01/03/2013 20:13

If a normally non-sicky baby suddenly throws up a lot after a feed should I worry or just think burp gone wrong? Non other symtoms

WLmum · 01/03/2013 20:17

isthat where are you then? Nearish Guildford?

Got friends coming for the day tom and the house is a total shit pit :-( am sending DH out with big dds for a couple of hours in the morning so I can try and reign in the chaos. I'm by no means a neat freak but the mess is starting to stress me out!

WLmum · 01/03/2013 20:19

If he's happy enough I'd just keep an eye on it. Most likely wind underneath the feed.

coffeeandcream · 01/03/2013 20:21

I was just thinking about the bits of pregnancy that I really miss:

Feeling LO kick
Watching the ripples in the bath when he was kicking
The feel of my totally flat belly button
Taking more breaks at work Wink

Anyone else?

SpottyTeacakes · 01/03/2013 20:31

WL ds goes that to me sometimes, goes through phases I'm not sure what it's about.

Honey agree with WL I wouldn't worry unless it starts happening at each feed Smile

Dp just came into the bedroom and said:
'I really want to go out'
Me 'go out?'
Dp 'yeah both of us just into town or something and meet up with Ben. I miss Ben haven't seen him in ages'

Hmm No wanting to go out for the evening with just me for a nice meal or anything....he really is the least romantic person ever. He doesn't mean to be he's just so rubbish at that stuff!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/03/2013 21:29

I'm a bit DP fed up too. He's gone to the pub for "a pint" as footy is cancelled tomorrow n we can spend all day together, fine. When pushed a pint is actually see you after last orders, still fine. Now footy's back on, so I have to wait in for the viewer and spend the afternoon alone.

I also spent all day scrubbing the house and he's not even scraped his dinner plate. Just left it with scraps on by the sink. Who wants to bet that today's the 3rd one in a row where he doesn't so the bottles as promised? For someone who works such long hours he can be a lazy twat at home!

EggsMichelle · 01/03/2013 21:48

DH is on nights, and in his sleep deprived state threw a major tantrum about there being no butter Hmm turned out he was actually really stressed about work, upset by negativity of the team and still not being paid, but it took not being able to make a sandwich to get it all out! He's going to be asleep all day tomo, so have to entertain DS all day again, maybe I can teach he to iron?

SeymoreInOz · 01/03/2013 22:05

DP annoying me here too. I had quite a bad night with DS, he was up easily every 2 hours and inconsolable at times. DH went straight out from work (again), got back pissed at 11pm and went straight to the spare room. To be fair he tried to give DS a bottle a few nights ago (so I could sleep) but he wouldn't take it, so he poured 100mls of breastmilk away! After I quizzed him it turned out he hadn't warmed it up enough, I had to point out that DS won't drink cold milk! He's just about to take DD to her 9:30am swimming lesson in a hungover state. That will learn him.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/03/2013 22:26

I forgot to tell you all, I got a call from the HV to find out how a 10 week old baby could possibly tip over his moses basket! She said he shouldn't be able to do that until 4-5 months Grin I think she thought I'd balanced him on a high shelf or something! She was nice though. I think if you have nothing to hide you can tell! I literally said I have no idea how he did it, I'll just have to take him off his stand. I didn't even offer any explanation as there is none other than his super strong thighs. I may be on some kind of watch list now!

WLmum · 01/03/2013 22:29

I need to be on that hoarders programme! Aargh!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/03/2013 22:31

Maybe just set fire to the house WL and start afresh in Mexico?

HoneyMumandSon · 01/03/2013 23:21

willyou how big is your LO now? I'm watching D even more than usual like a hawk in case he decides to cope the bed flipping!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/03/2013 23:27

He is 11lb 7oz, long and skinny. He's quite a tiddler for his age, just under the 25th centile. Very strong though, every doctor he's seen has commented on his excellent muscle tone!

WLmum · 02/03/2013 00:06

Unusually early wake up tonight. Bonus.

IsThatTrue · 02/03/2013 00:21

WL I'm near Croydon so not too far from Guildford but only really doable if I have the car.

Well got 1/5 of my overtime done tonight Hmm this weekend is going to be fun!

Fx for better sleeping for everyone tonight!

WLmum · 02/03/2013 00:35

After I have eventually settled this monkey, I'll be going downstairs to make up a replacement gaviscon. After which I suspect it will be time for one of the othe dds to wake me up. Feeling very meh.

WLmum · 02/03/2013 00:41

That should say wake me up again. Meh!

isthat totally impressed that you're working at all already let alone doing o/t. I have panic attacks when I think about work Sad! Nothing awful about my job and lots of positives but it's low paid and not going anywhere. I left a well paid corporate job that didn't fit with having kids. Wish there was a middle ground...with unicorns and flying pigs I expect! Will need to seriously look for another job next year as financially this one is not sustainable but it's the old part time trouble.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/03/2013 01:19

Well it wasn't the four hours I wanted but it was over three so I won't complain. Really thirsty might poke dp and make him get me a drink Grin

MaMaPo · 02/03/2013 02:25

Oh little, expecting you to replicate last night's sleeping was obv too much. Back to 3 hourly. Still, she had been asleep all day, and doesn't sleep beget sleep?! Yawn...

IsThatTrue · 02/03/2013 03:50

WL I will do anything I can to keep us in our house (which is a blooming expensive private rent, although now it's less than the market average rent round here as the landlords haven't increased) as there was a time when pregnant that that was looking like a pipe dream. So needs must and all. As fit a career, I've done this job for 8 years and it is by no means a career but it fits around the kids really well so I suck it up. But I've never really known much else tbh as I was pregnant with dd st 17 on a GAO year between gcse and a levels. Oh well when my kids grow up ill go back to uni and do all the ace demos and work stuff them.

Sorry that turned into a massive ramble Blush

First wake up of the night but we didn't come up until midnight so not super impressive!

2blessed · 02/03/2013 04:17

Not too many on here, so lots of sleeping LO's...? Smile

Thanks all, Ds screamed through both jabs then I popped in a bottle of ebm and he's been fine ever since. I on the other hand had a few tears, never seen him cry like that.

utopian99 · 02/03/2013 04:30

Oh blessed I know what you mean. It was the betrayed look on his face that got me, I spent all afternoon feeling guilty, even though it's for their own good!

Put O down at 11 on his own upstairs and then fell.asleep on the sofa snuggled up to dh watching avengers (highbrow eh?) he woke at 2 for 15 minute power feed and was back in his hammock sleeping by 2.25, and me asleep by 2.30! That sort of feed I can deal with - almost too fast for me to go lurking on MN..
