Oh figgy - I'm sorry it's been such turmoil but I'm glad you're getting there with the pregnancy. And think, once you get back on the pregnacare bandwagon your wee will be highlighter yellow once again!!
I shared a bedroom with my brother till we were 8 & 6, so even if it's a girl that bridge can be crossed far in the future.
jiggle and northern hope you're cruising merrily along in the sunshine and showers and not sitting in traffic down a dorset lane somewhere!
aethel a fun fair! I hope you're there now, it's super sunny finally after a blustery morning. I've just discovered a place about 20 mins drive from us that serves sunday dim sum, we should do a dim sum lunch one day. I wonder where cheung lives, I bet she knows all the best dim sum places!
seven how's it going, are you guys heading home soon? I just brought round a loaf of bread to my neighbours who just had their second on thursday morning, another boy for them and his name is Rory. I can't wait for a newborn snuggle!
Ok pushchair digression - ignore if not interested in pushchairs
For someone not massively interested in pushchairs, I currently have three pushchairs in my not terribly big dining room (front door opens straight off the high street into the dining room so this is where they have to live). Our own Baby Jogger City Mini which is great but just a single.
Then one neighbour brought round a Phil & Teds Vibe which is nearly new and she is selling for £250-300 (just the single pushchair, no extras) - it is brilliant on grass and bumpy ground but feels really gigantic, like driving a range rover.
And our other neighbour, and in fact the former resident of this house, brought her old Phil & Teds Sport (2009 model) which she is selling for £50 with all the extras, newborn cocoon, raincover - it's very well used and the shopping basket is a little damaged, nothing some duct tape or even some sewing can't fix.
It would have to be pretty bloody wrecked for us not to take the £50 deal on the sport I think - I think we'll probably only need a double for a year tops given how much DS has taken to walking everywhere and how much I like my sling (though I think I may have reached the point in my pregnancy where daily slinging of a 13kg boy might be getting tough).
I have read some worrying things online about the p&t sport, eg. tipping over when the kid on top gets out, the kid on the bottom can touch the spokes of the wheels etc. But loads of families have them round here and swear by them so there must be some way to deal with these issues.
