Seconds I wouldn't be waking him now, in the first couple of weeks or if there's weight issues then yes but otherwise enjoy your sleep!

Ds isn't settling think he might be up for the day Hmm

First night with grobag=success. However, we only have 1... Been looking and from what I can gather 2.5tog is suitable all year round in an average temp room...? That's what we've gr currently but way to get some more. Really like m and s ones but they're all 1.1tog. Sounds a bit chilly!

Secondsop · 14/02/2013 05:54

spotty he is really weeny, on the 0.4 percentile, but he is at least tracking it now and not dropping way under it unlike at the start. He did settle straight back down after that feed which is good - he's fast asleep now. He's doing well at sleeping actually. Lately we've been having lovely sleepy snuggly lie-ins together, after his morning bottle. The cat has even joined us, staying at a respectable distance at the foot of the bed.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 06:02

Why don't you let him sleep as he wants then when you get him weighed again see if it's made a difference. If it had then you start waking him again?

Honey I tend to use 1tog in the summer when it's really warm, which is never Wink

HoneyMumandSon · 14/02/2013 06:11

I wondered about 'when its warm' but living in the grim up north that isn't a major concern... Thanks spotty

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 06:19

Grin I'm hoping for a better summer this year last year was awful! Our bedrooms get really hot we have to open all the windows and keep the curtains shut. Also if it gets really hot you can get 0.5 (I think) that are thin as sheets.

Shock First time ever (six years) I've got flowers in the morning and not grabbed from the garage on the way home! Also got a cd Grin

Aww that's lovely spotty

HoneyMumandSon · 14/02/2013 06:47

We're having major feeding problems- he keeps trying to latch on and then bouncing off and screaming. I still think thrush making his mouth uncomfortable but idiot hv thought not. Don't know whether to take him to gp or call bf support...

MaMaPo · 14/02/2013 06:50

Spotty, never fear - amongst all these good sleepers I am here to make you feel better. 2 hourly. It feels like such a backwards step.

I don't think she's waking up hungry though - she's only feeding for less than 10 minutes and isn't desperate to latch on. I think she's either a bit ill (though seems fine) or is brewing a big poo which is keeping her unsettled and unhappy. Either way, it's keeping me unsettled and unhappy too. I'm exhausted.

Off to the GP for checkup and jabs today so I doubt my sleep tonight will be any better...

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 06:59

Honey I would call bf support, that's what ds does when he's having a bad evening but he doesn't have thrush, I've never worked out what it is?

Mamapo welcome to my gang I have galaxy counters to cheer us up (I can't stop eating them they're amazing Blush)

Ds did a massive poo then fell asleep before I could change him Confused

Sorry to those with non sleeping babies.

Well ds2 woke at 5.05 and I may have kept waking/feeding until my boobs felt better! Then I snuggled and MN until now. He's just wiggling now so ill feed him again before the big kids get up.

Toddlers today and then baby clinic this afternoon to chat with the hv about his allergic rashes.

MaMaPo · 14/02/2013 07:52

:( finding out how difficult expressing I'd when you're stressed. Baby is crying with my husband and expressing is taking ages.

Very confusing, she's normally quite placid.

utopian99 · 14/02/2013 08:29

After 3.3am feed we slept till 5.30 and then 7.30! (normally up at 6.30 too - this id good for us...) still monitoring stabby pain but seems to have subsided a bit. Confused

ISpyPlumPie · 14/02/2013 08:39

We're (sort of) getting into a bit of a routine - bath at 7.30pm,then feeding and snoozing until we go up to bed. Then sleep until 3.30, feed, sleep until 5.30 then sleep until 7.30/8.00 ish (pity that DS1 rarely sleeps past 6.30 though so don't get to make the most of this bit!) He does seem to have got to grips with grobag+dark room = sleep in basket for more than 5 mins now.

Not doing much for valentines here, but woke up to card and roses.

Off to a sling meet this morning - want to find out more about woven slings, given N is growing so quickly think we might need something more substantial soon.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 10:13

So my sister asked 'are you going to do BLW as you're breastfeeding this time?' Grrr she does wind me up always labelling everything etc

PurplePidjin · 14/02/2013 10:31

Wow, so ff babies are only allowed to eat mush then Hmm i think some of my mum friends will get a shock when R is older - not only do i believe in reusable nappies and wrap slings, I'm a big fan of the word No :o

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 10:37

Dd had a mixture of 'mashed' food and finger food and it worked really well for her so I will try the same this time. I don't see why everything has to be one or the other Confused

HoneyMumandSon · 14/02/2013 11:09

Been to dr - as I thought thrush hadn't cleared up after last time so is now worse and affecting feeding so back on medication. Hv should have noticed it apparently as is fairly bad. Hmm, I have less and less belief in these people...

halesball · 14/02/2013 12:06

Well it turns out my DN does indeed have Measles and has been living with us for the last 2 weeks. Their now staying at my nans and i have to keep an eye on Heidi for the symptoms which she has a few of but they can be explained by other stuff as well, such as a common cold and thrush. But i am worried.

We had a really bad nights sleep here too i only actually managed 2 hours all together i am exhausted and feel like crying with it

MaMaPo · 14/02/2013 12:13

Oh hales, poor you. Fx no measles turns up.

Little C just had her jabs - I didn't cry but that was horrible. Poor screamy baby. Still at clinic now having lots of comfort feeding before walking home.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 12:14

Honey your HV is useless I hope it clears up soon.

Hakes I'm Shock I can't believe they send your dn home. I hope she makes a speedy recovery

I am highly irritated by my GP today. I took The Little Mister for his jabs and my post-natal check up (which incidentally was shit - he took my blood pressure and wanted to talk about contraception and that's it) and about 2 mins into the appointment the GP got a text from his daughter and the next thing I know he is on the phone to a hairdressers ranting about cancellation fees etc.

It was clear that he was distracted and annoyed and I felt that he certainly did not give us his full attention or consideration.

He is usually really good so I am trying to be generous and hoping he just was having a bad day.

FriendofDorothy · 14/02/2013 12:18

Oh, the other thing, I am thinking about getting a Connecta sling. Does anyone have one?

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 12:19

Shock FoD that's awful how unprofessional!
