Boo to jabs. I must chase Ts up as she was 8 weeks yesterday and I haven't heard anything yet.

Am holding my breath as she is in bed!!! A full 2 hours earlier than normal! Am really hoping it doesn't backfire with her wanting to get up for the day at 4am, just in case I'm all tucked up too - after the last 2 nights of vomitfest I'm happy to be in bed by 8.30. Just waiting for DH to join me.

Chloe55 · 13/02/2013 20:38

spotty yes it's 4wks later-I'd chase them up if I were you.

IsThatTrue · 13/02/2013 20:56

Our jabs have to be booked in. I did ds2s after his last appointment while he screamed the surgery down

chloe I hope dd is ok. Ds2 had a temp for 24 hrs. They can only have 2 doses of 2.5ml then they need to be seen by a doctor, just in case it isn't the jabs causing the temp. But if it is just the jabs then they can have 2.5 ml up to 4 times in 24 hrs. The doctor told me that they aren't too worried about a temperature after jabs the only time they really worry is if the dcs is screaming non stop. Ds2 also got an allergy rash 24 hrs after that lasted 24hrs.

I wasn't allowed to eat dinner today ds2 decided he was hungry instead Hmm

ISpyPlumPie · 13/02/2013 21:25

We get a yellow baby summons for jabs here with an appointment, but there's been a few glitches recently as they've moved to a new computer system so you have to contact the surgery if the next appt doesn't come through in time.

Hope LO is ok Chloe.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/02/2013 21:31

That's what we get ISpy but not had one yet think I'll phone tomorrow

hales hope everything is okay with your niece and lo.

isthat If O is hungry and it's just the three of us at home i just boob him while eating supper one handed. Dh has been known to dice my food for me like a toddler to aid this effort - it's all glamour in our household!

No major valentine plans for us as we went out for dinner on Monday night instead while dm minded O. Lovely to have two hours just for us actually. and to have a large glass and a half of wine

HoneyMumandSon · 13/02/2013 22:06

Hope all the poorly LOs are ok.

Valentines here is hopefully gonna be a nice dinner after put D down. DH gave up smoking when I found out I was pregnant but has collected zippos since he was a kid and they've become a valentines tradition so have got him a silver zippo engraved with Dash's name and birthday

2blessed · 13/02/2013 23:12

That's a lovely gift honey

We've not planned anything for Valentines but thinking I might walk up to the really nice butchers near us and get something a bit special, maybe a couple of T-bone steaks.

We had our 6 week check today. All fine and groovy with DS, he now weighs 5.58kg! I'm still struggling with my right wrist so I have to go and get a splint fromthe hospital. Has anyone else had a problem with their wrist post partum?

He's been in his basket since 10 tonight.

WLmum · 13/02/2013 23:37

Ha ha yeah right she was down at 8.30! She was up again at 9 and because I was pretty much asleep I just took her on with me and we had a 2 hour nap together. Just trying to feed to sleep now so she can go in her cot.

Secondsop · 13/02/2013 23:54

My valentines present is going to be a night without doing the night feeds, to be given to me at the weekend.

utopian99 · 14/02/2013 00:04

I've been having stabbing pain in what feels like my right ovary or thereabouts since 7ish that's quite uncomfortable. Have started a thread in general health (is that the right place?)

Anyone have any ideas? Link is here

WLmum · 14/02/2013 00:13

Sounds uncomfy utopian. I'd keep an eye on it unless it becomes severe or you get a temp in which case to the dr ASAP!

Just going to try to put dd down again - 3rd time lucky!

Secondsop · 14/02/2013 00:22

utopian I've posted on your thread; could be mittelschmertz, or it could be something appendix related or an ovarian cyst. All of which are things I've had. Keep an eye on it.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 00:39

Just feeding ds but I'm really desperate for a wee!!

monsterchild · 14/02/2013 02:08

Spotty I have been known to just go to the loo child happily nursing. I did have to put him on the bathmat to finish up but he didn't seem to care as i put him back on right after.

FriendofDorothy · 14/02/2013 02:20

2blessed I have a very painful left wrist which is taped and splinted. I have been told it os seething called De Quervains tendinitis.

EggsMichelle · 14/02/2013 02:51

F has been asleep since 7.30, and is still asleep now Shock he is making some very cute lips smacking noises, my boobs are starting to hurt!

No valentines for us, it's my birthday Saturday so I don't like taking the glory away from that!

WLmum · 14/02/2013 03:33

Wow eggs that's some sleep! For us earlier bedtime = shorter stretches. Worth it? Not sure.

Chloe55 · 14/02/2013 03:48

Fingers crossed dd is feeling better, she fed and changed at 12.45 and again just now (full clothes and grobag change though Angry) I asked hv again about her green poo and she said is foremilk imbalance but don't worry which is really frustrating as pretty coincidental that these green poos started when I had gastroenteritis, she feeds well and drains my boobs, is gaining weight. Spoke to gp about it today and he initially said will be to do with my illness but should have cleared up by now then changed the subject Confused. I think I need to stop stressing, she's doing well so I guess what I'm doing is working.

We are not celebrating valentines either, never do as it's ds's birthday just before and mine just after-we are going for our first meal out, just dh and I, on Friday-am quite excited Grin

EggsMichelle · 14/02/2013 04:29

7.5hrs!!! However now he isn't tired and doesn't want to go back to bed, so we are up watching TV. My cold is getting to me now, and my eye has started to get gluey!

2blessed · 14/02/2013 04:43

Sorry about your eye eggs but yay to 7.5 hours sleep.
Hope the pain has subsided utopian

Glad I'm not the only one friend. Its really frustrating I feel like there is always something at the moment...

We're up feeding, he slept 10-4.

IsThatTrue · 14/02/2013 04:51

I need ds2 to wake up now, my boobs are hurting. He's been down since 10! I'm not complaining though, yay to more sleep!

chloe I'm glad dd is feeling better. It might be worth speaking to clarella or researching 'block feeding' she found this helpful with fore/hind milk imbalance.

EggsMichelle · 14/02/2013 05:20

Yay, it's looking like the good sleep club tonight! isthat it was my boobs that woke me up too! It's taken 2hrs, but f is asleep again, so looks like I can get a bit more sleeps too!

SpottyTeacakes · 14/02/2013 05:34

Hmm well I was really happy with our two and a half hourly feeding but it's more than shitty compared to you lot!

Dd's at MIL's today and I did all the housework yesterday so can spend today doing nothing. I'm going to nap if I can and get a nice long bath!

Secondsop · 14/02/2013 05:37

6 hours between feeds here! But, at what age / weight is it ok for them to just sleep as long as they want? I woke Z up at the 6 hour mark as the health visitor told me not to go beyond 5. (Whoops). He was clearly very hungry when I woke him but had been sleeping peacefully before then.
