Oooh some interesting ideas there!
Some would have to be vetoed due to family/close friends/ex-boyfriend connections sadly, one of them I love but is my name spelled backwards...ever since that was pointed out to me I've gone off it!
Interestingly Alexander and Joshua were the two names on the shortlist for DS2, but neither suited him, so they're back on the list this time. I just don't love them, but maybe they'll suit this baby?
Nathaniel was the only boy's name we had in our heads for DD, good idea to put that back in the running. Also I had been wondering about Dylan, that's a name that's growing on me. Similarly Thomas/Tom. Is Harry too popular at the moment...?
teabag 'Dave' is the only baby name suggestion DS2 has made
I like Mark too, but we have a very short surname, so not sure. Did wonder about Matthew, but not sure if it goes with our other boys' names. Hmm.
debs how did the last day of nursery go?
meglet have you phoned the doctor???
DS1's last day of playgroup is next Friday. We've had his report which is very comprehensive, but I don't think particularly accurate since he's only been there 6 hours a week and there's a whole load of stuff they've not ticked off him being able to do because they've simply never seen it. The report goes to school, so I worry about them having wrong impression of him (I actually wish he could start with a clean slate rather than them having a preconceived idea of what all the playgroup kids are like). I don't know whether or not to say anything on the report feedback form or just leave it.
DD had her first sports day yesterday. She won her first two races (we had no idea she was fast, neither did she it turns out!) but came miles behind in the egg and spoon race - she was so intent on keeping the egg on the spoon that she totally forgot the racing element, she crossed the line ages after everyone else with the biggest grin on her face, having the time of her life, it was so cute!
