Pass - I think you and me have the same feeding worries!! Except you have a good rack. Mine are apparently flat :)

kissyfur · 24/01/2013 17:36

Thanks pass i might give that a try.

DP and I laughed at the 84 outfits lady. LO also spends most of her time in baby gros. Also she has grown out of all her 0-3 month leggings. I had to go and buy her some more yesterday, I got 6-9 months and they fit round her waist! Obviously a bit long in the leg tho. She's a proper little chunk

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 17:36

I just remembered another song which I sing to P when she is fussing with her bottle. It is rude and massively inappropriate

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 17:43

When I first got pregnant my DH said to me "passme, that body was made for making babies." Strangely my granny always used to bang on about my 'child bearing hips'. Sadly the magnificent rack was not enough for our P. Their rather sad state now is a tad depressing considering! I would have loved flat boobs at one point - I always thought women looked more elegant with flat boobs.

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 17:43

I have a song. I've been meaning to mention it.

A thousand years by Christina Perri. The lyrics just got me! I heard it for the first time the night I'd decided the game was up and I'd succumb to induction. So I made a playlist and put it on my iPhone. It reminds me of the horrible hours I spent before he arrived, and the joy I felt when he was thrown in my arms. I sing it to him and play it a lot. He calms right down!

These are the lyrics anyway...

Heartbeats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow
One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything take away
What's standing in front of me
Every breath
Every hour has come to this
One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you

Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

One step closer
One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 17:46

It has meaning in the lyrics because I waited many years for the chance to be a mummy again :) though not quite a thousand years!!

And that I had to be brave and conquer my fears to go in to hospital to have him!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/01/2013 17:47

Oh bigpig I had to turn the JL ad off everythime it was on for fear of being a blubbery mess!

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 17:49

I looked at my body this morning and shouted at it!

What the fuck have you done to yourself, what even is this! This is not a figure! Figure of 8 maybe...

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/01/2013 17:57

Glorious Day...Embrace....

For all my children

Is all I have to say.

Xxxx

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 18:00

I that the Frankie goes to Hollywood one?

detective that is a weeper!

Speaking of songs and weepers there is an advert on Scottish telly just now that sets me off every time. It is for Caledonian Best ale and it showing a man throughout his life. It really gets me though as his dad dies and doesn't get to see him get married. Why could they not have done it married first then loses dad? I think I am massively hormonal today.

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 18:01

maybe we could compile an album of these tunes?!

kissyfur · 24/01/2013 18:04

'You are my sunshine' is my song for both my DDs

I also sing 'Beautiful Girls' by Sean Kingston to them, well the chorus anyway Smile

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2013 18:06

Just checked period tracker and I am, in fact, due today. Phew - now it all makes sense!

FatimaLovesBread · 24/01/2013 18:15

Hi all!
Feeling a bit crappy today so going to catch up on the thread see if it cheers me up.
DH has come home so I've passed M to him and escaped to a red hot bath

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 18:16

Still wondering where my periods are Hmm.

Not that I want one.

But ya know, then I'll know stuff is working again!

glendathegoodwitch · 24/01/2013 18:34

Awwwww detective those lyrics made me all teary!!

Welcome Katie - hugs flower - like others have said give yourself a break and try and have a little you time to have a bath or read a few pages of a book - have you tried fenugreek capsules?? They're about a tenner from holland and barratt and I really believe they have helped me maintain my supply!!

Welcome zycos!!

Wow our babies are growing up and yeah life is a little easier than the newborn days!! And now we get gorgeous smiles and coos as a reward!! They'll be rolling over and sitting up soon eeeeeeek!!!!

Ds song is rock dj by robbie Williams we used to dance to it when he was stressing out

Dd1's song is heartbeat by Jose gonzalez - it was playing on my mp3 when she was born and still makes me well up

Unfortunately dd2's song could be gangnam style as I was doing the dance while off my face on gas & air in labour - though I'm saying it's Bruno mars and I think I want to marry you - cos in the early days we would sing it and she would shush and stare at us all!!!

Album sounds lovely and we must put the duck song on there!!

Am envious of those in reusable nappies - if I wasn't going to uni I would have tried them this time round - I keep getting posts on my wall from designer bums and their neon range is gorgeous though they are Australian and don't think they stock anywhere here or I'd be v tempted!!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/01/2013 18:35

I sing you are my sunshine to DD1 too. I have a wall sticker I got from notonthehighstreet.com that says you are my sunshine. It's over her bed. I can't think of anything that I sing to E. DD1 sings to her a lot though.

So got E weighed today. Weighs exactly the bloody same as she did last week. So HV came round this afternoon to see if she could get her to take milk from a cup. She used a bottle top. Was hilarious to watch. E was having non of it. She did eventually get her to take a bottle though by pretty much clamping her mouth to it so I wouldn't call it a success but I guess it's a step in the right direction. She's coming back on Tuesday.

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2013 18:41

Ya bunch of softies

pass do you have a shag tracker too? Do share your rude song...

detective do you need to POAS?

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 18:44

Nope! I need to have a period Grin

I stopped expressing/bf on 19th December. So it should be here sometime soon!

I never need to POAS anyway. I'd go off the dog and start puking everywhere. Grin

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 18:46

My mum got all gooey on the phone at me earlier. She said there is just something about Oscar that draws her to him, she said he has something special about him. My mum is not the soppy cooey type. I suspect Wine.

Daft bat! Wink

Maybe I can persuade her to have him on the saturdays I am working after all mwhahaha!!

Pikz · 24/01/2013 18:49

When it took a long time to get here for months it was snow patrol this isn't everything you are and the first couple of really tough weeks was Coldplay the scientist.

He was born with abba and queen playing in theatre!!!

ValiumQueen · 24/01/2013 18:49

If it is a girl you might get different symptoms.

DD1 is 'brimful of Asher' as that is her name. DD2 is a made up one involving her name.

TheDetective · 24/01/2013 18:50

Can we have a roll call please! Which posters are MIA?!

Peaky?
Tits - though I saw your Kermit on facebook!
CharleeWarlee
