Does GF not suggest giving sugar water to babies for colick? I wonder what it is that would make sugar work? I am currently experimenting with reducing the infant gaviscon that P gets to try to sort her out a bit. I told the doc on the phone the other day that it is like trying to balance two evils - reflux Vs constipation.

daisychain76 · 13/01/2013 22:18

blonder l think l?ve said this before but a dr told me to put plentty of babby bubble bath in LOs bath and slosh it up his bum!

detective no idea how to link but the mei tai was by mns design and they do loads on ebay. l got the funky flowers pattern, but they are all reversiblle ~ black on other side).

l?m not keen on pill/implants. Told dh if he is adamant we can?t have another he should have the snip, but appparently that would be ?mutilating his body?. Hmmm, what abouut the three ear piercings, nose piercing and that tattoo you want then?!

Elizadoesdolittle · 13/01/2013 22:20

I love your proposed new thread title vq

I'm getting a cold. Which I know isn't a big deal but we've only just got germ free in this household and I could do without anything doing the round again. Bleugh.

ChunkyChicken · 13/01/2013 22:24

Just had to wake DS. Admittedly he was starting to stir but he last fed at 6.15 & was asleep from maybe an hr later until just now. If that is the longest he'll go tonight, he's in the shed tomorrow night doghouse Hmm

horseylady · 13/01/2013 22:24

Blonder - hugs. Try cooled boiled water. You can add some gripe water too.

Back at the drs tomorrow with e. Were going to labelled Monday morning people. Thing is this has literally just occurred!! He's well, I don't think it's anything more than a uti. So I'm going to see if they will do a double appointment!!

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 13/01/2013 22:24

Sorry if this is TMI but I'm finding sex very uncomfortable, it seems to burn internally. I'm surprised because I had a c section. Is anyone else finding this?

ChunkyChicken · 13/01/2013 22:29

toomany are you ahem lubricated enough? If you're ebfing you can have low oestrogen which means a dry fanjo...

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 13/01/2013 22:39

I'll let you know tomorrow Toomany! Had a Wineto try and get myself in the mood, not sure it's working tho Blush

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 13/01/2013 22:45

Second time we tried we used lube but it just seemed to make it burn more! Have another Wine kissys

pikz · 13/01/2013 22:46

Horsey that was brilliant. I can't believe we are all not doing that.

After a night of me crying and being ill, DP and I went for lunch on our own. I finally talked and talked. We are getting there, I think we both underestimated the impact different bits of this would have on each other. We also finally started planning the wedding. Something to look forward to and apparently DC2 as well...we shall see Wink

I had the mirena as I said previously and found it really good for heavy painful periods and the only downside was putting on a little weight. I think we will be on condoms til we try for number 2 as this one took and while and two ops to conceive.

TheDetective · 13/01/2013 22:58

Kissy - straight cut or leg cut model?! Thanks for the recommendation! Am hovering over buy it now.

Indecisive cow!

Have spent the evening listing all Oscars up to 1 month clothes on eBay. And buying the same ones in the next size up Blush.

I hate listing on eBay. So fucking tedious.

DP in bath with Oscar, and I have to do the washing up. Something is wrong here!!!!!!

VQ Oh how you make me laugh, poor J. Pissed off in his sleep, eh?! Bad mummy Grin. Little monkeys these babies! BTW, Oscar would only take the avent classic shape dummies. Tried a couple including Tommee Tippee ones. He said fuck off mum to all the others!

I have the combined pill. After much nagging the GP for it. Due to my raised BMI they do not want me to have it. It is my last ditch attempt though. All the other kinds didn't work (coil/implant/mini pill) for one reason or another. Its this or condoms. TBH I'm doubling up. I don't want another at the minute!! Take no chances....

Please work...! And don't kill me. Grin

The GP did note that my weight yoyos though. Last time they weighed me in 2011 I was 11st 6. Bastards :(

TheDetective · 13/01/2013 22:59

Oh, and Horsey you made me squeal with laughter - so fucking true!!!

TheDetective · 13/01/2013 23:01

Toomany I burned internally after my section. I find it more enjoyable now. Even though my fanjo hurts at everything else, once its in so to speak, it relieves some of the discomfort. I need a good stretch. Grin

I needed lots of lube after DS1/section.

TheDetective · 13/01/2013 23:01

I mean I find it more enjoyable after DS2.

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 13/01/2013 23:13

Straight cut model detective Smile

FreddieMercurysBolero · 13/01/2013 23:39

Grr for you that he didn't take the bottle VQ! Maybe tomorrow night.

L has been asleep since 7. I want to go to bed but I know he will wake the minute I close my eyes. He's farting lots which is a sure sign of imminent waking...

Boo for constipation blonder:( no advice but hope it gets better.

MissMummy1 · 13/01/2013 23:58

Came up to bed 4 HOURS ago with M. Bar one 5min doze on me she has been awake and screaming the whole time. I'm slowly losing the will to live. I am soooo tired. DH cant get off site before 7am either so I'm it. Sad Annoyingly he is asleep on the boatEnvy . She:s now cooing at her reflection in the mirror. Luckily this act of cuteness has saved her from sleeping in the garage (I am of course joking ish )

TheDetective · 14/01/2013 00:10

Sorry, I missed your post Daisy! just seen it - thanks!

Doing a last feed. Bit late, but someone was in the bath forever! Oscar is very sleepy though. He fell asleep after 2 drops pretty much. Did the sure fire thing of plonking in basket. He stayed the fuck asleep! Arghhh! So DP did the cruel parent thing of pretend dropping to startle him. It kinda worked. Trying to get at least 2oz down him or we won't even get 3 hours out of him!

Baby group tomorrow. Never made it last week through dp and my dad one thing and another. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

TheDetective · 14/01/2013 00:12

Sorry MM bad timing of crossed posts. Blush

Swapsys?!

MissMummy1 · 14/01/2013 00:26

aye sure detective. she has a wardrobe that rivals most gap baby departments, a boat (what the f*ck inlaws think she needs a sailing dinghy for now I will never know!) and a M&P swing coming from eBay this week. Shall I send them on? Will you take DH too? Grin

The false hope that the swing might cure her insomnia is keeping me going right now. (another hour and we are going out in the car again...)

GTbaby · 14/01/2013 00:29

Omg. Exhausted. Trying to get LO to sleep after all tonight's excitement. Hopefully he sleeps in tomorrow Grin Hmm

He has started sucking on his fingers. So cute. But I don't want it to develop into thumb sucking Blush. Should I stop it?

Any way need to take make up off. Will take a while. Post updates later.

CandyPop · 14/01/2013 01:12

Serious guys, I miss a day of reading and I have to catch up on 8 pages?!
Maybe gt's suggestion is not that bonkers after all. however when this word limit comes into place I shall be setting up several mn accounts and post using several different alias Grin

evil glad to hear that you and dh and stepping in the right direction

can't remember who was asking about Ewan ..... I know you were asking about someone who it hasn't work for... For us is not like a miracle cure .. Ie. it's not like Ewan and she's asleep BUT it makes the transition from being sleepy /asleep on us to her cot seamless. Also when she sometimes stirs in the middle of sleep in between feed we turn him on and it sends her back to sleep. If she was fussing and wide eye then Ewan doesn't work. HOWEVER we love Ewan and think he is worth every penny, in fact I would pay double for him!

detective OMG!!! what a cnut!!! I like vq suggestion of next thread stunt Grin . In fact we should just abandon this thread now and start a new one with that title!!! May I add another suggestion - lets p1ss that Cnut right off and call it 'November 12 - no excuse for not sleeping through the night now unless there's something wrong with your baby'

kirrinIsland · 14/01/2013 03:45

Good idea candy

N has just done the biggest burp ever - She's not very lady like! She is, however, asleep so she can be as un-lady like as she wants! Now I just need to join her.

ValiumQueen · 14/01/2013 03:51

3.5 hours then 2.5 hours. Just feeding again. Was up with DD2 though, then I could not sleep as was worried J was sleeping too well.

Ewan helps him drop off and keeps him and me fairly chilled. It will be a good transition object when he goes in his own room, hopefully before the age of 12.

ValiumQueen · 14/01/2013 03:52

Above is time actually asleep, not just between feeds. Big improvement.
