OMG I am so behind. Monster catchup coming.
On the jeans front, I know the pain well of finding the right pair, squid wantan smile and huffle. huffle I know levi?s do 36 inside leg and I would second the recommendation for Zara as their trousers are always insanely long and cover my entire feet (though I am 5ft9, it?s all torso). I bought a pair of temporary jeans (aka I can?t fit into pre preg and wearing preg jeans too depressing for words) - butt-lifting ones from tesco online (£16) and they are not bad at all. Still a little snug round the waist but hopefully if I keep doing yoga etc then they will fit. Oh and huffle tesco do long leg length too but not sure if long enough for you. smile I?m told jane Norman is the shop for you ? a friend of mine was similarly shaped and swore by their trousers.
Also: has everyone seen this site which takes your actual measurements and tells you which shops would fit you best. sizes.darkgreener.com/
Cannot remember who said they used to wear jumper dresses and couldn?t any more cos of BF, but boob design do some dresses you can BF in. Just a thought.
Re dream feeds, interesting, yomping. We have a system that DF goes in to wake and feed her at 10.30 whilst I sleep and then I deal with her after that. I?m going to be down at my parents for a week so no-one to do the 10.30 feed so I may try not waking her up for that feed and just wait til she wakes me up. If I go to bed at 9 and then I get a 2am feed and then 7 (say, I?m being optimistic, here), then that has to be better than getting her up for the 1030 one too. Interesting.
Couldn?t agree more squid re naps leading to better sleep. When DD is overtired she won?t feed, won?t settle, etc etc. hideous. Much better to ensure naps. Though one of my friends? daughter won?t nap at all during the day and sleeps for 12 hours at night. Think I?d rather that if I got the choice!
mickey sympathy re the shit nights.
Happy hols crazy. We are talking about going away in April and I have the fear about going away. Weird cos going to my parents doesn?t scare me particularly, but the thought of aeroplanes and airports etc. EEK.
woolybob good luck being single parent. I had to do it for 5 days whilst DF and MIL were away and it was manageable, if a little lonely. As you say, full respect to those who are single parents. Also wish I could knit but am rubbish. Fortunately MIL can and is v.keen. yay for that.
squid I agree with you re not wantng your child to perpetually be in stuff that?s miles too big. But that?s probably because I was a third child so never had any clothes bought for me and just had to wear whatever was available. We?ve been lent huge numbers of clothes so have only bought 6 babygros so far I think though.
I?m going to see a heavily pregnant friend today and will try not to spread doom.
huffle on the remarks on DS?s size. How odd.
celestia you are awesome for managing with twins. Well done!
Hiturnwest yes, dd is allergic to milk too. I like the almond milk. Oat milk isn?t bad either. Haven?t tried the icecream yet but sounds like I need to! Thanks for the tip. The freefrom range of biscuits etc from sainsburys is great. And I find cornflour in sauces instead of a roux works absolutely fine when cooking. My mum did me an awesome (dairy free) almond cake. I must ask her for the recipe. Will pass it on!
firsttime it was odd when DD was in her cot (in another room) for the first time. But I definitely sleep better without her.
londonmrss parenting is full of glamour isn?t it?? Hope the rest of your night out was fun
