I'm supposed to be doing some Christmas shopping today, but perhaps I should leave it till tomorrow? After all, it'll be hell on earth and if the world ends I'll have wasted my time and money. I knew I should have planned something fun for today instead.

Today is DPs first day back to work! In a supermarket 4 days before Christmas. He hasn't forgiven me! Grin He is only in 1130-3 though so he can stop moaning!

I've got to do the school run at lunch time. Ive got a million and one other things to do. I don't think I'm gonna manage it all but hey ho. Important bits are - take boys in to my work for my Lion King moment! Try and get a GP appt for my mangled bits. The rest of the stuff can be slotted around those. DP is taking DS to school when he gets back it gives me an hour to get ready before he goes to work. I need at least an hour for something resembling human!

We had a fun evening last night. Started feed at 9.30. Was finishing at 1030, well DP was as he took over so I could get organised for going to bed, when Oscar projectile vomited all over DP and himself! By the end of the clean up operation we had shit and piss in his hair to add to the occasion. It was one messy bastard of a job! We've not had one of those yet... So about time maybe?! Ended up having to bath the poor child! Also discovered a really nasty red angry looking nappy rash on him. Which hadn't been there at all 3 hours before. We ended up realising DP had taken advantage of Tesco offering free wipes in the baby changing room , and this is what probably offended his little bum! GRRR! He is all metaniumed up now!

Oh, and as his skin was still dry on his head, I picked up some
Dentinox remembering it had worked for DS1. Well fuck me. It worked. But took a whole layer of skin off. AND LEFT A FUCKING BALD PATCH. Right at the front of his what little there is anyway hairline. Luckily it isn't that obvious. But WTF?! Please tell me it will grow back!

Anyway. Morning! Hope for nice leisurely days for everyone else!

Should also add - DP deserves some sort of award for 'things a man should never have to do to his other half'! He massaged my mangled lady parts for me in the middle of the night lol! Inside and out Grin and then put a nice soothing layer of thrush cream on for me. Poor guy. Think he should be traumatised! He seemed to enjoy it a little too much though... Hmm.

Sophia, beat you with a milk cushion. DS1 split all his cereal down the sofa. So, in true horrible child fashion, instead of cleaning it, or owning up to it, he turned the bottom cushion over.

As soon as I walked in the living room, I noticed the cushion was the wrong way round. Flipped it, and discovered said milky mess. They don't call me the detective for nowt. DS still wants to know howni noticed... Bloody git. He's had 3 punishments for one mess up! One for eating on sofa. One for watching TV in the morning while eating on said sofa (tv banned in mornings). And one for lying about it.

GIT.

And I've now got a smelly crusty sofa. It won't clean up properly. :(

I have given my daughter her snacks from yesterday (healthy-ish things like raisins, apricots, breadsticks etc) & her juice in bed us, not the juice, that's in a baker & put a dvd on for us because I CAB to her up - does that make me a bad mummy??!!

A has been woken by me for a feed because he was starting to stir & it'd been 3.5hrs & I do NOT want another day like yesterday...

UK time? So lunchtime for me. I'll be in the car. Maybe it's my bad driving that will set off the Apocalypse. My DH often says he feels like it's The End when he gets in the car with me.

detective my dsis told me about the dentinox stuff's ability to remove hair so I have avoided like the plaque, esp as DD didn't have cradle cap until quite late on (or maybe it didn't go & I'd ignored it until she was older & it seemed odd perhaps?) and she had a really thick covering of hair from birth, she would have looked really weird. It does grow back though, apparently.

I got an appointment for DD1. She didn't go blue or anything in the night, but she was obviously having trouble breathing and I want to rule out any need for hospital before the weekend because over here they keep them in pretty much as a rule if you take them in at the weekend. LO in hospital was relatively easy, her being a newborn. DD1 would be everyone's worst nightmare. If today was a Sunday I would be taking her in. She hardly slept, coughed really badly and when it wasn't the coughing waking her up she just woke up and screamed for no apparent reason. I keep forgetting she is still a baby as she is so big but she
Is barely 21 months, so still at risk of damange from minor things.

We had no problems with dentinox, but also it did nothing for the cradle cap. I used olive oil slathered in, then left for a few hours (did not go out) and shampooed out. Left hair lovely and soft. They both have very thick hair.

I must admit I had a little cry hearing about all the long sleeps you have had. DS is 8 weeks old and occasionally sleeps three hours. I was spoiled with the girls I know. I am just so tired and I am sure the little lad would sleep if only he could breathe. He is however asleep in his cot at the moment as he found a finger! He has been asleep since 6.30. He can sleep as long as he wants.

pass ds did 10 to 5.30 between feeds, 11.30 to 5.30 sleeping. Each night this week he's woken up an hour later since Tuesday. He then settled back off about 6, and woke up at 8. I'm quite happy!!!

Just skimmed the rest of the thread sorry. gt we have a joint bank account much simpler!!

Checking in....

Had peads appointment yesterday. No real answers re E's poor weight gain. She may have mild broncilities (sorry for spelling) but there isn't anything they can do. I'm sure there was somebody on this thread who LO had it. Was it J yellowwellies apologies if not and I have you mixed up with somebody else. Anyway once today is over we have a quieter time coming up. Lots of people to go and visit but I'm just going to sit and feed E and let others bring me supplies and entertain DD1 Smile going back on 2nd jan for a weigh in.

I went out last night for dinner with friends. Had a nice time but got home to find E had only taken 40ml of ebm from a bottle and had just grizzled the home time I was out. She really isn't keen on the bottle but I don't think DH tries hard enough. It's a struggle but I manage it in the end with lots of coaxing. I need to too her up as much as possible and also have a few more nights out planned so she needs to get better at having a bottle! She doesn't get nipple confusion, just doesn't like it.

Grumbledore is back. God he grumbles on and on and on when he needs a poo Hmm.

Chunky, wish I'd bloody known grrr! I googled but didn't find any other similar tales though??! At least it should grow back though! It's right o his hair line at the front!

Can I just say, I hate our chuffin' cars. Seriously. Now DPs car has a flood in the passenger foot well. Add to that his dodgy door handle, broken reverse light (but not the bulb!) electrical fault, door seal falling off in rear drivers side, engine management light on, yada yada. You get the picture. Angry

And my car with the spare wheel hole filling with water, which has caused mold to grow while I haven't been driving. And a very fuckjng squeaky seat belt (assume because of the water getting in the car?!). There is more. But I'll cry if I carry on.

Oh and while I'm at it, I need an electrician to fix the plug behind the waking machine, and my outdoor light.

Fuck. If I carry on listing all the broken shit, I'll be here all day. Worst thing is, it will all have to carry on falling down around me until the summer at least when my wages get back up to normal.

Waaaaaaaah!!

VQ If it is any consolation, I share your pain. Babies will go three hours from us first falling asleep, after that it is commonly 1 to 2 hours, especially after 3am. Four hours' sleep is the most I have managed in one go in nine weeks, and that has happened maybe twice. My first three childen slept through from 6 weeks. 4 yr old slept through from 12 weeks. Maybe these two will start sleeping through within the month?

eliza it was my J who had bronchiolitis. There are a couple more babies that have had it too. 3 weeks on and he still has a horrid cough and vomits the mucous every day or so. We have all had colds, still do. It can make them more susceptible to chest problems for a long time after Sad

I really hope those who are sleep-deprived get some rest really soon. I wish I had made better use of P's marathon snoozathon.

What do people mean by sleeping through? I think we have had this discussion before but I can't remember the consensus
