Bellaboo123 · 19/12/2012 22:11

Wow you lot have been chatty today!

Seconds thinking of you - I'm sure all will be ok.

Well I'm on antibiotics now for mastitis...feeling a bit better now and luckily didn't have a bad night with A, here's hoping for another good one. Rarely...hope you're feeling better and it's not mastitis.

Question - does anyone else's LO grunt and kinda clear their throat?!?

MaMaPo · 19/12/2012 22:14

Bella - constantly. She's doing it right now. Sounds like a rhinoceros/garbage disposal hybrid.

Bellaboo123 · 19/12/2012 22:20

Mamapo...lol! The noises are unreal aren't they...is it normal?!?

HoneyMumandSon · 19/12/2012 22:25

bella constantly - Dash's cacophony of noises scares the hell out of me but am getting used to them!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/12/2012 22:40

Well we've been feeding constantly since 8! Hopefully it means he'll sleep A bit more than last night?! Hmm he's wide awake ATM though!

Sorry for those with mastitis. It does not sound like much fun at all!

Off to register Ethan as a real person in the morning. Gotta pop into mothercare too to exchange a spider baby outfit for a super baby outfit (we got 2 spiderbaby ones!).

Fx for a good night for all tonight!

brooke89 · 19/12/2012 22:52

Hope all with mastitis are ok and manage to get some rest tonight.

honey I'd put a cardy over if needed as will be easier to take off?

Off to register Isla tomorrow as well stacey really excited!

Haven't stopped feeding since 5:30 and she refuses to sleep - just drove around for 30 mins get in the house and she's wide awake screaming for the boob again! Confused Where is the off switch?!?!

HoneyMumandSon · 19/12/2012 23:12

No idea where off switch if brooke ifyou find it let us know?!

I thought just cardi but then thought he's normally in short sleeved vest and long sleeved sleepsuit plus cardi if cold it's so confusing!

brooke89 · 19/12/2012 23:20

I know I haven't tried anything else yet apart from vest/sleep suit combo!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 19/12/2012 23:35

If R is wearing dungarees and the vest is patterned, i put his sleepsuit on underneath the vest. Groovy vests are really fecking useless though imo! I would put something under a non-popper tee shirt because they ride up and his tummy might get cold.

HoneyMumandSon · 19/12/2012 23:55

I agree they aren't very practical pidj but as people have bought then for us we want to try and get him in them. U long sleeved vest under a short sleeved one (bother with poppers) should be ok shouldn't it?
Thanks for tip about. T.shirts- vest underneath for Christmas Day!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 20/12/2012 05:52

Two sets of poppers on top of each other would give me compression leaks, but that's not an issue in disposables...

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2012 06:43

Phew better night here. Ds woke at 7, 10, 1:20, 3:30 and 6:30 maximum of half an hour to feed and change and straight back down each time. Dp did the 1:30 with a bottle of ebm not sure how much he drank maybe just under 3oz is that ok?

HoneyMumandSon · 20/12/2012 07:04

That sounds perfect spotty - Dash has anywhere between 2.5 and 4oz when he has ebm.

I have just had the longest stretch of sleep I've had since Dash came home. 3.5 hours :) he's making up for it now by filling his nappy on my knee while feeding. Nice.

DH is off work today so has offered to have Dash for a few hours so I can go into real-town (Newcastle city rather than local shops!) excited and nervous about leaving him! Would be better if I didn't feel so fat so could try clothes on!

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2012 07:07

Ah have fun Honey! You can get into the festive spirit! Dp reckons Felix had 100ml he really gulps it down Confused

RarelyUnreasonable · 20/12/2012 07:15

Ooh have fun honey!

Think ds is having a growth spurt. Constant nursing from 8 til 1, including 120ml of formula. He then fed at 3.30 and 5.30 and is stirring now, so a much better night. Phew.

Off to toddler group with both babies today, with the assistance of DM. Don't think I'd try it alone just yet...

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2012 07:30

Argh the road to the main road is flooded already (a few cars stuck in it too) and I need to take dd to nursery this afternoon. I'm going to have to go miles round and won't be able to come home between.

Gosh rarely hope you're feeling ok after all that! Can you get a nap in today?!

WeeJo08 · 20/12/2012 07:44

Better night here - took her a while to get down because she threw up so I waited to see if she would want more but she didn't so got her down at 1. Up again before 4 and then 7:15. Not too bad & infinitely better than the previous night! Woooo!

Have fun honey Smile

Drive safely, spotty!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 20/12/2012 08:39

Cluster fed 6-11:30, slept 11:30-5:30(was very wriggly at 4 so i passed him over to dp!), fed then slept 6-8:20 (i joined him when dp left for work at 6:45)

Started off on me, finished up co-sleeping Xmas Confused

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 20/12/2012 08:40

We had a better night too thank god. Was just finishing getting Ethan ready for the school run and he peed all over the bed! Argh! Lol. DH got dispatched for the school run pretty quickly!

Gotta go get the train to town in a bit in the rain :( not looking forward to it, but excited to get little man registered. Might even have to do my first public breastfeed! Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2012 08:56

Sounds great pidj!

stacey I've still only done it in the car Blush

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 20/12/2012 09:03

For bf in public, find a sofa and have your back to the room. Upright chairs are very uncomfortable when you can't easily shift position! Having someone else around to fetch you tea and cake is also very handy Xmas Grin

WeeJo08 · 20/12/2012 09:03

Stacey You just reminded me! I did my first public breastfeeding on Tuesday! Once in Pret a Manger & again on the bus. Was a bit nerve wracking but pleased I managed it & she only fussed a little bit. Was worried that I wasn't covered up enough but DH said it was fine. What are the rules/laws on breastfeeding in public? I'm a bit unsure.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2012 09:08

weejo law is that you can do it where you like and no one can tell you otherwise I think?!

Our bin men are so nice they came into the garden and got our bin then put it back again!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 20/12/2012 09:15

Thanks for the tips pidj

And well done weejo in quite nervous, I'm not the most discreet at home but we'll see how it goes.

spotty if we were taking the car then I'd probably do that too. But Croydon at this time of year it seemed sensible to get the train. It only takes 15 minutes, which is quicker than driving anyway. Really wish it wasn't raining though.

WeeJo08 · 20/12/2012 09:26

Thanks Spotty - I will be armed with that if anyone says anything! Totally agree about trying to find a sofa (though not an easy task - especially at this time of year & if you have a baby who wants fed NOW!) In Pret I fed her on a wooden chair & it killed my back & arms, also because I usually set her on a cushion so I'm not used to holding her up! [feeble emoticon]
