I loved kate's thread name but thought we needed a birthday theme for this one. We'll soon have 6 weeks of birthdays to celebrate!

LittleMissFlustered · 27/11/2012 00:23

I detected and am now up to date!

LittleMissFlustered · 27/11/2012 00:26

In other news, I am seriously not enjoying breastfeeding. It's painful as he gnaws. Dreading teeth:(

thekatsatonthematt · 27/11/2012 00:31

LMF I can't even imagine how bad that must be. DS isn't BF anymore, but LOVES to bite. Only me, DH and DM though, so we THINK it is affectionate.....Confused

Gary you should probably share your lovely news for those not on FB Wink

Get well vibes to all those poorly or with poorly relatives.

LittleMissFlustered · 27/11/2012 00:35

He refuses formula. And cow juice. Likes water though. Onwards eh?

MerryChristMoose · 27/11/2012 02:07

What's the FB page?

LittleMissFlustered · 27/11/2012 03:51

EasilyBored set up a top secret closed group on the farcebook so we could share pictures with less hassle and no nosies. She's not on the thread much but if you track her down and PM her your details she'll add you:)

Muffinpig · 27/11/2012 07:14

Aha I see. Congrats GBT! Too weird saying Gary!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 27/11/2012 07:35

Kate, hope FIL's op goes well today.
Figgy, hope they find out the problem asap.

LMF, gammon sounds like my kind of cooking! I shall purchase one later. thanks for that.
Sorry bf isn't great atm, hope he improves/decides he likes cow juice soon.

DS is fully on cows milk for feeds now & will feed himself it, which makes him believe he could handle a spoon, massive tantrums whenever there is a spoon he's not allowed to hold.

I'm just an random perv who likes discussing grumpy babies with ladies. Grin
Oi was right, I've namechanged (mentioned MN to someone who doesn't know about my mc/ttc)...and am pregnant again after last months crapiness at staying pregnant.

Figgygal · 27/11/2012 07:46

Morning all

Congrats gbt!! Fingers crossed!!

DS is almost finished his Ton of formula he's not 1 until 22/12 am thinking will buy 1 more tin b4 moo juice but should I bother?

Aethelfleda · 27/11/2012 07:58

morning!

figgy, if he's not used to moo-cow milk why not get one more tub and then switch him over with half and half for a while? Or give moo cow milk in the day and formula morn and night? Of yourse if you don't have a crazy milk monster like mine he may only be on a few bottles anyway... We're switching over once Christmas is done but he's not one til the 3rd.

Gbt woo hoo, congratulations! (tentative hug) hope it all goes well this time! How far on are you? I quite like the idea of gary (or nigel: makes me think of punk rockers!)

Off to solicitors' this morning with a pile of paperwork and id....

LittleMissFlustered · 27/11/2012 08:48

I think I saw a part of every hour last night. My boobs feel like they're going to fall off:( The minions are still full of nasty achey plague so are off school. I am perilously close to running out of basic supplies too. Today may not end well >_

CheungFun · 27/11/2012 09:27

Morning everyone,

Well I think I exhausted DS last night so he woke with a little cry at 5am then went back to sleep until 7.15am - hooray! I had him walking up and down the living room about 30 times on his baby zimmerframe :o

LMF sympathy from me! It's bad enough with one of you being ill, let alone all of you!

Figgy we've got 2 more cartons of formula, so I think that should last until DS is almost 1 year old. I think it's a bit like weaning though so. Don't think switching to moo juice would be a big issue if you run out of formula before his birthday. I can't wait to stop making up bloody formula and sterilising bottles :o

SevenElvesAndAReindeer · 27/11/2012 10:38

DD slept past 6am for the first time in months!

GBT huge congratulations! Are you feeling more positive about it this time, I remember you saying last time that you felt something wasn't right.

Hope your mum is better soon figgy, and your FIL kate. It must be so tough being far away from ill family members.

My back is killing me today, it was the same with DD, DH is therefore convinced we're having another girl Hmm. I'll be in the second trimester on Friday, it's going alarmingly fast!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 27/11/2012 11:06

Seven, I was feeling fine about it all until about 2 hours ago, my boobs felt like they've deflated & I'm cramping so I think we're in for another month of shite, would love to be proven wrong though!
Cannot believe how far along you are already!! It's flown by!

for LMF, hope the minions make today easier for you!

Xiaoxiong · 27/11/2012 11:55

Yay congrats Gary!! I knew it wouldn't be long after last month that you had some good news Smile

DH and I got norovirus too which means DS managed to infect 10 people.

I'm getting broodier and broodier, and now DH is fully on board with Operation DC2 - but there are so many good reasons to hold off until Feb/March to start trying (if possible).

  1. If it works out we will have another winter baby and can reuse snow suits/coats/hats etc in the same sizes.
  2. A winter third trimester means I can reuse my winter maternity clothes, coat etc.
  3. Another Dec baby means DH can be at home to help for the whole of the Christmas holidays like he was with DS.
  4. My colleague is 10 weeks pg and if she takes 6 months off as she is planning then I can go off when she comes back, or with a very small overlap where we are both off.

Interesting about this colleague - she and I went to law school together, same trainee intake, are the same level in a v small team and virtually interchangeable in terms of our experience etc. We have discussed many times the fact that if we both had kids but wanted to keep working we could eventually make a good business case for a job share as we pass work to each other all the time already (although my 3 days a week is working well for me so far). She has the worst sickness so I'm picking up some of her work - with recent norovirus memories I know how she feels! (I was lucky enough to have no morning sickness with DS). I think she should just get signed off but she's far more conscientious than me Grin

OiMissus · 27/11/2012 12:08

Good luck gary. Hope everything's ok.

Figgygal · 27/11/2012 12:36

Oh how I laughed this morning DH called to say that DS had had a massive poosplosion ? he heard some nappy rumbling and looked over and could actually see the poo rising over his trousers and through his clothes, of course he HAD to throw him in the bath and HAD to throw his clothes out the window, DH is having to clean the bath as he said it looked like a curry had been thrown in it. DH thought he got it all but when he put him in his bed to get some new clothes he had obviously missed some as then his bed sheets were covered in it ? all of this happened 5 minutes before the cm picked him up and she had to wait for 10 mins while he got him cleaned out and sorted. He sounded quite traumatised and is insisting he needs to disinfect his wedding ring but I just couldn?t stop laughing I am horrible aren?t i!!

KateKringle · 27/11/2012 12:40

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. So sorry to hear your Mum's still suffering figgy, hope it's all sorted soon.

I'm so pleased the gary mystery has been solved, I felt it would be impolite to ask who on earth you were! Tentative congrats to you, I hope this one's sticky.

I PM'd EasilyBored months ago about the FB group but still haven't been allowed access

Sounds pretty grim for you again today LMF, I hope there's an improvement soon

I'd love to start dropping milk feeds and switching to moo juice, but DS is still pretty rubbish at eating so I'm reluctant to do so as I think he's still getting a fair amount of nutrition from the formula at the moment. It's one of those chicken and egg situations though I guess, and there's a possibility he may eat more / better things if I did drop the formula. It's a dilemma, and something I didn't have to go through with DD because she hoovered up everything put in front of her ate well from the start

SevenElvesAndAReindeer · 27/11/2012 12:43

xiao those are great reasons to wait, just remember life doesn't always go to plan! How long were you trying for with DS? Me and gary both started trying when they were still only a few weeks old, it took us both a good while to get pregnant again.

gary I did find that this time I found it very hard to relax following my previous mc until I'd had my scan, it was quite an anxious few weeks, to the extent that the scan almost didnt seem real because I hadn't quite let myself believe it. Do you think there's any chance you could get an early scan? Given the chance again I think an early scan would have really helped put my mind at rest.

Figgygal · 27/11/2012 14:26

I saw easily on another thread the other day i guess if she is not going to play with us anymore we should try and redistribute the ownership of the FB group so the more active of us can get involved? Anyone want to ask her about it?

Xiaoxiong · 27/11/2012 14:41

I asked ages ago about the FB group too and I'm not sure I was ever added.

seven we tried for about 2 days last time Blush but this time I think we would be happy for DC2 to arrive any time after October 2013 or so, with the expectation that it could take months to conceive. Also my periods have been back for a few months now even though I'm still breastfeeding so I'm hoping that means my body is ready. Who knows. You're right to remind me that life doesn't always go the way you want it to, the best-laid plans and all that.

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 27/11/2012 15:39

DH & I are in talks about me being a stay at home mum in new year Grin so happy about it as exhausted doing everything.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 27/11/2012 16:30

Looking on the fb group, it would seem I have an option to add people to the group....if anyone fancies pm-ing me their name (or pm me & I'll send you my fb page link) & we'll see if it works!

DSM, good news! Although if you're both working ft, how comes you're left doing everything?

Good luck with no2 Xiao, like seven mentioned, it took us both quite a while to get pg again after babies, so who knows how your body/cycle has been affected by being pg!

seven, if I'm not bleeding by next Tuesday, I'll go to the GP (and hopefully as there's not been a period between mc & this one, I'll get a scan referal without asking), if they won't give me one, we'll probably get a private one (want to tell family around Ds's birthday, but want a scan before then to confirm there is a baby in there).

LittleMissFlustered · 27/11/2012 16:31

I'll ask EB if she can make me admin on the group:o

LittleMissFlustered · 27/11/2012 16:34

Oi and benny are admin too...
