climbing great on the walking. Took W to get his first 'proper' shoes today as he's getting closer to walking still cruising at the moment tho.

eng hope you both feel better soon x

sassy congratulations on 10 years hope you have a lovely day.

duck how did S appointment go today?

We have a top tooth at last. Explains why he's had a cranky few days!

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 24/10/2012 21:13

App today went well sp Smile. Doctor very happy with ultrasound results. Her vagina/womb/ovaries etc are all in correct place and correct size. Thinks its possibly a prolapse of tissue but as its not changed in size, not to worry about it. He will want to see her again when she is slightly older and re asses to be sure it won't cause her problems in the future, but if I have any concerns just to take her straight back to him and not go through the GP. I mentioned the scratching so he said just to be careful that it doesn't bleed if she manages to get it. Forgot to ask him about the possible thrush so I might try get her to see the GP in next few days and her wee bum isn't looking much better. I'm wondering if it would just be the same cream given to adults as I'm sure I have some laying about Blush.

Still can't get over the shock of little Bea Sad. I remember her post from the day she was at hospital saying they were taking her in to deliver Beatrice there and then! She put up a brave fight for such a little girl. I couldn't help but cuddle S just a little tighter tonight. It's just heartbreaking

Hope everyone is well. Give your babies all extra kisses tonight Smile

That's great duck what a relief for you Smile

It makes you want to hold onto your baby and never let go doesn't it, the whole family is so brave cups post has just had me crying.

TallyBear · 24/10/2012 21:36

So sad about little Bea. How awful. Poor Cup

sassy34264 · 24/10/2012 21:58

mummyduck good news about S. I'm not sure if they can use the same cream or not. Prob best to nip to gp's just in case.

I went on to cup's thread to leave a message, but only read 2 posts and got so upset i couldnt even see the screen. Spent 10 mins crying and hugging my 3 little ones. I can't bear it. I love them so much it breaks my heart to think of anything happening to them. I think cup is a much stronger mum/person than me. I think i would need sedating. I did manage to look at the pics on her profile though and she's sooooo gorgeous.

mummy i remember it too. Mostly because it was history repeating itself. On the twins thread, the first baby was born 3 months premature, and then i was the 2nd with twins. Then on this thread, cup was early and then the next to be born were twins. (sorry D ive totally forgotten your mumsnet name!)

I'm glad she had as much time as she did with bea, and sad she didnt have more.

sassy34264 · 24/10/2012 22:04

strawberry hooray for the tooth.

Eva seems to be no tooth for ages and then 3/4 at once.

i've been a very bad mum, and still not got around to getting eva's last injections done. (one time, we had been out for the day and got stuck in traffic on the motorway and missed the slot, another time, i totally forgot and missed it and then i had to cancel another time. ) finally booked it again today, for next wed. fxed i remember

Anyone want to remind- feel free........wed 2.10pm

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 24/10/2012 22:55

My goodness, her new thread is just so sad. I can't stop the tears for this little girl. I'm so glad they got to spend as much time as they did with her. Life is so precious

Thank you duck that's lovely Smile I seriously considered offering to knit one but I really don't have the time at the moment, I'm barely lurching from one end of the day to the other.

My god, S has spent what's felt like all day screaming!! If I leave the room she comes running after me screaming at the top of her lungs. She does something that I tell her 'no' to, she tries and tries again to do it. It's pure rage coming from her!

Duck thank you for doing it from all of us, very much appreciated.

there is a wonder week at 55 weeks. From memory I found the 13-18 month part with DD very hard work. The stage where they can get everywhere but don't understand much. That's when I gave up eating at cafe's, realised if at a children's centre we would be outside the whole time etc.

TallyBear · 25/10/2012 20:34

Duck That sounds lovely. I'd offer to do one but I have no idea how!
And I hope that S calms down soon. Has she gone to bed OK?

Sassy thanks for reminding me, I had completely forgotten there is another injection around this time. I'm sure last time our doctors wrote to remind us.

I got a call from the childminder today to say that Seb woke up from his nap with a rash and spots. Panic stations as this weekend is birthday weekend with two parties. Left work (amid warnings from parents at work about chicken pox and checking the diary for next week in case I need to be off!) to pick him up. It didn't look too bad and he seemed quite happy so I decided to head to the pharmacy instead of the doctor. I spoke to two and they said it's not pox (phew) and think it might be a viral rash. He was grinning and messing about as normal so I don't think they were too worried, but when I did his bath there are little red spots everywhere. It does look quite alarming. Pharmacist said to bath him with baby oil and take to doctors tomorrow if not improved. Only problem is now is that his bath, seat and toys are all greasy, urg.

Can I ask, how much milk are babies still having? Seb is still on 3 x 7oz bottles and nearly always finishes them all. He does love his milk. I do feel, now that he is almost one (where has that year gone?!), that I should reduce it.

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 25/10/2012 20:50

She is 55 weeks on the dot!! It's been a trying day and I ended up putting her to bed at 6.45pm as I'd had enough Sad. Don't know what it's been about! She broke me heart at one point though as I was sitting on the floor clearing away some toys and she came over to me crying, I semi ignored her, so she sat down beside me, stopped crying, took my hand and began to do 'round and round the garden'... I just looked at her and she smiled inbetween the sobs Sad so I gave her a cuddle and we read a book but then I go to get up and she started again!!! Your right about this being a trying age. I think she is just becoming so frustrated that she can't do what she wants. She was raging earlier that she couldn't get up onto the couch and then when she couldn't push her toy out the room as there were things in the way.. Sigh

tally hope rash clears up, but I'd go to GP tomorrow to have it checked. No harm and will put your mind at ease. S is having a cup of milk in the morning when she wakes while I make breakfast and then 5oz at night. These are the only definite times I give her. She doesn't bother through the day but sometimes I will give her some to drink, like the other day we were out and I bought her a carton of milk that she drank threw straw but then decided blowing bubbles was more fun and soaked herself HmmConfused

Right, cup of tea for me and USA X factor on itv2 Grin

tally poor S hope he's better in the morning. W is still having 3 x 7oz too as long as he wants it I'm happy to give it to him.

We have had the date for W's operation confirmed (as long as HDU bed can be booked for him) as 15 Nov so that's good. Because of that we've been asked not to give him his jabs until after his operation and recovery.

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 25/10/2012 22:03

So glad you have a date sp and little W will be back and fighting fit for Santa coming Smile

That's wha I was thinking tally mabe pj 's will last longer, P seems to grow I t her baby grows so fast. She got a new pram suit for winter the other day and it's already snug, DH said she felt like a packaged baby when he picked up her!

Congrats on the proper walking climbing don't think we could call ours "proper" yet Grin

Congrats to mrspebble too, hoping to see a pic on FB, hint hint :)

Congrats on the top tooth strawberry, P still only has about quarter of her firs tooth, I thought once it started to show it would be through really quickly, not chance! Her baby friend who is younger has 8 teeth and she is still gummy (keeps her looking like a baby though)

mummy the blanket sounds like a lovely idea. It's absolutely heartbreaking to read cups story, it had me bawling too. Glad S's appointment went okay, if it's a prolapse of tissue would he not cut it out? < disclaimer, knows nothing about these things >

CheshireDing · 25/10/2012 22:48

Happy Birthday babies pink ed tally and strawberry in advance [hgrin]

Glad you have a date strawberry and hoping the engels house is feeling better.

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 25/10/2012 22:54

S two bottom teeth are still only about half way, that's been almost 2 months now. I'm guessing the top 2 will be next, but no sign of them yet. I find it fascinating that some babies much younger have almost a mouthful Grin
cheshire I kinda thought the same that he would want to have it removed, but I think as its not causing any problems just now, there is no need. It's like the size of a cotton bud tip so fills the opening of her vagina, I'm guessing they will need to do something eventually as I can only see it 'getting in the way' as she gets older althought I can't even think of things like that with her yet she won't have a bf till she is 25 Grin
