Penelope1980 · 23/10/2012 09:28

Hello! Grin Am still here (although just finished cleaning pasta sauce off wall as A was in a throwing mood during dinner)

sassy34264 · 23/10/2012 09:41

I was a day early for j and L 's birthday i think. oops.

Hope they both had a good day, and the mums too Smile

pene Grin at the pasta sauce on the walls. I've cleaned it off the walls more than once. I have yet to do ceilings- so can't be that bad.

I'm counting down the minutes until my mum gets here. Going to be productive and get upstairs cleaned. Only gets a cat lick, as i cant leave them downstairs for more than a few minutes and they kick off if i try to put them in their bedroom to do it.

I also have to nip out to the police station, to log a menancing text i've had off the exdp. Bastard.......

My mum is in the processes of being medically retired, due to the stroke she had over the summer. It is a huge relief to her and us. She has worked in a category B male prison for the last 16 years, so it would be far from unstressful for her.

Just hoping they dont decide that she is capable of other forms of work though- you know what they can be like.

I'm also hoping dp doesnt see it as a reason for me to go back to work. Boo. I really dont want to. I'll have to play the 'my mum is too ill to watch all 3 of them, full time' card Grin

Climbingpenguin · 23/10/2012 10:52

I'm here, almost feeling normal again. I ended up pulling a load of muscles in my back from the coughing so was in quite a bit of pain with that. Plus dodgy internet connection

LittlePebble · 23/10/2012 11:39

I'm here! Got home at 3am after delayed flight and fog. I am utterly exhausted but we're off for our one "honeymoon" night in a posh hotel tonight (without the boy)

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 23/10/2012 11:41

I'm here sort of blooming exhausted though.
Happy birthday to all the birthday babies this week xx

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 23/10/2012 11:44

im here!

just put S down in cot for a nap, but she is in there chatting away to her toys and doing everything but sleep! i think she is starting to go much longer in the mornings now but only giving her 1 sleep usually isnt long enough and she is shattered by 5/6pm. yesterday we were out and about and never got home till 1pm. i put her to bed then but think she had gone past the tired stage but finally went off at 2pm but only for an hour. i hate this 'inbetween' stage!

climbing glad to hear you are feeling better
sassy hope everything is sorted today with exdp. do you have a court date for nov?

we have S app at the hospital tomorrow to go over results with ultrasound and what the plan is next in regards to the little growth. im trying not to worry as the sonographer was very happy with how everything looked and couldnt see anything out of place internally, but its just what they will decide to do now. she is scratching a lot down there when her nappy is off, may be perfectly normal but she really really goes for it! im starting to wonder as well if she maybe has thrush (if this is even possible?. ive noticed a few days ago some white stuff and she has a very slight rash. i used some cream hoping that it maybe was just nappy rash but not clearing up. i will ask about it tomorrow.

been doing some online christmas shopping this morning. ordered a few books for S and some small things for family. im trying to space it out as much as i can over the next few months so i wont notice the big hit on my bank balance in one go!

hope everyone is well Smile

I does sound like thrush duck maybe take her to the doc just incase, it is certainly possible for babies/kids to get it.

Have a great honeymoon LP
sassy hope things move on soon for you and Cmist be hard on you both. Have you got a court date yet?
I'm just getting organised for M birthday it's so funny but on the one hand it feels like this has been the longest year of my life but on the other I feel like M should still be a tiny baby and can't believe she's nearly 1!
DH and I have our first counselling session tomorrow and I'm quite nervous, don't really know what to expect. Confused

Engelsemama · 23/10/2012 18:49

I'm still here. Feeling very sneezy and full of cold. DH had to collect M from nursery today as he had a high temp. Hoping it clears up in time for Dsis's wedding this weekend. Just heard my other Dsis has also arrived in Sydney so she should be fine to get to the UK in time for the wedding. I haven't seen her for 2 years so am really looking forward to this weekend. Hoping I don't balls it up by being sick Sad

Sorry for lack of personals. May well call in sick tomorrow the way I feel (or have to keep M home if he still has a temp) so might be able to catch up tomorrow.

sassy34264 · 23/10/2012 20:14

Poor S mummyduck I never had thrush once until a couple a years ago and ive been plagued with it ever since. it's so annoying. Hope it all gets sorted soon.

Court date is 4th dec. was told nov in court but when letter came it said that date. Went to the police station and the receptionist was shit. Tried to fob me off, with, 'can you not change your number' and 'he might not mean it threateningly' stupid bitch. she doesn't know whether he used to beat me black and blue, rape me, beat our daughter or anything- she didn't ask. She doesnt even know when we split up, it could have been 3 months ago and i could be massively at risk. I Just interrupted her and said, are you telling me i cant log it then? She said you can log it but we will have to action it. Said ok then.......

ed good luck for your counselling tomorrow. Ive never been either, so can't tell you what to expect.

engels Get well soon. defo have the day off, will help to get you better quicker i'm sure for the wedding. yeah to seeing your sister after 2 years. I haven't got a sister and it didn't bother me in the slightest growing up, but i would love one now. Envy

CheshireDing · 23/10/2012 20:40

Happy Baby Birthdays to Out and Bunt :)

Am here but am spending a lot of time commuting, now need to make sandwiches and change a car tyre before bed to will come back and read and respond properly later.

Climbingpenguin · 23/10/2012 20:50

happy birthday to all the babies and hope you are all enjoying them as well

DS did his first proper walking today (rather than the random falling in three steps he has done until now)

MummyDuckAndDuckling · 24/10/2012 00:31

Aww sassy Sad. I'm so sorry that exp put you and C through all that

OP posts:
sassy34264 · 24/10/2012 07:30

mummy Sorry,

i didnt mean that he has done that to me. He never raped me- not even close. He never beat c either. I was making the point, that the worst could have happened to us and she didnt have a clue, but was trying to down play it and for all she knew, these things could have happened. Blush

The first one is true though Sad

Engelsemama · 24/10/2012 10:15

Morning all. M had a temperature again this morning so have kept him off nursery. I called in sick last night as well so we're both surrounded by tissues [hgrin] Just put him to bed for a sleep, so now time for me to snuggle down and watch some trash tv and do no work whatsoever I will have to pack later though. Not sure if I will go in tomorrow or not.

M decided that he didn't like our GP for the first few mins - refused to walk in, sank to his knees and started howling [hblush]

sassy I am Shock that a police receptionist would say that to you. There have been so many stories the past few years of women who were murdered by DP/Hs or ex-P/Hs after they'd been to the police asking for help.

Well done L Climbing ! Glad you're feeling a bit better.

Cheshire re: car tyre, I'm going to quote one of my students. Yesterday I was up a step ladder in the Drama room, putting our heavy blackout curtains back up when they arrived and he said, "Miss, shouldn't a man be doing that for you?" I was [hshock] but also LMAO. We had a little discussion about gender stereotypes after that [hgrin]

I'm sorry, I'm getting a little carried away with the halloween smileys!

sassy I always feel like being from a big family (1Dbro, 2Dsis) doesn't necessarily mean I'm close with all my family - more that I can pick and choose who I like the best! that sounds very cold-hearted I'm closest to my DSis who is getting married - we're only 3 years apart and we're both in stable relationships, same career path. I get on well with my younger Dsis but she's been travelling and working abroad for the last 2 years and is planning on going back to the Southern Hemisphere after a few months. I feel like we're at very different stages of our lives. My Dbro (who I have mentioned before) is a good bloke but really lazy and still lives with my parents - moaning about house prices while spending his cash on bikes and cars. Still, will be great to see everyone this weekend. We're havign a family meal early on Friday and sitting with Dsis and Dbro during the wedding so will be able to have a good catch up.

ed and duck hope your respective appts go well today.

pebble hope you enjoyed your "proper" honeymoon night [hwink]
