Pig of! Above!

anairofhope · 31/08/2012 12:53

Im a weirdo i have decided lol

i have hired a skip to get rid of all the old toys boxes old fence and stuff we dont need. Then a lady down the road has taken the gpig run and hutch, she asked but offered no money but never mind. So i have got the idea o do a car boot sale so we get some money and rid of stuff we dont need and Aaron can play shop :)

Im really excited about it all Blush because it means the house is getting ready to put on market and we can move but also its looking so much better with no cluter :)

anairofhope · 31/08/2012 12:59

I just need to put up a fence and paint the other ones now :)

Hope has loved being in pushchair out side watching and air has even been putting things in skip and helping. Both children have been really good so far.

Its a nice day to as its cold but bright and smells like Autum :)

BeeMyBaby · 31/08/2012 14:00

Oi I was hopping DD2 would manage to walk by 9 months but no joy - but I think Boi looks very confident with his baby walker!

When I fully stop BFing (which will be very very soon) I plan to do the fast, live longer type lifetime diet which I saw a few weeks ago on Horizon I think it was, where you eat normally for 5 days a week then eat only 500cals per day for two days a week, hoping that will keep the weight away and help my brain a bit as I put the sugar in the fridge the other day - arg. Baby brain is still around.

DH has almost finished his MSc (he's been at it for 3 years) and I'm hoping he'll find a job after that so that I can work part-time as although he helps look after the children for some of the time whilst I'm at work, he doesn't do housework...

aethelfleda · 31/08/2012 14:51

I survived the estate agents!

Shall look up the Zetter -thanks mopsy.
Hmmm donuts. Well, it is Friday! Grin

OiMissus · 31/08/2012 17:11

(That should've been "mmmm donuts")

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 31/08/2012 17:17

Well Done Air Bee & Aethel busy days for all I see.

Friday night. Darcie is at my mums for the night. My washing machine has been non-stop today. Sorted all school uniform out which now just needs to be ironed Sad then once Sky is in bed Wine time.

Adds Wine selection of cheese's & crackers to the table Grin

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 31/08/2012 17:18

also what do I need in a mini first aid kit to take away with us? so far I have:

Plasters
Antiseptic Wipes
Savlon

will buy paracetamol too.

what am I missing?

seven77 · 31/08/2012 18:09

dsm Imodium and/or rehydration salts? Hope you won't need them though!

aethel glad you survived, hope you got a price you're happy with.

DH would say he's happy to do housework but he generally doesn't notice it needs doing unless its desperate tbh. Like yesterday, he looked after both DCs while I done the collection. I wanted to Hoover before I went but didn't have time, he said it'll be fine until tomorrow rather than doing it himself. I know he's not used to having the 2 DCs by himself all day but I have to manage to get the hoovering done while wrangling them both.

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 31/08/2012 18:20

SadSadSad I turned my back for 2 mins about 20 mins ago and Sky went and disturbed the hamster and her finger got bitten, blood everywhere and lots of sobbing. feel awful. DH couldn't help much as Sky only wanted me. she's now fast asleep laying on my chest clutching on for dear life! SadSadSadSad

seven77 · 31/08/2012 20:24

dsm hope she's ok :(

Does anyone have any tips on discouraging climbing? Eva climbed on DS garage earlier, not just on knees actually standing on the bottom level around a foot off the floor and liking like she would have climbed onto the second level had she not been whipped off it. Obviously her safety comes first but I don't want to put it away, it's not DS' fault. I've already had to put away his pretend kitchen after Eva pulled it on top of herself.

Less than a week til the Paralympics and hotel room, no kids in the next room sex Blush woohoo! oi we're going first class, with the advance saver tickets at the time we're going it worked out at an extra £1 each Hmm :o

aethelfleda · 01/09/2012 07:59

Morning.. Had A rare night out last night with friends (yay!) while lovely DH babysat. Poor DS had an unsettled night with teething, even some late night neurofen didn't completely sort him out. The area i thought was a tooth breaking through has now sealed over so must have been a little gum scrape from one of his many minor head bumps through crawling... Come on teeth!!!

Hope sky is OK today DSM, sure she will be.

I didn't know you were thinking of moving too Air, are you guys going far or just moving locally?

aethelfleda · 01/09/2012 08:04

Oh and discouragjng climbing: no top tips really, just have to remove opportunity,or physically remove repeatedly with a gentle "no, don't climb xxx" and hope they eventualy get message! If it's very restrictive for Air. sometimes (it sounds nuts) might be worth getting a playden (babydan or somilar) or room divider but put his toys in it, and tell him that's his "den" for grownup toys!

My travel first aid kit (if we go away ad I remember it!) has plasters, a set of travel wipes (I don't use antiseptic ones Or savlon as they sting more!), a few travel sachets of neurofen/calpol and spoon, and paracetamol for grownup headaches caused by children!!!

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 01/09/2012 09:33

I've caught a bloody sickness bug feel lousy Sad

seven77 · 01/09/2012 21:12

Where is everyone? Hope you're all off having a good weekend.

dsm hope you're better soon and shift it before the honeymoon.

Nightmare here, nothing has happened with the flat sale yet, still no word from solicitors of the other party. My parents need the money we owe them to buy their new house despite a contract saying we had 5 years to pay them back Hmm. They met the bank today, they can't get a mortgage or bridging loan to tide them over until we complete. I'm so annoyed, we feel like we're under huge pressure and there's nothing we can do. Seriously though, who puts an offer on a house when they need £110k they don't have? Angry

LittleMissFlustered · 01/09/2012 21:37

That's their problem not yours. You're contractually covered, morally too. They're being silly:(

Long week. Just sat and watched Dictor Who with the kids and now off to bed:)

aethelfleda · 01/09/2012 21:44

Hi, I'm here! Just watched Dr Who (liked the plot device this episode!) and now knitting in front of telly as have nearly finished the craziest baby blanket ever. It weighs a ton!

That's sucky indeed seven, you're in the right but it is not helpful when relatives are giving you pressure. Can your solicitor give a gentle nudge -and tell the buyer to get the hell on with it ?

Had a day doing bits and bods and starting the pre-viewing declutter. I am such a hippy and hoarder it's a terrible combo that does not lend to minimalism!

And poor DS now has his first proper bout of nappy rash due to teethy bum. Metanium is on but I feel awful when they get so sore :(

LittleMissFlustered · 01/09/2012 22:01

We liked this episode too, and my eldest managed to guess the twist before the end so was very chuffed with herself:o

seven77 · 02/09/2012 08:53

Don't tell me, I haven't seen it yet!

What's crazy about the blanket aethel? I've almost finished a rainbow striped cardigan. Our solicitor has been trying to contact them but to no avail, doesn't help that the buyer is a pilot so spends half the time out of the country.

aethelfleda · 02/09/2012 09:02

It's a mixture of these wools seven, done in three inch stripes:
I used Macaw, Puffin and Toucan. It ended up taking 15 balls of wool as it's 110x130cm. It's a "generous" baby blanket....

seven77 · 02/09/2012 11:14

That's huge, would have taken me months! Sounds pretty crazy (good crazy, that is!)

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 02/09/2012 12:40

Seven That's pant re the other party and the whole thing tbh. If you don't hear from them in say next 14 days what's the next step?

Aethel Wow! That's impressive Smile I can't knit so Envy of your skill!

I feel so much better today. Think was 24hr thing and or connected to start of AF yesterday Sad still at least will be over with by time we go on honeymoon!

Brought last bits today for us to take away and some new clothes for girls too.

Just settling Sky for a nap. Darcie is in our room watching TV having a time out. DH & I are going to watch F1. Will be a great race as Jenson is on pole Grin

Have a good afternoon all.

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 02/09/2012 15:56

AngryAngryAngryAngrymen! My DH thinks he's the only one who tidies at home that all I do is sit on my arse. Because of course I don't feed, wash, clothe and entertain his children everyday. I don't wash or iron. I don't Hoover & polish or wash the kitchen or bathroom my house is just a complete bombs-hit-it! Hmm Angry
