As DS has rolled over back to front a grand total of twice I don't have a changing mat wrestle at nappy times....yet.

He hates being flat on his back now just wants to be sat up all the time. Been home 20 mins bath done, at gps today he had mince and tatties for lunch do light (low effort) dinner for him tonight Grin

Well lmf, I'm not an expert!! -but the brand of instrument is usually printed on the bell (eg my pocket trumpet says Jupiter). Judicious use of Google can sometimes locate the different model types/sizes: what make gig bag are you considering? The reason why cases don't fit is often longer tubing/wider bell/fourth valve between models, so if you can work out the model a good retailer will know if it should fit... Do you know how old it is? Failing that I'd sAy take a picture and measure a) the bell diameter b) the top-to-bottom length, c) the height from valves to base, and d) the width at its widest point.
Oh and one thing though: is a gig bag going to protect it enough? If you don't own the instrument you may need to check with the teacher if it's OK to get one as you don't want to spend and then get told to stop using it. I briefly had euphonium lessons at eight (loved em) and had to haul it home on a shopping trolley wheel set each week cos it was too heavy to carry!

LittleMissFlustered · 11/07/2012 19:20

aethel I've found these moulded ones cheap:o

KateM77 · 11/07/2012 19:57

I have another non-roller here, so don't have the wrestling match either. The problem here is that DS' favourite thing to play with is 'little Daniel'. He shoves his hand down there as soon as the nappy is off. This is not a good thing when he's done a poo! Trying to keep all four limbs out of the way and clean him up at the same time is not easy.

Figgygal · 11/07/2012 20:03

Kate it must be a Daniel thing the non rolling ALTHOUGH since I last posted he did back to front roll no. 3 and then dragged himself around the laminate floor (I'm not going to consider it crawling but was funny to watch).

LittleMissFlustered · 11/07/2012 20:37

I've mailed the seller the make and model, thanks for the tip. Seems a 'cheap' one retailing at only £500 or so as opposed to the £1.5k ones out there >_

LittleMissFlustered · 11/07/2012 20:39

Parp

LittleMissFlustered · 11/07/2012 20:42

Oh, and Octoboy isn't a Daniel, but has the occasional urge to see if he can remove the dangly bits. My other boy never did that so I keep forgetting I need to superglue his arms to the floor work fast before he works out he has access:o

MissRee · 11/07/2012 21:15

It's not limited to the boys... Freya has found her ladybits too Hmm

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 11/07/2012 21:19

Thankfully Sky hasn't found her Ladybits yet!

I've uploaded pics to FB of Darcie's new pad! Lucky moo, wish I had a room like that at 7yrs old.

NorthernChinchilla · 11/07/2012 22:24

Figgy, we're total grubs in this house, DS gets a bath once a week. We top and tail him each morning, and then each Saturday morning I get in the bath with him and he gets a good going-over. It was partly down to his appalling screaming fits about the baby bath from about 4 months on.

And another wee flipper here, we give him a toy, but for some reason DS is obsessed with the changing box and so twists over for that... no discovery of bits yet!

How scary mopsy, bet you had the shakes after that. I live in fear about it...

Really long, knackering day here- left the home at half seven, got home at eight fifteen; can't wait for the weekend and spending some time with DS (oh, and DP too Grin)

Major case of Banbury tonight. No sleep yet. Stupidly darnk coke earlier and been battling since:( Octoboy went 8-1 which makes it worse:/

When they start flipping, they forget their bits. BOi was the same a few weeks ago, he discovered something new as soon as the nappy came off... But now that he can move, he's forgotten his bits.
northern we have similar times. I leave the house before 6:30, get back between 6 and 6:30.
...I'll miss the co sleeping/ breast feeding, but I desperately need to get close to DH again. Our relationship isn't in trouble, but we need to rediscover each other again. ;)
...wrote this last night and didn't press "post"

seven77 · 12/07/2012 06:30

Negative test :(

mopsytop · 12/07/2012 07:32

Oh no seven, really sorry to hear that.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/07/2012 07:55

Seven Really sorry to see that Sad fingers crossed for next month x

Wow! Sky slept 7:15pm to 7:40am and is now eating a scotch pancake for breakfast.

Woke Darcie up in her new pad with Scotch pancakes & a yoghurt for breakfast all set out on her little table with a fresh drink of squash and Mulan on her tv! One happy camper up there Grin

OiMissus · 12/07/2012 08:20

Sorry seven. Onwards and upwards. x
BOi did very well last night. he went to sleep at about 8, didn't wake when we went to bed at 11.30pm, woke about 12.30 I think, had a feed, and slept through until 5.40am! then he only had a couple of minutes feed until my alarm went off, which disturbed him feeding - so he forgot about it, smiled and went back to sleep. We are getting there!
Anyone got a baby monitor they can recommend?

aethelfleda · 12/07/2012 09:38

(((hug))) Sorry to hear that seven.

Another 4 oz bottle this morning.. Think he may be cracking. For sime reason he seems to like sitting bolt upright to drink it (? So it's different to nursing?) it's very much trial and error I think. Onwards!

aethelfleda · 12/07/2012 09:40

oi, we have a cheapy Phillips Avent DCT monitor (£40) but my cousin swears by a £100 Summer brand monitor:it has a 3 inch video screen and infrared camera. If there are stairs between you and Boi it saves you climbing them to check him, as you can just watch on the little telly.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/07/2012 09:53

Sky weighs 15lbs 13oz. Growing perfectly between 25th & 50th centile! BLW is working for us Grin

BeeMyBaby · 12/07/2012 10:05

oi I vote for the summer video monitor too, got it second hand on ebay and it really gives peace of mind, and means I can see when DD1 is stirring so I can get to her before she starts calling on me, also means I can spot if her leg is jutted out cot and going to hurt if if she tries to turn in her sleep.

And I am going to start the stern approach re flipping with lots of 'no's !

CherryBlossom27 · 12/07/2012 11:28

Morning ladies :)

I've had enough of my "mummy tummy"! I've ordered a Davina fitness DVD, so let's hope amazon post it FAST!

I know I was 9stone before getting pregnant, and I weighed myself at a friends house and I'm 11stone 2lbs! I'll be happy to get to 9.5stone, so 1.5stone to lose :o

In the past I've lost half a stone by cutting out chocolate, biscuits, cake and crisps etc, so that will be step one, and step two will be doing the excercise DVD at least 3 times a week!

DSM those photos are lovely! I wish I had a room like that at her age too :)

Seven you're braver than me, but better luck next month!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 12/07/2012 12:12

Cherry Your braver than me...I've not weighed myself yet! the thought is Confused

Thanks about DD's room - lucky moo isn't she!
