I am in London (north) anyone else?

I bet your meet up will be great! V jealous, and please do post some photos

Had my sis, sis in law and cousin, all with kids over for lunch. It was so sweet (and hectic!). Joseph just loved watching them all. They are all toddlers, and he looked in awe at them playing with his toys. Thank goodness the sun was out so we could sit in the garden, no idea what we would have fine otherwise (8 people!)

Outnumbered4to1 · 26/06/2012 18:13

em my df lives in north London so next time I visit we should organize something. Probably at least a year off though due to cost of transatlantic travel Sad

Pupd is going well here. Just 2 night wakings (fed him) then just 12 mins to get him down for his nap. So different to how things were when I tried a couple of months ago so I'm glad we waited.

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 26/06/2012 18:54

4to1 so glad it's going well Smile. I'll keep my fingers crossed it keeps up for you

Outnumbered4to1 · 26/06/2012 18:55

Thanks fuzzy!

strawberrypenguin · 26/06/2012 19:26

Just popping in briefly while I have Internet (I seem to be holidaying in a signal black hole!)

Only skimmed and can't remember most of who said what Blush but I would be up for a Basingstoke meet up Grin (I'm in Winchester)

sassy so sorry your ex is being such an ass Sad Isobel's poo antics did make me Smile though sorry! I would not be amused if it happened to me though so I think you can keep her Grin

Sorry about the freak show mix up, I feel slightly responsible as I got mixed up. Fuzzzy isn't a freak and sassy definitely is not either. There, all better Grin

Ok, I admit to being a travelling wuss (even though it's only an hour away Blush)but I will provisionally say yes for Basingstoke.

emma I'm not that far from NLondon, whereabouts are you? Is it car-able?

sassy the poo incident = yuk.
4to1 that's great news about the pupd, I definitely think there's times when they are more ready/receptive for sleep training so it was probably worth waiting. Hope it continues to go well Smile. Sleep is sacred!

sassy34264 · 26/06/2012 20:15

look

fuzzy isnt a freak and sassy DEFINATELY isnt.

does that mean fuzzy is closer to being one than me then?

im STILL sat at the top of the stairs (since 7.30) waiting im patiently for these 2 little buggers to give up trying to climb out there cots.

just noticed that jacob's nappy is on the floor!

he has learned the houdini trick of getting it off without unpopping his buttons on his vest.

and yes, you've guessed it, he'd peed on bed sheets.

god job there's no cola in.

Scheherezade · 26/06/2012 20:24

4to1 really pleased to hear things are improving :)

lookout · 26/06/2012 21:05

sassy you are bad.

Love that Jacob as the nappy houdini!

And you'd be well within your rights to go vodka on ice.

CheshireDing · 26/06/2012 22:07

FX crossed for you for tonight 4to1

ClimbingPenguin · 26/06/2012 22:20

although I did get a bit sarky on a AIBU one Blush

i used to have a army

not sure about travelling actually, our petrol budget will be pretty stretched for the next two months as we have to visit both our parents. probably put me down for another time.

LittlePebble · 26/06/2012 23:47

Devon is lovely this time of year I hear Grin

Strawberry I'm in south hams so if you're venturing this way...although I'm mainly working this week, will be glad when things go back to normal next week.

4to1 fx you get a good night

Sassy hope you got the twins down both with nappies on and hands out of them.

Eli has now gone from sore throat to better with cough to today a runny nose with cough and can't sleep/ breathe etc Sad could really do with some sleep it's been weeks since I got more than 3hrs in one go (sorry CP and others who aren't even getting that)

Outnumbered4to1 · 27/06/2012 06:41

Thanks all, DH helped tonight, it's great feeling like I'm not tied to home in the evening. He did give DH a hard time though!

Pebble hope lo is all better soon, poorly babies are exhausting and so sad when they're suffering.

Outnumbered4to1 · 27/06/2012 06:43

Sassy you've probably tried this bit do you out nappies on backwards? Or put a cloth cover over the top. Your dt sound like they're giving you a bit of a hard time at the moment! Good thing they're so cute Wink

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 27/06/2012 07:17

sassy my friend used to put a pair of pants over nappy when her dd started to pull nappy off.
lp poor E Sad. He's having a hard time of it just now. How are the wedding plans coming along? Not long to go!
4 glad to hear things were better.

Well it's wet and miserable here today. Really need to get out the house so might venture to the library with S later. I finally finished the crochet blanket for her that I started when I was pregnant Grin. Not bad for a first go. Want to add a few extra bits but need to get more wool, so I'll add that to the list for today.

CheshireDing · 27/06/2012 07:29

Is it too early to have already ranted with DH by 6.30am! Grin

Hope E had a better night Pebble poor chap, how's the business going?

Yep that was the thread Penguin Grin

Fuzzzy could you make some of Rebecca's hats with your crocheting?

Fx things keep getting better 4to1

Engelsmeisje · 27/06/2012 08:05

Morning all,

Sorry have been absent for a while. Have been lurking and reading but not posting. Counting down the days til the school holidays start. Am off to England next Friday Smile

sassy sorry to hear about your troubles. I can't imagine how stressful it must be. Your ex sounds like a complete nightmare.

outnumbered Envy at personal trainer. I've been rubbish at exercising ince my friend and I stoped running together. It's so much easier when you're exercising with someone as you can't back out of it.

blanket sounds lovely fuzzzy . My best friend sent M a personalised blanket when he was born (she didn't make it though!). has his name running thrugh it and at the bottom his date and time of birth, weight and length. So sweet!

I feel like M has suddenly decided he needs to sprint - yesterday he started mimicking us when we speak (DH is convinced he said papa Hmm ), and first proper crawling (though he's still commando crawling most of the time) and has started to pull himself up on the sofa, coffee table, chairs (well, everything). Finally got round to lowering Ms cot yesterday, not before time!

Oh, and Cheshire, it's never too early to rant at DH!

BB3 · 27/06/2012 08:30

Morning!

I've missed too much to catch up on but freak shows sound interesting. Grin

Sassy I'm in Salisbury area Wiltshire but close to Hampshire. I work in London and seem to spend various weekends around the uk visiting people.

I will go and catch up soon but a quick me post

Work is hard, I'm missing the kids too much so a friend and I are setting up alone hopefully from October. Ds' op is on Monday, I need to dedicated proper time with him to support his needs but am struggling to juggle everything! I'm a bit of a mess to be honest and feel like I have split personalities - the constant need to be all things to all people (clients, employees, employers, parents, sisters husband, kids, friends), is properly wearing me down and I'm like Jekyll and Hyde. I don't know what to do with myself to snap out of it! Anyway, it will pass. I'm going to get some private speech therapy to support ds along with the NHS stuff and just give everything I have to the kids - the rest of them will have to wait! Anyway, enough about me, how our all our gorgeous babies! Can't believe the girls are 9 months old already!!

MmmIceCream · 27/06/2012 08:36

bb3 hope you are ok - sounds like you have a lot on. Working is hard - I don't mind most days, but find mid-week hard as it feels like I haven't spent enough time with A over the last couple of days and won't see him again for a whole day for 2 more

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 27/06/2012 08:45

cheshire I gave a basic crochet hat a go last night. Def something I want to try now!! Love the little bear hats with the ears Grin. Might try when S goes down for her nap
engel sounds like M is keeping you on your toes! S is the same. She was in the tv unit last week trying to get to the wires! I'd put her in her cot the other day while I went for a shower and came out to her standing up shaking the bars and shouting Hmm
And with the words, S spent yesterday shouting 'dada' Confused. Also says 'baba'. Working very hard on 'mama' with her. She will say it... Grin

Scheherezade · 27/06/2012 11:20

C not well :( refused his breakfast, so ive made a bottle and he's fallen asleep! Should I wake him to give it, as his last bottle was at 6am.

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 27/06/2012 11:34

I wouldn't wake him, just let him sleep if he isn't well. Just offer as soon as he wakes. Poor baby Sad

LittlePebble · 27/06/2012 11:35

Scheh no leave him to sleep, he may be off his food if he's ill, Eli has been. Hope he's ok Sad

emmazed · 27/06/2012 11:54

Aw, poor c sch. I agree leave home to sleep

lookout I am in finchley if you know it? But can meet somewhere else nearby.

bb3 I am sorry it is so hard at the moment. It it difficult to just be, and I can only imagine how hard it is with 3 little ones. I imagine the stress of the upcoming op doesn't help. Once that is over hopefully things will settle down and you can focus on his speech therapy

Scheherezade · 27/06/2012 13:18

He woke up anyway so he had 5oz. Don't know whether to bother trying lunch (he just wants to cuddle up asleep on me), or give him some fruit and another bottle at 3. He's never been poorly before :( cried all through last night, really upset and boiling hot today. Staying at MILs so don't have a thermometer.
