How's luke now?

I want to watch skyfall Envy funnily enough dp not as keen as me. it's more his type of film than mine, but daniel craig acting all moody and cool as suckered me in.

newmum001 · 30/10/2012 22:29

Sassy you're as bad as me, can't beat a good perv on a beautiful man. Although daniel craig doesn't do it for me at all!

I start work on saturday, eeek! Very excited but nervous as hell. Need a bit if advice from anyone who gets tax credits though. I know you're supposed to inform them as soon as theres a change in circumstances but right now i haven't got a clue how many hours i'll be working (will be under 16 i imagine) is it ok to start on saturday and ring tax credits next week when i've got more info?

Is everyone dressing the kids up for halloween? Grace is a being a witch and im having a party for her, just friends and family but i can't wait.

Also ive only got 5lbs to lose till im back to pre baby weight. So i shall be pigging out on the buffet tomorrow!!!

sassy34264 · 31/10/2012 09:22

I totally object that i am as bad as you! Grin one direction????? Hmm

Although i am 11 years older than you, so maybe it's ok for you to like them, but they could be my sons! Grin

I'm not really prone to phoaring over many slebs. I prefer the greek/brazillian/italian male model types

sassy34264 · 31/10/2012 09:24

Well done on the weight loss by the way. Don't pig out too much, or else you';ll undone all your hard work. you look great on your fb pics by the way.

Good look on saturday.

newmum001 · 31/10/2012 13:06

Sassy are you telling me you can't appreciate harry styles and his beautiful beautiful hair? Not to mention his smile and the fact that he seems to be quite the dirty bastard Wink

I think i'll ring tax credits next week then. I assume its minimum wage so i won't be earning a lot anyway.

Just been to my friends dads funeral. It was honestly one of the saddest funerals i've ever been to. I hadn't seen my friend in well over a year and not seen his parents or sister for a few years so it was all really sad. But at the same time kind of nice to see them all even though the cicumstances were so awful.

sassy34264 · 31/10/2012 13:36

No, newmum cant appreciate it at all- to me he's a boy, and it's a bit yuk for me!

Sorry about your friend. I went to my friends dad's funeral when we were 17 and i remember that being awful.

cinnamongreyhound · 31/10/2012 13:54

Luke is better, we had a bad night last night but he doesn't have a high temp anymore so not sure why it was so bad!! He's still really croaky but much more his normal little self. Just hoping ds1 stays well so he can have his operation as planned on Tuesday.

I am not really a Daniel Craig fan but I can appreciate why women! Dh is really funny everytime there is a bare chest in a film he covers my eyes! I am really not a massive man watcher myself and I honestly couldn't tell you what any of one direction look like. My mum loves blue and she really makes me laugh every time Simon comes on the TV Grin

I haven't been to a funeral since my uncle's 4 years ago and that was very sad as he was only 58 :(. Glad you can see the positives and be glad you've seen them though.

Well I am massively stressing about Tuesday, I already feel like I could cry at any point. Dh will be at home with Luke so I will have to be brave on my own. It's only a 20 minute operation but it's just the idea of him being put to sleep and taken away for that time! Thankfully he should be home the same day and then I have to keep a lot of paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain relief for him.

newmum001 · 31/10/2012 15:47

Sassy you've got an older daughter so i'll let you off about the one direction thing :) i can perv enough for the both of us!

Cinnamon, glad luke is better and hope everything goes well for james on tuesday. Im sure it'll be fine and by wednesday you'll just be relieved that its been done!

sassy34264 · 01/11/2012 13:09

i was actually going to say that newmum cos chloe lurves them! she has i love Niall, Zane, harry, liam wrist bands. One direction posters, pens, pencils, notepads, and pencil case and even 2 pairs of their pj's.

but it's probably got more to do with the fact that i teach taught that age range-god they are boring and immature!

sassy34264 · 01/11/2012 13:10

cinnamon good luck for ds1 on tues. i'd be stressing out too. big hugs

newmum001 · 01/11/2012 14:14

I can't wait for grace to be that age and have band obsessions. My friend bought me a one direction diary as a joke present on my birthday and dp bought me a harry doll last xmas, i was thrilled haha!

lumpypumpkinpie · 01/11/2012 17:27

Evening all! I don't do James bond or 1d. I do however do Robbie Williams! In fact I'll share a little secret with you all seeing as tho you're my invisible friends. I am actually married to him. He's the father of my children!

Cinnamon, I'd be feeling the same. It's scary stuff but you know he'll be fine,
Newmum good luck for Saturday. You're fine to wait to tell tax credits, its taken me months before!

So I totally lost it with the boys this morning. Olly just will not eat his breakfast. I know I should just accept it and not push him but I can't. He ended up on the naughty stool this morning then I popped tobys balloon in a temper which set him off. I was horrible. And evil and nasty and totally out of order. I think I need some anger management sessions! My poor babies!

newmum001 · 01/11/2012 20:35

Lumpy you're only human. You had a bad day and tomorrow will be better. Thats what i always think when i have a day like that (about once a week) it happens!!!

I'll fight you for robbie btw!

cinnamongreyhound · 03/11/2012 16:12

I have moments like that too lumpypumpkinpie and then feel very guilty. Ds1 especially has the ability to wind me up, always amazes me though that I never lose it with my minded children. I ALWAYS feel guilty and if I feel I have been out of order then I do apologise to them. I say that their behaviour was not ok but that mummy shouldn't have shouted etc like that but she is very tired/not feeling well/whatever else has caused it and so gets cross very easily.

How did it go today newmum001?

cinnamongreyhound · 04/11/2012 20:29

How is Bruno now comixminx?

How's your bump coming along dixiebell?

We're all good, went to fireworks display tonight and Luke spent the first part saying stop now, stop now over and over again :(. He was sitting on my shoulders so dh took him down and cuddles him and he was less stressed but he still jumped at very bang. He was saying awesome to the not so loud ones though. As we walked back to the car a lantern went over and he jumped saying it fright me! Think I've traumatised him!!

Dixiebell · 05/11/2012 10:11

Bump's good cinnamon, thanks. 37 weeks tomorrow! Finished work last week and soooo ready. Arlo will be at CM tomorrow Wed and Thurs and can't wait for some time to myself. Have spent whole morning watching Peppa Pig so far, I don't have the energy for much else. Also list it with Arlo this am too lumpy, he just makes such a fuss over brushing his teeth and I really ran out of patience, shouted and hit the floor with my hand! Feel v guilty afterwards, esp as Arlo starts saying 'want my daddy'! But it's so hard not to get annoyed sometimes when the simplest action takes so much persuasion! I know it'll be hard with a newborn around but I am looking forward to being a bit more physically capable, it's just hard work handling a toddler with a wriggling basketball bump in my way!

Beaditsback · 05/11/2012 19:26

Hello Grin
Nice to have a bit of time for a catch up... Finally.
Congrats on the job newmum and such a sociable one at that. Sounds just the thing you needed. Discount is amazing too you lucky, lucky lady. I already want to bagsy a black waterfall leather jacket if you're ever able to take total advantage of it! Wink and [pleeeeeeeeeeeeease]

cinnamon thinking of you for tomorrow and James of course. Am sure everything will go well and 20minutes will fly by. Sending good recovery vibes xx

Lumpy don't stress yourself too much about losing it with the boys. Like others have said "you are only human" we all do it at some point and in our way. Everyone's got to vent and chances are they've already completely forgotten about it.
Will check dates for the Harley Gallery Christmas thingy and Facebook you info.
Hoping we can still make it and catch up with you there.

We went to The Deep today with friends, including a very pregnant mum of a two year old. Dixie I honestly don't know how you do it. My friend is so big and her baby has already engaged. Pretty sure she'll have him early. Was terrified she'd go into labour on her way home. She had to fly around that place like crazy to keep up with her dd. I bet they're both already tucked up.

No heating or hot water here..... Prob need a new boiler Sad not good when there's Christmas shopping to be done.

Finally got Jack new shoes today and got the I approving look from the Clarks lady..... He's gone up a whole size to a 7.5 but strangely down a width fitting to an E Confused

Got work to do...... Boo! But happy bonfire night everyone Smile

Beaditsback · 05/11/2012 19:28

Unapproving even

Beaditsback · 05/11/2012 20:57

Unapproving? Disapproving? English language moment here. Tis the latter I'm sure but am also sure I've always used the first. Ha!

cinnamongreyhound · 05/11/2012 21:46

Luke is a 7.5 but an f. We'd really like to go to the Deep but the weather up north puts us off holidaying there and it's a bit far for a day trip!

Beaditsback · 05/11/2012 22:45

cinnamon I don't think temperature wise it gets any colder up here until you hit Skipton. Then you need full body protection from the chill Smile
Isn't there a similar place south of Birmingham??

Dixiebell · 06/11/2012 07:32

cinnamon, thinking of you and James today.

My first day of mat leave sans Arlo, v much looking forward to a nap later! Might actually get round to packing my hospital bag too...

cinnamongreyhound · 06/11/2012 17:08

After 1hr 10 mins my little man was awake and without adenoids! He was very groggy and had a sore throat but after an hour he was eating and drinking and much more himself. We're here until 7.30 for observations but all ok at the moment.

Dixiebell · 06/11/2012 21:40

Ah, glad it all went well, cinnamon.
