Thought this title was appropriate given that (hopefully) things will be looking up for everyone!

OP posts:

Looks like I'm going to be a Slimming World consultant! - have been offered the role - just need to talk about the costs of the franchise!

So much to spend my money on - so little money!

Ps I sold my friends engagement ring on ebay - (do you remember I said they had broken up - I didn't steal it!) it sold and the buyer paid by cheque - and my bank account eat it!

Simplyred · 21/02/2006 21:47

Milward - all the best for dd1's swift recovery xxxxx

PiccadillyCircus · 21/02/2006 21:49

Hello everyone.

Feeling a bit down as DH is out seeing Les Mis with his mum, dad and sister (it's her birthday today). He was going to be having an early dinner with them but decided at the last minute to go and see Les Mis with them as well.

I need to tidy. But can't be bothered.

And I did badly on the quiz .

mummyhill · 21/02/2006 22:13

hugs - picadilly

wabbitintheheadlamps · 21/02/2006 23:33

Well done your brave dd1 Milward! - Hope she feels right as rain very very soon xxx (good luck for the long solo trip to the hospital tomorrow)

Piccadilly - Utterly unfair! bogging off and leaving you at home Come on.. tell us more about Barcelona! I've not missed a post have I???

SR - Very well done on the weight loss and on being offered the franchise! (I've got a bank account that 'eats' cheques too

DP - who I will probably be calling XP soon is coming up tomorrow - the first time I will have seen him since this kicked off... He's good at engineering things so he gets his own way and has given himself leave to take Conrad up to Leicester to see his Father... I expressed doubts about how comfortable I was with this - and it looked as though the plans would be scuppered anyway as (apparently) a court case is starting tomorrow... but just tonight it seems he's able to do the whole Leicester thing but may well have to cut it short - and he's called within the last hour to remind me to have enough ebm for him... Sounds to me like someone planning a longer visit than he's giving me to believe

My God - after all that's gone on, the least he can do is LISTEN to me - Little does he know he's getting very close to pressing my button (as it were) Perhaps he will see me angry!!!!

As it is I'm going to give a very definite time at which I expect him back... I feel as though i shouldn't have to feel like this though

Sorry I know it's another Wabbitty Rant - but you guys are helping to keep me as serene as I can be THANKS xxxx

beatie · 22/02/2006 07:55

Wabbit ~ Perhaps it would be good for (not so)DP to see you angry. Controlled anger of course!. I'm sorry that you will be without Conrad forawhile. How long is the trip? Just for the day?

SimplyRed ~ Many congratulations on your weight loss and being offered the chance to run a Slimming World Programme.

PC ~ I too would love to hear more about your Barcelona trip. How was Alice on the plane? Sorry you were home alone whilst DH went out with his family.

Milward ~ I'm pleased DD's surgery went well.

Not much going on here. Another day of drudgery. DD1 had some vile tantrums yesterday so I am hoping we don't get a repeat performance of those.

We've just had a hire car as our car has been in the garage since Friday, having a new wing fitted. A lorry hit the side of the car in December. Our car was supposed to be ready yesterday so I took the hire car back. An hour after I got back, DH rang to say he wouldn't be bringing the car home, it would be ready today. The whole reason for needing the hire car was to get dd1 to Pre-school yesterday. So today she won't be able to go. I had planned a trip into town with just Alice. Oh well!

I joined the gym. We have a small leisure centre in our village. It's close proximity is a good incentive for frequent usage. Unfortunately it doesn't have a creche, but some evenings DH is home by 4pm. The chance to hand the children over to him at the end of the day is a great motivator for going out and doing exercise

I hate the gym really, but I'm prepared to give it 6 months and see if I can shift some of the flab accumulated through two pregnancies.

Based on your drawing and the 10 answers you gave this is a summary of your personality:
You are sensitive and indecisive at times. You are a freedom lover and a strong person. You are shy and reserved. If you've drawn a cross on each of windows, you always want to live alone. Once you have a problem, you need a friend with you. Your life is always full of changes.
This was my analysis from the house thread. How acurate is it???? What do you think wabbit? Was yours as interesting? Loved your house btw.

You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You have a strong personality and you like to command, influence and control people.

You are not a romantic person by nature. It also safe to say that others don't see you as a flirt. You don't think much about yourself.

mummyhill · 22/02/2006 08:49

oops hope that made sense!!!

beatie · 22/02/2006 12:55

I posted some more photos - changed my name though.

Here's Alice at 5 months

And here's O and Alice

PiccadillyCircus · 22/02/2006 12:56

Sorry about last night's post - was feeling a bit left out I suppose. And then felt bad as being at home with two children in bed/cot asleep isn't too bad really .

Barcelona report will be coming soon.....Alice and I are having lunch first .

PiccadillyCircus · 22/02/2006 13:22

OK - long post coming up......

....but Alice has just created a very loud expolsive sound (with smell effects) so you will have to wait just a little longer

wabbitintheheadlamps · 22/02/2006 13:38

Ha ha ha... made me giggle PC, Yes you'd better deal with that first

PiccadillyCircus · 22/02/2006 13:51

grr - just typed louds and the computer has lost it .

PiccadillyCircus · 22/02/2006 13:52

or even loads

wabbitintheheadlamps · 22/02/2006 13:52

Beatie - I'm hopeless! 'D'P arrived this morning with his brother (visiting from Australia)... We caught eachothers eye and I very, very nearly started to giggle... suppressed, but only just, He noticed though, HOW inappropriate is THAT???

He suggested a home-time of 2.30 which I'm fine with - in fact the build up to today's visit has been far more agonising than the reality This morning it just seemed natural that Conrad would accompany his Daddy to Leicester. 'D'P rang at 12 to say everything was fine - putting what worries still lingered to rest... I really am Hopeless and need a good boxing for not being able to control my 'fizzyness'!

PiccadillyCircus · 22/02/2006 13:53

You are not hopeless. At all

wabbitintheheadlamps · 22/02/2006 13:54

so it's just 'out there' in the ether now I guess PC

wabbitintheheadlamps · 22/02/2006 13:55

Well thankyou for saying so PC, but I'm not convinced!

PiccadillyCircus · 22/02/2006 13:56

Small person now demanding more attention, so will be back in a biut (and will tyoe epic into Word first i think)

Sorry fpr inaccrate typing - blane Alice

wabbitintheheadlamps · 22/02/2006 14:01

or are you cod in disguise????

Simplyred · 22/02/2006 14:50

Hello!

Alice & dd1 so cute Beatie.

Glad all ok Wabbitt - ha ha to the giggling - I'm the worlds worst for inappropriate giggling!DONT mention the fish faced one - she will appear here - Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, STOP!

Are you having fun PC - with your pc!!

Better go and wash up

mummyhill · 22/02/2006 16:38

This is a fish free zone thank you very much, please do not tempt the fishy one onto our nice fluffy post natal thread. Some of our members have enough on their plate without that person making an appearance and flamming us all.

Right onto more important things.

Wabbit - hope dp kept to his word and dropped C back at a reasonable time otherwise give me his address and i will send the boys round!!!!!!!!

Piccadilly hope your pc stops playing silly bees.

THE QUIZ. Topics requested so far are 24 (the tv programme) buffy, angel, home and away, neighbours, prisoner cell block H, desperate housewives, stephen king. Any other suggestions? I will change it at the weekend this week to either one of these or one that you suggest.

pooka · 22/02/2006 17:01

How about British TV, films in general? Harry potter? Hmmm - how about film and tv and English lit (my degree course - not that I'm at all scared of questions on angel (honestly!!!!!!!!)

Simplyred · 22/02/2006 17:13

mummyhill- yes uk tv and films and music - all types. I like history too - especially the middle ages (but I'm probably alone on that!)

RedZuleika · 22/02/2006 19:27

I like the Middle Ages too! And the Renaissance, Reformation period. I'm great for dinner parties...

Where is this quiz anyway??

Mummyhill: it never occurred to me to not feed A the pink milk - not least because she was already mid-feed when I saw it. She seems to be ok, though. And my nipple is gradually getting there. (The health of which I can honestly say I never used to worry about...)

Milward: glad the op went well.

I think we should pretend this thread is rife with fin rot... and we're all in quarantine.
