We've got so good at brooking no argument for no pregnancy complications and sneeze births, we're going for our Phds in big fat babies

In facial? Errr that would be infacol. I'm not giving him facials...... Blush

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 11:53

Ditto for infallible. Evidently my iPad hasn't learned about infacol yet.......

jaggythistle · 07/05/2012 12:10

we've even trained the boys to sometimes poo at the same time and wake up in the morning both hungry for maximum confusion...

we were pondering starting toilet training in the next few weeks with DS1 but seeing as we've booked a holiday for 2 months time and DS doesn't even tell us he's done a poo any more, we might have to put it off again. if you do sit him on the toilet he has no idea what to do so far...

i think I'd rather be on holiday with 2 in nappies at this stage. DS2 will only be almost 3 months and we won't really have facilities for washing 'accidents'.

still leaves us a few months of maternity leave to have a go with both of us at home...

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 12:29

Oooooh, get Jaggy with her synchronised routine GrinWink

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 07/05/2012 12:38

Loving Jaggy's routine Grin

pommedechocolat · 07/05/2012 12:53

Urgh. Having the worst day. Can you get baby blues in week 10?? Want to run away somewhere sunny and drink cocktails and sunbathe and then shop. ALONE. No kids no dh. URGH.

Sorry for me, me, me but can't say it to anyone here for obvious reasons.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 13:09

Oh lots of hugs pomme

DreamingOfPeace · 07/05/2012 13:19

Eeee, you found some interweb in the grim North then hawthers? Pop in and you can have the dreamy twins for free. My sleep confession- I cannot get them to sleep in a cot if any description. We have a memory foam mattress. They are not sleeping on that with me, or usually propped up on a pillow. Or I put them on their sides with nothing to stop them getting on their tummy . They also like chest frog sleeping. Desperate to get them in their cot.... But last night we finally got both down around 2 am, for 1 hour, then both up for 2 hours, then they napped in 40-45 min stretches on my bed as i couldn't face hours more of trying unsuccessfully to put them down. I'm feeling broken today. Tearfully tired from the off.

DD was a puker. These two are too. Not after every feed but after most. Both are very unhappy after feeding, Ben more so. They projectile vomit a lot, Seb has a personal best of hitting the kitchen wall from where I was sat, so a good 3/4 metre. My least favourite was last night when he de latched, turned his head and vomited vertically into my face with some force. They're gaining weight and I'm.only medicating so much as its hard to deal with two. Seb did the face/ chest vom straight after Ben had soaked us to the skin. Two full changes in 10 min. Both reflux out of their nose too but usually unhappily. I can see them gulping and gulping trying not to be sick with the reflux then sometimes it comes out their noses.

Me me me me me

Happy birthday purple DD!!

DreamingOfPeace · 07/05/2012 13:51

Oh, and hawthers, I'm with you with too depressing to post every time I'm up. Just assume I'm up brookers, I normally am :) :(

DreamingOfPeace · 07/05/2012 13:56

Can I come with you pomme?! Sounds blissful. Sorry your day is so shit though.

pommedechocolat · 07/05/2012 14:44

Ok slightly calmer here now. Abbie stopped her four hour scream fest, gave into the feeding and is now sleeping with her face shoved into my right boob. Dd1 watching bee movie on tv and dh having his second nap of the day which surprisingly is less annoying than him being awake currently.
He's started mentioning formula now.

I am having more screaming and vomiting from a the nearer we get to 12 weeks - how?!

dream - the full in the face vom. The memories - dd1 was particularly talented at that one... Keep trucking with the twins, you'll get there.

X post, Pomme, due to v slow one-handed typing around feeding baby.

If DH mentioned formula to me I would be infuriated. You've done so well with the bf! Anyway, A might well be even screamier and sicker on formula as it's more indigestible. As you said yourself, it's not a magic solution. How do you feel yourself?

I need to do some expressing - am planning to go out for a meal with DH and work friends on Thurs night and leave M with my sister Confused. I want to arm DSis with more milk than she could possibly need just in case M screams and screams. How long can I keep breastmilk in the fridge? Does it have to be warmed before DSis gives it to M? I hope M will cope with being away from me for 3 or 4 hours...

jaggythistle · 07/05/2012 15:42

i think up to 5 days in the fridge in theory, we usually used it up within 2 or 3 days. good info about this on Kellymom as always! DS1 liked his quite warm i believe, i can't remember that well as he was mostly fed it while i was at work! we just did the sticking it in a jug of hot water thing.

will maybe have a go at expressing again when DS2 is about 4 weeks, need to practice for back to work.

just had a nice visit from some work friends. :) DS2 slept through most of it while DS1 rampaged round the living room. DS2 still managed to fit in a feed, a puke and a poo nappy before they left.

pommedechocolat · 07/05/2012 15:50

Happy birthday purple's dd!

We're trying potty training next weekend jaggy - I'm terrified!

too - I think bm can be in the fridge for a few days and can be warmed or offered cold. I think dh is being very silly talking bout formula after one dodgy pm! Lovely news on the smiles Smile a's are really goofy and I love them!

I am however not talking to you after your sleep boast Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 15:53

11-5:45 Too

Shock Envy

Gah!

I reckon if he could smile yet he'd be laughing at that idea!

Hmm, no smiles here yet. I am completely paranoid this is because I'm a bad mummy Sad. At what age do you think I could sell his story to a tabloid?

'X years old and never smiled'

2? 5? 35?

We may well get to find out at this rate. I want a smile dammit!

Glad your weekend went well though Too - sounds great. And a night out to come this week too? - marvellous effort.

jaggythistle · 07/05/2012 15:59

i will be brooking lots for you pomme I'm terrified too! DH seems v keen at the moment, not sure he's really thought about it though. or mentalled and read a book like me he's getting frustrated about DS not telling us he's pooed in his nappy, not convinced he'd be chilled out about puddles on the floor! i guess the bigger he gets the more i think we should be trying it, he's 2.7 now though so not ridiculously old.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 16:02

Will be brooking for you both with the potty training Jaggy and Pomme.

I'd be tempted to leave it until after your hols too Jag x

DreamingOfPeace · 07/05/2012 17:14

jaggy my friend left her ds til 3.2 to start, said there'd be no point earlier, he'd just refuse though he was perfectly capable of going 3 hours with a dry nappy etc. I keep wondering about it as DD refuses point blank to lie down for nappies. She just won't. Fine for a wet one but not at all fine for a sloppy poo one...

biscuits, he was early!! We are letting him smile in his own time. He is a very lucky, much loved baby and you will be Blush when he's grinning manically very soon! like me making the colief harder than necessary . And if not, get him a good deal ;-) (joking of course!!) Love.him winding your mum up, impeccable timing baby E!

pomme, dh was muttering loudly about f*ing twins last night and wishing they were 3. If looks could kill I'd be collecting my life insurance pay out now! I think they do these things specifically to annoy us, surely?! He's mentioned formula too. Surely he must know it wouldn't fix all ills from DD1, though I've also found dh has limited memory of DD as a baby blocked out the horror . He also asks all friends with children when they started sleeping through...

Err, on phone forgotten rest. Oh- M's sleep, much Envy too

Big hugs to Pomme and Dream - you're both doing such a great job, try to ignore the annoying DHs!!

pommedechocolat · 07/05/2012 18:31

Does anyone know what might make a ten week old suddenly fight the breast all day? Just had another half an hour of screaming rooting and then getting hysterical at the boob... Very unlike her and she really hasn't fed much. She hasn't slept much either though.

Dh thinks something in my milk now.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 18:44

Can't think of anything obvious Pomme but is it worth trying the NCT bf helpline? They might be able to give you some advice if the line is open today? Might be something you could try now though?

cakes82 · 07/05/2012 18:44

Not that I really know anything cause I don't have kids yet but I've heard of training nappy pants would that help with mishaps with potty training?

I'm so glad I have all you experienced ladies to look to for when my baby arrives especially where bf is involved :) My mum would have the formula on standby before baby is even born and she bfed me and had a really good teacher person.
