Hi everyone!

What do your los weigh atm? I'm in a bit of a flurry about ds's weight atm (over 2 stone and I really don't want to know by how much!) but he couldn't really eat less....

He's still in most 12 - 18 month trousers, but his 18 - 24 month tops are starting to get a little tight...

Ha Ha... I was just saying to dp last night that ds's 2 - 3 year tops are getting a bit tight around his tummy!!! Not that he needs the next size up, but he certainly fills his clothes!

Hello again Ladies!

Long time no chat.

Brings back memories of midnight mumsnetting this time 20 months ago.

Aren't they grown up?

dd is 12.7kg but petite and tall.

I haven't weighed ds since Xmas when he was 2 stone. He can't fit any of his 18-24mo clothes now - although 2-3 yo trousers still need turning up and I like his tops to be baggy and roomy. I have found that Matalan tops need to be 3-4 yo - the 2-3's are tiny.

I don't know what dd weighs at the mo - her clothes vary, some are 18-24 months, some I've introduced recently are 2-3 years.

Hello Kif - your little one is a March '04 baby, is that right?

dolbear - I wasn't broody for ages after ds. dd ended up being born the day before ds started school! Glad the job's going ok.

Chuffed - how is the house now? Hope things settle down for you soon.

hi all, nice to hear from you chuffed

dd3 might weigh something under 2stone, maybe 25lb, she's moving from 18-24 clothes to 2-3 yr ones.

HD dd1 is starting woodcraft folk in 2 weeks in Exeter and i find myself embarrassingly keen - was a rather keen brownie and guide and I am looking forward to getting involved. perhaps it's just a phase I'll grow out of soon.

Hi - I've asked this on another thread - but. are your lo's saying s or th for an s? ds is putting his tongue between his teeth for an s and not behind them. Is this just a thing he has to learn to do?

Report
Dottydot · 10/03/2006 21:49

ds kind of says 's', but with a bit of a lisp - not quite a 'th' but not a proper 's' either (trying to think of how I'd spell it and I can't..!!).

Just wanted to say good luck Fennel with the house move!!!! Hope you're on line within minutes of moving - let us know how you're doing!

hewlettsdaughter · 14/03/2006 19:44

Yes good luck fennel (how soon before you go?)

tracyk - I can't think what dd says for 's'. It's not an easy one though is it (like 'r').

Hi everyone. Sorry haven't posted for ages - morning sickness is all day sickness and not good!! Ds is about 2 stone now I think. We bought him the Whizz Around Garage for his birthday - not long til his 2 - 2 weeks tomorrow Shock How time has flown by!!

Report
Chuffed · 18/03/2006 08:31

Hope your morning sickness clears up soon - it really is miserable isn't it.
dd has a week and a half, have to go and get a little kitchen for her they are 1/2 price hopefully they still have some in stock.

dd is totally hating having her nappies on at the mo but won't go on the potty lately so hopefully things will move along in that direction soon.

I went shopping for birthday presents yesterday. Got DD2 a doll, a 3 wheeled doll's buggy, an outfit for the doll. Pretty good value too. Can you tell she likes dolls? Grin
My parents have got her a Dora trike. MIL is giving her the buggy, DD1 the outfit. Not sure what everyone else is getting her. Need to prime SIL as she doesn't buy the most sensible presents. Am praying she doesn't get DD2 a Bratz baby doll to match the one she gave DD1 for Christmas, I hate it!

I think we're going to get ds2 teeny tiny things for his birthday - no room for anything else!!! He's quite into animals, standing them up and stuff, so we're going to get him a jar of animals and maybe a couple of cars??! We're working on the assumption that this is the last year he won't really know what's going on so we can still get away with keeping it minimal!!

have NO idea what to get ds for his b-day and its on the 19th ! we are going o have a party and have not started that either !
reckon he is just over 2st not that he seems to eat enough for it !
uk - morning sickness - you have my thoughts for that ! not good
good luck to the movers , have decidd never again ! and hope to eave this house feet 1st !
re 's' ds also pronounces witha lisp , but we think its because he likes to ! also says words like snow and scarf backwards , seems this is also common ?? who knows

We only got ds little cars for his birthday, have asked the parents etc to give us money once we move house and we can club together for some bigger garden toys. He has a storage chest full of animals and a storage chest full of cars/lorries etc.

we're not going overboard this year either!! We're not bothering with a party. Might go to Pizza Hut or similar just the 3 of us. We invited loads of people last year and I didn't get to cuddle him all day which I was a bit cross about so I'm avoiding all that this year!!

hi all

we moved to Exeter 4 days ago and are still in chaos. but at least now it's just me and dd3 at home for 2 weeks to sort our lives out before we start work and nursery.

as usual I can't think of anything dd3 needs for her birthday. we meanly gave away loads of the big toddler toys before moving here, we got tired of them even though she still liked them. really she plays with her sisters toys all the time anyway. but we do have 100s of big cardboard boxes for her to play in.

dd3 has started saying whole sentences, suddenly. nursery wrote us a report, their example sentence was "mummy daddy work". - how to make working parents feel bad Shock

Report
LucyJones · 20/03/2006 11:09

ah that's so cute Fennel Smile At least she knows where you are when she's at nursery. Ds' current faves are 'oh dear' - I think that's my fault as I say it everytime he falls over or drops something!!, and 'all gone'.

i did think I heard dd3 saying f...... h... in hte back of the car today but I really hope i was imagining it. have been assuming til now she's not really listening to us talk Blush that's the peril of having a quiet (til now) toddler.

LJ - my sympathies with morning sickness. Just starting to get over mine, it's ending with threats of hospital and anti nausea tablets. I'll be 19 weeks saturday and it's dragged

Ds has an electric guitar and toy dyson (both elc I think :) ) and so far the tweenies songtime dvd. I couldn't believe it he's still obsessed two years on and the dvd is FOUR HOURS OF TWEENIES SINGING Argh

He's getting a bed from PILs, boogie beebies dvd from one set of godparents.. that's all I really know about. Nothing too major. We've been asking for dvds as we only have about 4!

Ds says mostly little phrases 'allgone, bikkit please' etc but does come out with sentences 'no daddy cuggle me now!' amongst others! He's got the hang of his name starting with A Y too but forgets the rest.

We also wake up to singing in the morning... usually twinkle twinkle which he knows most of (more sounds of the words than the words themselves iykwim) or wheels on the bus...

Report
tracyk · 20/03/2006 11:44

funny how they know the word for biscuit! ds says 'mow bikkit mummy eese'. and looks so cute that he usually always gets mow!
Unfortunately he cannot say fox - he says f*ck - v.loudly!
