Yey go violet!!! She'll be running round before you know it Liz!!
When did lulu crawl/walk?
Euan quite regularly drags one of his legs, and crawls on the other. He seems to prefer crawling with his feet than his knees too ifyswim?

His sleep is back to normal thank god. He has his 30 mins in the morning, but only giving him 1 hour at lunch and he's doing 7-7, but I didn't get him til 7.30 as he was just playing in his cot.

Well, its baking again here, was overcast earlier so I cleaned the house, Rob all set to mow the lawn as it was cool, and the suns out, so he's dripping!!
Still bloody patchy, have to get some more seed tomorrow.
Bbq again later :)

lulu crawled when she was 9 months and took her first steps when she was about 15 months, but i do remember she was alot more steady on her feet than violet is. i used to be able to stand her next to my leg and she would hold on while i closed the car boot or something and not fall over, but i cant do that with violet yet.

yes warm here too, my grass needs cutting if rob's offering Grin

lizandlulu · 24/05/2012 16:58

Oh my god it's too fecking hot, I don't care if I'm moaning, I don't like it, I would put a sad face but it's quicker to write this, than find the right buttons on this ipad

KLou111 · 24/05/2012 18:15

Ha ha, it is so fecking hot!!! Been swimming with Euey today so was nice to cool off. I must admit though, I could do with Euey not crawling as we can't just sit down!

And he got down the kitchen step today. God knows how, we were there but totally missed it as I was giving Bella a hair cut and Rob had his back to him. We didn't click what he'd done at first, then realised he was in the conservatory not the kitchen!

Having another bbq, have made some burgers, have made Euey a little one for tomorrow and put a ton of chilli in ours so not looking forward to tomorrow morning lol!!

Think I'll be putting Euan to bed in just his nappy tonight, it was 23 degrees in his room last night, and it feels warmer today. He slept til 7.30 this morning without a peep so it didn't seem to bother him :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 24/05/2012 20:31

Toooo hot!!! Joshua is in bed and the monitor says its 27 degrees in his bedroom!! Shock!
he was up at 12:20 and 4:30 last night, kept getting his legs stuck in the bars because he had no sleeping bag on.

Mmm I just fancy a BBQ klou! We had a jacket potato - not quite the same haha.

I know what you mean liz. If we could have the sun without it being roasting all would be well.

My sunburn that I got on Tuesday is still killing me, bright red still.

lizandlulu · 24/05/2012 21:27

Last night and the night before, violet went to bed in her usual vest, sleep suit and sleeping bag!! Cause ours is a bungalow, I open all the windows and we get a kind of through breeze which has kept it quite cool, plus I kept her blinds closed all day but window open. But tonight, it's just hot air blowing through, so she's in a short sleeve and short leg suit and a sheet over her. She's not settled very well and keeps waking.

KLou111 · 25/05/2012 08:31

Euan didn't settle very well either. His room was at 26 degrees, the alarm on it went off as it was too warm, and I couldn't open his window cos sodding tractors kept going up and down the road literally every 5 minutes!!! I put him in a shorty vest thing, and sleeping bag, too hot. Then took it all off and gave him just a shawl with nappy, then all ok til we went to bed around 11.30 and woke. I put his sleeping bag back on with just his nappy and he slept til 7.15 so not sure if he just didn't feel cosy enough?
Another hot one today too.

OP posts:
KLou111 · 25/05/2012 08:32

His heater changes into a fan, so may put that on for him tonight.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 25/05/2012 17:09

Well violet woke at 2 so gve her bottle and had to it her in her seeping bag cause her arms and legs were cold.

Tonight I am going to try just vest and sleeping bag.

KLou111 · 25/05/2012 20:25

Well, feels cooler tonight as had every window open all day, but Euans room still 26!!! Wtf??
Anyway, in his short vest thing and sleeping bag, so far so good.......

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 25/05/2012 21:30

Yes it is defiantly cooler here too, a lot more of a breeze. I am looking forward to a good night sleep cause I didn't get much last night. You know when someone's tickly cough keeps you awake?well it was me keeping me awake! Came out of nowhere, but just couldn't stop coughing! Really peed me off

What you all doing this weekend? Lulu has decided she is brave enough to try ballet. A class friend goes and she's going to try it too, 10.30 to 11 so it's not long. Then Sunday, going with another of her friends to bransby home of rest for horses. It's a free day out! I like these free days out!

KLou111 · 26/05/2012 09:42

Well had a fab night here, Euan didn't wake til 7.50 :o so back to his 'usual' time.
He seemed to sleep a lit better, and I took the blackouts off his Windows too, so was concerned about that. I have to unstick them when I open the windows as they're on the glass and would blow away, so I didn't bother putting them back. Still got blackouts on the curtains but there's a gap at the top so the light comes in anyway.

Ballet sounds fun Liz, I bet lulu will enjoy that. I used to love it, then when my new ballet shoes turned up they were too small and I had a fit!! I went mad, and my mum wouldn't let me go back. Even got sent a letter from the teacher asking me to go back but that was that. Gutted, I bet I'd be so much slimmer lol!!!

Going to the Olympic torch thing tomorrow, it's coming through town at 11.50, so glad we don't live in swansea, its 6.50 there!!! Then may go to the beach :)

OP posts:
KLou111 · 27/05/2012 09:47

Well, after the great night the night before, last night was slightly different. Euan kept moaning, crying, babbling from 7.30, it was 28 in his room with the windows open fully!!
Eventually, at 8.30, we know we shouldn't, but we brought him downstairs. It was so much cooler, and Euan was so much happier. At 9, took him back up, had a couple of cries til 9.30, then off. Woke briefly at 1.30 as he'd turned, then at 5.30, but slept til 8 after that. I didn't sleep much tbh, it was stifling!!! So am surprised Euan slept at all.
Going to the Olympic torch today, will get him a thin sleeping bag when out too.

How's the rest of you? Xx

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 27/05/2012 17:34

All a ok here. M god it's hot. We have been to bransby home of rest for horses. It's only a small place, in the middle of nowhere so wasn't expecting it to be busy, but it was packed. It was an open day with stalls and games. Think the whole of Lincoln was there!!! So hot tho and not a lot of shade. The baby will not keep a hat on! At all. Not even for a second.

She's been sleeping fine, odd nights sleeping through but last night up at 2 for bottle. But straight back to sleep no problem. It wasn't as hot last night as it has been here, was nice to get snuggled in duvet again.

Wat you all been doing? Did you see the torch klou?

It's coming to Newark in July. Why does it take so long? Where do they take it in the meantime?

KLou111 · 28/05/2012 16:42

I don't know where it goes Liz.
Did you watch the one show when it was lit by Beckham? Well, the 'studio' was a trailer unit, and my robs brother drives that trailer and he was there lucky sod. He held the torch before the plane came in and he was 1 in the crowd. Sod the torch, I would have just been happy with becks Wink

Saw the torch, went an hour early, then told it was on the other side of the road so didn't get a good view, but did see it. Over in a flash!!
Good though, will never see it again so good just for that.

Had a fab night here, Euan a lot better last night, stirred at 6.30, ignored him, then I went to wake him at 8.30 and he was sat in his cot playing with his teddies, we didn't know he was up!!

Didn't get the thinner sleeping bag as couldn't get near Tesco. Matalan we could, and they only had a (as stated on the label) 'less than 4 tog' one. Wtf does that mean??
Anyway, I've traded £5 of Tesco vouchers for £10 clothing vouchers, so will get one when next in as it'll be free lol!

Oh, and Euan has been standing a lot on his own today :o

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 28/05/2012 21:12

No klou, dont see the one show. Lulus school is going to see the torch go by, to be honest, I really don't give two toots about it. I. Ant get my head around the fact that the government are making cuts here there and everywhere, yet can find enough money to spend on the Olympic games. I know it's going to create jobs, but not forever. I just imagine how much better the money could be used and make improvements that would last forever. Pisses me off!!

Odd how h label in the sleeping bag said that, I don't understand togs at the best of times, never mind trying to. Confuse me like that!!

I think it won't be long till Euans off on his own!

How are you iwish? Have you managed to dodge the sunburn over the weekend?

KLou111 · 29/05/2012 15:57

Not long til I do iwish!!! How excited must you be now!!!

I know what you mean Liz they always find the money to give out to foreign aid too when we have cancer suffers being refused treatment cos its too expensive Wtf?????

We only went cos we'll never get to do it again.

Well, Euan has more or less decided that he now wants to feed himself.
So the food in the freezer is a bit of a waste of time (except the fish or stirfries), so Rob suggested I get it out as normal, wizz it up and spread it on a sandwich. So will try that. Am doing onion bhajis for his tea but I think we may nick some too!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 29/05/2012 15:59

Oh, re the sleeping bag, Euans is 2.5 tog now, so that one I saw was way too thick! His is a winter one as it is.
The Tesco one was a 1 or 1.5, I can't remember

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 29/05/2012 16:49

Oh how I wish you lived closer and you could feed my babs too!! Everything Å·ou do sounds so delicious.

I have a tesco voucher too, will have to remember to change it before they stop doing it, but think its all summer isn't it?

Lulus going on a school trip tomorrow, it's the first I haven't been able to go on but I think she will like it more if I don't go! She tends to play up when I am there, but good as gold when I'm not.

Iwish · 29/05/2012 21:36

Hey ladies. Sorry I dissapeared, been here there and everywhere. Everything is sorted for the wedding now. Just got to pick up my flowers on the actual day. ONLY 3 MORE DAYS EEK!!

Is lulu excited for her trip liz? Yeh I put a higher factor suncream on but forgot to do my legs so burnt 1 leg lol. Glad Violet is doing ok with her sleep.

Try eBay klou. You can get a 1 tog and even a 0.5 tog. I'm thinking of getting some. You do make some yummy food, I can't cook lol, nick does it.

Joshua has been sleeping through for a couple of weeks now with the odd rubbish night. He's fallen asleep after 4pm a few times and is a nightmare to get to sleep at night eg tonight he wouldn't go down till 8:45 but he was tired from 7:30.
Still hot here so Joshua has been going to bed in just a short romper suit, no blanket etc.

lizandlulu · 29/05/2012 22:18

I wouldn't let violet go to sleep after 4 once she started sleeping through, I have even put her to bed at5.30 before cause she's been so tied and couldn't wait till 6, but if she goes to sleep after 4, she doesn't want to go to bed and puts her all out.

Ohh exciting about your d day. At least he weathers going to be nice, cooler maybe but still nice

Iwish · 30/05/2012 10:54

I wish he wouldn't fall asleep after 4. It's been when we have been in the car or pram. Hope he sleeps earlier today. He was up at 7:20 today but did a bit of a cry at 4:45 and 5:45. put a blanket on him at 5:45 then went back to bed.

I hope it's dry on the day bit don't mind if it's not hot because Joshua is wearing a suit so don't want him to be too hot.

Ordered Joshua some sunglasses lol. Wonder if they will stay on. They have a strap instead of arms

KLou111 · 30/05/2012 11:32

I'm sure it'll be fabulous iwish!!
Does Joshua have a nap in the day?
I bought Euan some baby bans when we went to tenerife, he was only 14 weeks, so they stayed on. However, this holiday he pulled them off within seconds of them bring on so he didn't wear them at all lol!

Thought about eBay for his bag, got some right bargains on 2 before he was born.

Well, had a bit of a heart in mouth moment last night.
Hadn't heard a peep from Euan from the moment he went to bed. We usually at least hear the odd bang where he's moved in his cot, but nothing. Anyway, as usual, I checked him before bed, about 11 and he was on his back, very odd as he's usually on his side or front now.
Anyway at 4.30, I was woken up by what I thought was an alarm, but I was half asleep so as soon as I 'woke up' fully, it stopped.
Suddenly clicked it was Euans alarm!!!! I jumped out of bed, ran into his room, and he was snoring away, fast asleep, his monitor flashing that he was breathing. I didn't really go back to sleep after that, I don't know how long it was going off for, but if he doesn't move (breath etc) for 20 or more secs the alarm goes off. Anyway, he woke at 7.35 all fine, very odd.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 30/05/2012 13:51

ohh klou bet your heart was pounding! and he was oliviousGrin

not tried violet with sunglasses, but she wont keep a hat on even for a second. i put it on, she takes it off, i put it on, she takes it off. repeat this 10-15 times and you get the pictureGrin

KLou111 · 30/05/2012 15:20

Lol, Euan takes his hat off, but eventually he gives up after 3 or 4 times!

Totally oblivious Liz but the alarm's in his room, and it's bloody loud so am not sure how he didn't wake up!
