(I meant nowt wrong, darned small phone keyboard!)

plutocrap · 24/01/2012 20:18

aethelfleda: more hands than children! Shock DH's friend was recently telling me about (basketball) "zone defence" for 2 parents with 3+ kids, but think he overlooked the fact that mothers of 2 do 1-on-2 every day already! (typical working dad oversight, I'm sure...)

BTW, I wanted to tell you all this this weekend when we had some people round: a little boy (about 3.6) was asking to ewatch television and wanted to know where yhe tv was - while standing right next to it. However, it's a small one, about the size of a computer monitor and when I pointed it out heasked: is tyhat it? I had tyo laugh and ask him whether he'd ever seen a television that small. Grin I do love seeimg children learn things!

OiMissus · 24/01/2012 20:25

Welcome back plu, great to hear from you and know that all is going well. Hello to itsy.and well done to everyone on the thread for getting your LOs nicely fattened up!
northern my LO has.had less than 2hrs sleep since 8am, and most of that would've been brokenup in car journeys. I think the books got confused, they don't sleep for 16hrs, they FEED for 16hrs!

LittleMissFlustered · 24/01/2012 20:37

aethel The coke ban is for my health:o I can go anywhere up to four litres a day and that isn't good for anyone! A cold turkey ban was easier than cutting down. When I'm over the sweats and jitters I'll treat myself now and again when out for meals etc.:)

LittleMissFlustered · 24/01/2012 20:39

Plu We need a new telly, and I'm planning to downsize to a 22 or 26 inch one. Most people are stunned. They come over quite faint when I say I'd happily get rid of the damn thing altogether:o

mopsytop · 24/01/2012 20:40

Hi all! Welcome back plu!

Just saying hello-off to sleep now before the night shift starts at 12. Here's hoping we all get some sleep tonight. Especially those of you on only two hours!

LittleMissFlustered · 24/01/2012 20:40

Oi never a truer word spoken. My nipples are on strike after the last 24 hours!

DarcieandSkysmum · 24/01/2012 20:53

evening ladies

an going to spk to my GP tomorrow, but have given Sky some of the comfort milk tonight and has guzzled 6oz, brought up wind lovely and doesn't seem to be in pain sowill see how ergo overnight.

itsybitsy08 · 24/01/2012 21:07

LMF and plu Grin
That's good to know about the cola, I love diet coke, and its one of my 'treats' since giving up smoking (ages and ages ago!) but since I have been bf I have been avoiding it as was worried DS would turn into a crazy hyper caffine baby Blush
I have taken to eating with a spoon, easier with one hand, if every thing is cut up before hand. Failing that biscuits and chocolate are easy to eat one handed, perhaps too much! Bf helps weight loss? Pah! Not in this house!!

OiMissus · 24/01/2012 21:22

Bf has certainly made me lose weight. I weigh less now than before pregnancy - not got waist back, and boobs weigh 4stone each, so there's more to go. I've eaten so much chocolate, and done no exercise, it must be the bfing!
I've lost all muscle/bulk in my legs - it's great. I may never go back to my exercise classes. And I may bf till Ali's 18. Grin

sevenswansaswimming · 24/01/2012 21:32

plu good to have you back.

darcies glad she seems ok, hopefully that's all she needs.

Just thought I'd share that DH and I have started ttc DC3 [crazy lady emoticon]

OiMissus · 24/01/2012 22:03

Rarr seven!!! go on girl! GrinGrinGrin
DH is away from home again tonight, but is hoping to be back earlier tomorrow. Smile
Which reminds me , pelvic floors ladies!!
(5 Ferraro rochers were necessary for energy).

Mmmmcheese · 24/01/2012 22:14

I think with DS bfing helped me lose intial weight but then made me SO hungry and I took advantage and ate loads of biscuits and cake and crap all day so ended up putting it on.

I have a stone to lose but don't want to worry about it too much. Just want to be able to wear my old clothes. Didn't do very well today as ate the rest of the packet of chocolate biscuits and made a ginger cake which I had a massive chunk of too :) I always eat like that when I'm tired. DD didn't get to sleep until 1.30am then woke for a feed at 3 and 7 :(

DD is still sleeping loads and generally not awake very much. Please reassure me again that its ok and normal as I'm starting to get anxious about it again! As ii said before when she is awake she's alert and can even move her head to track objects but she's only really awake for 2-3 hrs a day. Wish I could stop worrying about everything!

OiMissus · 24/01/2012 23:02

mmmm every day is different, every child is different. Ali is awake loads, but then there'll be the odd day where he does nothing but sleep. Babymmm has shown really impressive weight gain, is alert and progressing really well = babymmm is absolutely fine and Mmmm is doing a grand job!! (the weight gain is particularly impressive!) Rest assured. X

BeeMyBaby · 24/01/2012 23:29

plu I am planning to get a buggyboard for DD1, just have to get round to ordering it....

DD2 is being a dream, very little problems (feeds very often but I don't mind as if we are out and about she stays asleep), however DD1 is... she returned from her holiday and is not sleeping well, yesterday she was absolutely horrible because of it, constant whining and tantrums throughout the day. DH went out for the evening so I put her to bed on my own, tried to keep her relaxed etc. She went to bed at 9.15, cried for 3 mins but was asleep by 9.18 (she had been going to sleep at 11 the couple of nights before at at midnight when on holiday...)...today she was fantastic and fun to be around, and minimal crying, it was all going great, in bed at 9.10 but DH was home so she cried longer and he went into check on her...so she cried longer... so he went into check on her, etc etc until now, she has only just stopped crying at 11.20. I know DH just wants to check she's ok but... and he doesn't have to deal with her tomorrow and her horribleness if she's not slept well. At least he's out tomorrow evening so I can try put her to bed early again. Sorry, just venting.

On the happy side I have found that bathing DD1 &2 at the same time is quite fun, DD1 is very cute when she is trying to wash DD2 on her giant sponge :D

mopsytop · 25/01/2012 00:36

Hi all, minimopsy just massively sicked uP. Most of her last feed I would say. It gave me such a fright. She often sicks up a bit but not this much. She was on her back and it was just pouring out and she was coughing and choking. She seems okay now though. Must have been trapped wind I guess. :(

sevenswansaswimming · 25/01/2012 01:45

Morning nightshifters.

mopsy Eva is occasionally sick that much, it's horrible and frustrating when you've spent ages feeding.

Eva has been fed, I just tried to go to bed and failed. I laid her in her crib, sat on the bed then she started crying, I didn't even get to lay down. Now I'm back downstairs, exhausted and with sick in my hair.

plutocrap · 25/01/2012 02:09

BeeMyBaby, the BB is brilliant. OUrs was from Kiddicare, I think (they let you rearrange the day of delivery by text message, so are v flexible to order from.)

Sick everywhere - that's horribly frustrating, mopsy and seven! Sad Milk is just white gold, isn't it, particularly if it's in the stomach!

LittleMissFlustered · 25/01/2012 02:30

Just done another round of feed and wind. Am officially a zombie

aethelfleda · 25/01/2012 02:32

morning....

Mmmmcheese · 25/01/2012 02:41

HeLlo nightshifters!

oi thank you so much - just what I needed to hear!

Keep finding DD squashed up at the side of her moses with her face in the side. I worry that she can't breathe properly like that. She's almost grown out of it now anyway so might need to start dismantling the cot in order to build it again in our room. I didn't think I'd have to do it this early!

Bleurgh. Eyelids are drooping already ...

LittleMissFlustered · 25/01/2012 03:24

Octopus boy has decided he needs the other side. I have a headache brewing:(

hawthers · 25/01/2012 03:29

Boys site tag teaming gain tonight after a cunning start where both were asleep in their own beds at 23.30 thereby killing their stupid patents into a false sense of security. Only had 2 hours sleep since then and ds2 us refusing to re-enter his Moses basket.

Off for the fourth attempt.

Really must remember to get some food up here - I'm starving again

hawthers · 25/01/2012 03:32

Didn't even get as far ad the fourth attempt. Mini h started head bonking as soon as I picked him up. Back on it. This boy must have a worm it something, he's been at it for nearly 2 hours. Still weigh in with mw tomorrow...

Oh shit the birds have started singing. I'm fucked

OiMissus · 25/01/2012 03:37

Morning nightshifters, Ali has been so sweet whilst DH has been away, he's been really calm. He was awake most iof yesterday and apart from screaming spells inhis car seat, he was a dream. He finally fell asleep at 10pm, but we had a cuddly/feedy evening so it was fine. He woke up just after 2, and it's taken an hour to feed/wind/change/feed/wind/change him. He was wide awake but very snugly and content so I'm all loved up and in awe of him. I wonder if I'll feel the same tomorrow morning as I'm trying to get ready to go into work with him... Smile
