Hello hello! Currently sitting in the Hairdresser being de-greyed! I'm slightly worried at how ginger my warn copper highlights are goin!!

I snt believe its March already. Can someone tell me where the last year went?

I had my follow up with the doc yesterday. I got a prescription for ADs. I just trying to work out if I should take them or not. I'm not sure about them.

I had a fab time at work today. there was an F1 simulator car in! Vvv exciting getting to drive it! AND I'll have my very own desk when I get in next week. whoop! Its only taken 7weeks!

B is teethin again and cries when ever dh or I are out of sight. This is either tooth number 9 or 10.

OutMeAndDie · 01/03/2012 19:40

Well jeal of the car fizz. how are you feeling in yourself? Any better?

GsyPotatoPieEyed · 01/03/2012 22:17

Have PM'd you for the Mocci's ILTMI, I havn't got the self-restraint of Ali Blush

I'm about halfway through Caitlin Moran now Ilike, have had to suppress a few sniggers whilst reading it on the bus.

P's favourite passtime is now crawling after her brother at a rate of knots whenever he goes anywhere, if he goes through and shuts one of the child gates she will sit and rattle it until he comes out again. They both think this is hilarious Confused. She has also spent most of this afternoon doing what looks like yoga (downward dog to be precise).

F1 simulator sounds fun Fizz. Jenson button has a house down the road from my in-laws. I've not seen him but he has been spotted in the local shop. The most fun I had DS had today was riding up the esculator and down the lift in our newly refitted M&S, (3 times). We're a small island, we take our entertainment where we can get it Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 01/03/2012 23:09

:o Gsy! I used to love the escaltors in M&S when I was younger. 4 floors of fun!!

I don;t know what happened but I had a second post after that one ^^ the namechecked, but it's not there Hmm. I will try to remember what I said:-

Outme - Time flies! That's your 1st trimester almost up!!
ILike - I am trying to ignore your link, but I know sometime tomorrow nosiness will get the better of me!
NBG - Hope you get a nice restful, illness free, weekend!

My hair has a subtle red hue now, working on lightening it so the greys blend better!! Will take a few more cuts to get the really dark brown out and nothing short of paintstripper is going to lift it!

OutMe - I'm feeling okish. I have good days and not so good days. Had a big chat with DH tonight ans decided to take the ADs even thought today has been a good day. I had a bad day on Sunday when I completely lost it makeing the supper when I couldn't get the lumps out of my rue and then burned it to the arse of the pan. That reaction was not normal. It the only stop my moodswings then I'd be ok with that. I have to commit to taking them for 9 months at least.

Anyway, I'm off to bed as I can barely keep my eyes open. Night!

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/03/2012 23:17

Fizz - I didn't want to say anything about ADs earlier, until you had decided what to do with them. I was just the same with mine, in fact I sat and looked at the packet all over a weekend before I came off the fence about them :)
I really hope they help you like they did me And you hair sounds lovely.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 02/03/2012 10:42

you hair?

your hair, obviously.

DairyBeetle · 02/03/2012 13:41

Hello all, I finally have the time to take a breath at work so I'm using it to MN!

Fizz I hope the AD help you. I've had (pretty serious) bouts of depression some with ADs and some without. While I found the ADs helped to begin with and get me in a better 'place' CBT is what helped me most. But then I needed the ADs to get me in the 'place' for the CBT to be benifical IYSWIM.

Gsy We had a shopping centre that had a glass lift when I was a kid, was a special treat for behaving while shopping in town to go in the see-through lift! >easily please child<

S is doing 'downward dog' a lot too, his prefence seems to be for naked yoga Hmm I've caught him a couple of times trying to whip his own nappy off!

Outme Wow, scan time already! Smile

Ali hope T's teething has worn off a bit. The teething related grizzle is an especially horrid one isn't it?!

NBG hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Ilike thanks for the Moccis link! I've forwarded the email to DH so that he can order some for S (and maybe me, if he gets my hint...well the 'junior' size goes to a 2/3 which would fit Grin )

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 02/03/2012 19:14

Hi all!

Will post properly later, but hi!

I'm in the "Eek! My baby is One this month!" club with Ali.

What am I going to do? Party? Friends round? 4 sets of GPs on diff days? And what's a good present for a first birthday?

GsyPotatoPieEyed · 03/03/2012 01:36

I have just purchased 3 pairs BlushSmile of Moccis, thanks very much for the email ILIKE. I got 2 lilac ones in different sizes for DD and the bumble bees for DS. Will probably put his away for Christmas as he is just into a size 9 now and I ordered a size 10/11 for him to grow into.

Shock I sound just like my own mother now!

I had a free couple of hours this afternoon today to get my hair cut and also took the opportunity to have a mooch round New Look, treated myself to this dress for next Saturday when I'm going to a gig with the girls from work. I would have preferred something a little longer to cover my tree trunk legs, but hopefully it will be pretty dark. Grin.

Another March baby here. I bought P's 1st birthday presents today. I saw a new version of my favourite childhood toy. It's the Weebles Treehouse. I also got her the Weebles Tumble and Turn home as that will be from the PIL's. I would have got a Trike or Ride on if we didn't have DS' old ones. DS had the ELC WhizzAround Garage for his 1st birthday and it still gets well used. He and P were squabbling playing with it this very morning.

We are having a family tea-party for P at my in-laws on her birthday (Sat 31st) and then DS has his bouncy castle/friends from preschool 4th birthday party in the scout hut the following day. P will have another 1st birthday cake there too and some of DS's friends' younger siblings if they come her friends might come along. My mum is helping with the party and will then come back to ours in the afternoon to give P her presents from them and DS can open his party gifts. Then on 12th April it will be another family tea-party for DS on his actual birthday. God, I feel knackered just thinking about it.

Right better get to bed, I'm not working until 1pm tomorrow but we have a 4th birthday party to go to in the morning. It's Super Hero fancy dress and as DS has outgrown his Spiderman costume he is going as Lightning McQueen!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/03/2012 07:37

Lol at fitting the junior mocci's Dairy Grin, I am right at the other end of the spectrum and take an 8.

There are more March babies than I realised. I can't remember what we got ds's for their 1st birthday Blush I'm going into town on my own tomorrow so I think I might have a mooch around the toy shops.

I think we will have a buffet type thing with close family to celebrate I's birthday. I've been starting to think about what cake to do. I'm not very creative so it has to be simple.

Ds has had the bumble bee mocci's Gsy, they are lovely Smile. Good idea about stocking some for Christmas, I may copy you. Love the dress as well, I am rather partial to a bit of leopard print I used to have a pair of leopard print pumps but I wore them so much they got a hole going right through the sole. It was a sad day when they went into the bin.

Ds2 got the weeble castle for his 1st birthday from my m&d. Be warned the weebles are bigger and heavier than the ones we had and they make very good missiles Grin

Off into town soon for lots of mooching and spending [hopefully], then maybe off for a romp around the countryside this afternoon if the boys are up to it - they both have colds.

How was the zoo outme? the zoo you went to isn't that far from me Smile

How are you doing Frakk? Haven't seen you for a while come and wave and say hello Smile

OutMeAndDie · 03/03/2012 07:55

Zoo was fab Ilike. we got up close to the penguins. It was so warm Friday too. S loved the Sealions and fish. I have a year pass to there so intend going alot if you'd like to meet there one day?

NotBobbysGirl · 03/03/2012 21:09

I'm a fellow leopard print fan ILTMI & GPPE :) I have a dress v similar to the one you've bought and currently looking for a pair of leopard print pumps for the spring!
Took both kids swimming this morning and I'm absolutley shattered!! DP has gone out with my dad for a few pints as my brother has bailed out on his own stag do!!! Don't think my dad's best impressed!

OutMeAndDie · 04/03/2012 08:15

What do I need for s to go swimming?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/03/2012 08:28

Sounds like a plan outme, let's wait for the warmer weather though as that place is EVIL when it's cold!

A disposable swim nappy or a reusable swim nappy. Take S's towel to the pool side as they get cold very quickly after being in the water [swim]

Your brother bailed on his own stag night?

NotBobbysGirl · 04/03/2012 08:33

The mind boggles further when DP comes rolling in at 2am and picks a fight with me but won't tell me why. I slept on the kids bedroom floor last night :( Absolute wanker.

OutMeAndDie · 04/03/2012 08:36

Eek sorry nbg missed the stag do bit. What a horrid night for you. Give him what for today.

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 04/03/2012 10:52

Water spurting DIY disaster. Hilarious, and potentially not as expensive as first imagined. What a Sunday!

Fraktal · 04/03/2012 11:37

This dropped off my threads I'm on! Too much lurking not enough posting.

out you just need a swim nappy really, we take M loads.

ilike can you FB me the mocci's details? I have curiosity....

NBG that is utterly shit. Hope notsoDP realises he's been a twat and makes suitable amends.

Negotiations about no 2 are ongoing. I dither. Is it better to wait until we're certain? I need to start a thread to gather views really but it may all be academic given that I am still AFless.

chillikat · 04/03/2012 20:43

NBG hope you found out what was going on and things are better now.

M has developed a miaow like sound this weekend - I keep thinking we have suddenly got a cat. Got lots done too - gate on the kitchen so I can cook without her hanging off my leg, clothes up to 6 months up in the loft and finally caught up on the washing from last weekends sickness.
On the subject of sickness (apologies to those who might have just eaten) does anyone's baby regularly throw up? M will throw up as I feed her to sleep at least once a month, always when she's feeding on the right boob and often when we've seen PIL Confusedthough I think that's just coincidence. Any ideas? A bad latch or positioning maybe? she does seem to have her head turned towards me, would that make her sick?

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Cyclebump · 05/03/2012 08:05

Morning gang, I've been off radar for a while. Basically...

Work thing resolved, they played hardball, it got unpleasant and I ended up with less than I'd hoped but decided to walk away to save my sanity and my wallet from legal fees.

Then my grandma dies while visiting my parents in France so I had to go with my sisters to be with my grandad, who'd stayed in England.

All sorted now but I'm way behind on the gossip. Anyone fancy giving me a bullet point run down of the things I've missed?

NotBobbysGirl · 05/03/2012 09:32

Aww Cycle sorry to hear about your grandma :(

DP has apologised for his behaviour but has no idea why he was arguing with me in the first place Angry Idiot he is. No more drinks with my dad for him!!

Back to work today :( Only on Mon, Tues and Fri this week though - yay!

JKSLtd · 05/03/2012 10:21

Cycle - sympathies.

NBG - glad he apologised, silly man!

Frak - hellooo :) I can't stop thinking about and planning number 4 Shock Grin (DH doesn't know that it's pretty definite for me, he still thinks we'll decide at some point in the distant future!)

Chili - DD doesn't really throw up at all, but DS1 used to a lot. Think he was over it by this age though?

Speaking of vomit though, she was sick twice last night, nice. DH didn't even know she'd woken up, it amazes me how much he can sleep through. I'm not annoyed with him as he has work until late tonight and i didn't need anyone else to help, just amazed.
She seems fine this morning, had lots of milk and it stayed down along with some breakfast. Gone back to bed for an earlier than usual nap though.

She has 6 teeth now, the tip of one of the side ones, not molar, is it canine? I always get confused. is through, so think that's causing the horrid nappy rash, excessive dribble & probably the puking. what fun.

I'm waiting for my shopping to arrive in my pjs as I didn't get showered before 9, what's the betting it'll arrive at 10.55?!

OutMeAndDie · 05/03/2012 12:29

So sorry cycle

How far back have you missed? I'm pregnant (planned). Scan is this wed!

Silly hubby nbg

Hi frak

I have no clue re teeth jks. s has six also. Top middle 4 and bottom 2.

Cyclebump · 05/03/2012 16:34

I knew you were pg Outme, but I can't believe it's nearly scan time! So exciting!

H has seven teeth and git weight today. He's 21.8lb but is still a string bean so it's all in the length fnar fnar...

He's always on his feet now and loves getting into things he shouldn't Smile

I'll join the 'when to have number two' debate. Now that I'm nit working I'm torn between I'll wait til I've sorted work and Let's just do it now!.

ecuse · 05/03/2012 23:58

Sorry for radio silence, been lurking again. For those who were on tenterhooks Wink they found the thing up my chuff. Coil all present and correct, nicely positioned apparently, just lost the strings. Didn't go into how it comes out, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. NO MORE BABIES UNTIL WE'RE OUT OF OUR 1-BED FLAT!!!

On which note - we accepted the first offer we'd had on my tiny studio flat in a year, had an offer accepted on a house ourselves, then lost our buyer Sad. But fingers crossed another buyer might be on the horizon and we haven't (yet) lost the one we want. It is just possible it might all resolve itself this week.

We've had an horrendous time here for the last fortnight. Joanna has had chicken pox, gastroenteritis and two new teeth in the space of a fortnight. In the same fornight, DP and I have both had D&V and I have had sinusitis. Even the cat joined us in the throwing up stakes. And we've had this house debacle as well. Am at the end of my rope but (touch wood) things should be on the up now. Everyone's kept their dinner down for the last three days. Now to see to the laundry pile...

Think J timed it all very cunningly anyway. We were one day away from starting some sleep training, as I'm back to work FT in 5 weeks now and would like to be getting decent sleep by then. Looking increasingly unlikely as want to make sure she's properly mended (and I'm a bit better rested) before I start night weaning.

Better get to bed but, briefly -

Moccis - want

OutMe - scan - squee!

Birthday parties/cakes - both headache and excitement if you ask me.

Fizz - glad you've got a plan, hope it's helping

Cycle - many sympathies, that's horrible.
