I know, I'm sort of thinking it would be easier not to sed her, but she is so excited about going!!!

C went to pre school today. Went in, found a jigsaw and then gave me a kiss and waved me goodbye. No tears.

Can't wait to go and get her again though

She had a lovely day. Had one little cry apparently. They said she was stood in the middle of the room looking a bit lost :( but she was happy to have a cuddle from one of the key workers and gave her a really tight squeeze. She also found a boyfriend who she was cuddling and kissing!!

Day 2 tomorrow. Hopefully it'll go smoothly. A only starting crying at drop off after the first few times when he knew I'd be leaving him. At least after coming with me on the school run for 2.5 years she knows for sure that I'm coming back

C was keen yesterday. Not so much today and told me she wanted to play at home. I stayed for a bit until I thought she wouldn't scream when I went and managed to make it out of the door without tears. Will be amazed if she hasn't cried though Sad

Noah's started as well. He was fairly keen (this morning's his 4th morning there), but this morning decided he didn't want to go Sad He was absolutely fine once we got there though and sat on the carpet with the others quite happily Smile I'd like to say that I'm enjoying the free mornings with Rosa (who is now 1, where did that year go?!) but she has a nap for the entire time, so I just get a lot of time to either do housework or feel guilty for not doing it Hmm
I don't even want to talk about potty training, the whole thing is a complete disaster, this is the absolute worst part of parenting for me Sad it's not particularly helped by friend's just turned two year olds all picking it up easily left right and centre HmmEnvy
Hope everyone else is ok Smile

As expected, she'd cried after I left and again near the end of the session (probably because she was tired)

Says she doesn't want to go back next week Sad

Taking her on Sunday for a fundraising event and to let DH and DS have a look round so hopefully she'll be a bit more excited again after showing us all round

Oh no, I didn't realise you had replied Lee, I'm so sorry! Yes, I totally agree about the need for control. He is definitely a child who likes to be in control, we've never had any food issues, I think because I let him have a lot of control (well, very limited but he thinks he has a lot of control Wink).
It is going a little better now, since he learnt to wee standing up, I think because he doesn't have to rely on anyone else to help him sit on the toilet. That doesn't help with poos, but he waits til he has a nappy on to do those Sad
Preschool is going well, he is always keen to go and happy for me to leave and has started talking about other kids there, so I think he's making friends as well (they are mostly the names of girls HmmGrin)
Hope everyone else is ok Smile

Hi all, how are we all doing?
Potty training going slightly better now, he has finally started asking to go about 60-70% of the time, which is brilliant. The rest of the time he tells me after he has weed, a bit frustrating, but it's normally when he feels he is not getting enough attention Hmm Poos still not great, he is clearly holding them in a bit, but has asked to sit on the toilet a few times and has done a poo once.
Everything else is fine, I love that he can talk 'properly' now, it is just so lovely to hear what's going on in their little heads Grin

Ah, Ethelred, you are who I was missing, sorry! Congratulations, brilliant news Grin Looking forward to your update Smile

I have seen Hercule on mn recently actually, so think she does still come on here Smile

Does anyone ever see names and think 'hmmm, I'm sure I recognise them from this thread years ago'. I can't think of any names off the top of my head, but always think I should say something and then chicken out Grin

Found you again. I noticed on FB that you were pregnant again Ethel, congratulations!

You're going to have a March and a December baby just like me :)

I'm poorly at the moment. I went to the doctor because I was feeling constantly tired and a blood test showed that I have very low White Blood Cell levels and therefore not a lot of immunity. Explains why I've been feeling awful but is a bit worrying. Hopefully I'll be better soon

WhispersOfWickedness · 21/10/2012 12:11

Goodness, blathers, that sounds a bit worrying, do they know why? Is there anything they can do to resolve it?

They don't know why. I'm on iron tablets to try and help. I've been feeling a bit better this weekend so hopefully they're working.

I am totally, totally stuck! What on earth are you lot getting your about-to-be-3-year-old for birthdays/christmas this year??

Report
WhispersOfWickedness · 08/11/2012 07:37

How is the iron working, Blathers?

I have got so much on the list for Noah, it's really hard not to buy him everything Blush It's Rosa I'm having trouble with as she already has everything from Noah and hasn't really developed her own likes and dislikes yet! She normally just wants to play with what he is playing with Hmm
