Hello just come on quickly to send my love to ladyt today. Glad it all went ok and happy birthday to o!

Dieds so sorry about your nan too.

And here's to a better December.

Got to go, my parents are here and they are always making out im terribly unsociable for being on phone or computer!

ZuleikaJambiere · 26/11/2011 10:21

Yet more November sadness - my Gran has died this morning. She's been saying for years that she didn't enjoy life anymore, as she's pretty much deaf and blind and she is wheel chair bound, and we all agreed with her. But when it comes to it, it turns we didn't want her to go after all Sad

But you know what, Wine to us and our loved ones

VagolaJahooli · 26/11/2011 12:48

Sorry to hear about your nan ZJ and I completely understand what you mean about not wanting her to go. I remember feeling quite guilty that I didn't want my nan to die yet when she sadly did. Apart from missing her, it delt suddenly strange to think I would never go to her house again, an address I'd known and been able to just turn up at all my life. Big love to you, sorry she didn't get to meet your next LO.

DeidreBarlow · 26/11/2011 13:15

Oh ZJ that is such sad news. Am so sorry for your loss. Gosh please let November hurry up and be over.

And Vag, what you said about never going to the house again....that's pretty much how I feel.

The happy, loving memories never go away though Deids.

JollyBear · 26/11/2011 18:00

Very sorry to hear your sad news ZJ. Understand completely what you mean. I love sharing stories about my late Gran with the girls and I make her Christmas cake recipe every year. All those we miss live on through us in one way or another.

Lady Hope O has a great time celebrating her birthday tomorrow.

Kayzr · 27/11/2011 10:08

ZJ I'm so sorry to hear about your Gran. Sad

Roll on December and hopefully it'll be a better month.

poisondwarf · 27/11/2011 11:42

ZJ sorry to hear your sad news.

LadyT glad the funeral went well and hope you enjoyed your cricket dinner. Did you do anything for O's birthday in the end?

When is our next birthday?

poisondwarf · 27/11/2011 11:55

So next stop Nancy on Tuesday. Anyone heard from urbane? Isn't she due around now?

Kayzr · 27/11/2011 15:15

Oh gosh I haven't seen the list in ages.

LadyThompson · 27/11/2011 16:51

I'm so sorry to hear about your Nan, ZJ. Oh dear oh dear. Love to all your family.

We celebrated O's birthday today. She is happy and knows no different...I didn't get back from London until last night.

I did have Urbane's phone number but it is trapped in my old BlackBerry. I have lost such a lot of numbers, it's so annoying.

I will be back later or tomorrow but the house is all still full of what we have cleared from my London flat and DP's flat. It is mad and I have to try and tackle it though it's going to take me weeks to assimilate.

sybilfaulty · 27/11/2011 17:07

Oh ZJ, I am so sorry to hear about your gran. Even when the person is very old, it is terribly sad and upsetting for everyone. Huge hugs to you.

We have minor progress on the TT front with pretty much all wees all weekend in the potty. Poos not so successful, but it might get nursery off my back. I was so annoyed that they were cross with me for his weeing last week. He also committed teh ultimate indiscretion by pooing in the home corner Shock. I struggled not to laugh. It was very serious.

Thanks for doing the SS thing Jolly. I am in. very much looking forward to it.

Love to everyone - proper catch up later I hope.

VagolaJahooli · 27/11/2011 19:19

Sybs your DS pooing in the home corner made me giggle, I'm sorry. It's just I'd just been talking to a friend this week about her discomfort having to do a no.2 anywhere but at home. Maybe your DS just feels comfortable and at home, in the home corner. Maybe they should take it as a compliment.

Beans36 · 28/11/2011 13:42

Hi All

ZJ - I'm so sorry to hear about your Nan. Are you bearing up ok?

Sybs - loving the corner crapping. Genius!

Secret Santa - I'm in, although need to find the email address again - sorry!

Had a fairly frantic weekend, although enjoyable. DH v v busy at work and had to bring it home with him. Didn't get back from work til past midnight on Friday so I was on early duty with the girls, which is fine. Then he had to do a couple of hours on Saturday morning. He then went to Barbarians match with some mates, which has been in the diary for months. Then out on the piss. He got back at 10.30 as he has man flu as well, so was drunk and feeling rank. Up on Sunday, I did early shift again. Hmph. We went down to my parents' for Sunday lunch, which DH was v keen to do as he hasn't seen Dad since the pronunciation of the Big C in his life to the end! We had a lovely lovely day. Dad is so much better as he's had a week off from chemo and he was playing with his new golf buggy, which he's bought himself. DH was a total hero and helped him set it up and get the trailer sorted etc. Dad was v grateful as is kind of hard with a bad leg!! Then we had lunch, which Dad ate - his first proper meal since Monday. He was looking quite skinny, but still lovely. Just a bit diminished really. Then we came home as Dad needed a sleep after his busy day!

DH then did more work and so got out of doing suppertime and bathtime. Hmmm. Wasn't best pleased. Then came in and read stories to the girls, then went out and did more work. And he'll be working late every night this week, before going to Cumbria on Thursday for a long weekend. I think the following weekend, I am going to have a lie in on both mornings! Am going to be exhausted from doing all childcare for pretty much 2 weeks. That's the best thing about my new job, I get two afternoons off a week!!! Going to get my hair done tomorrow. Brilliant!

Wow, I do chat on senselessly!

Lady - how was O's bday?

DD1 a week tomorrow. EEK! Think I might take her to see Happy Feet Two in the afternoon, while leaving DD2 at nursery. Brilliant.

Right, off to have a chocolate.

JollyBear · 28/11/2011 13:53

Beans and all yet to sign up!

Secret Santa address: jinglebells d e [email protected] (without the spaces!)

Catch up properly later on.

Beans36 · 28/11/2011 14:04

I've done it JB! xx

ZuleikaJambiere · 28/11/2011 15:07

Thank you to everyone for your condolences, it is so lovely to have your support. I am feeling much better today as I know my Gran wasn't happy and she didn't want to live anymore. I wasn't in the mood for sharing this on Sunday, but it makes me smile now - my Gran was put on some pretty high strength painkillers and ABs last week, which sent her a bit loopy, just before she died she was chatting away to my Mum and telling her all about the lovely hotel she was in and that she was being spoilt with champagne and tomato soup. It sounds like a lovely way to end your days and I quite fancy it myself when my time comes Smile

Deids how are you doing? Is your Mum back in the UK now?

Sorry to hear the ILs are still struggling Invis, so tough for you

LadyT I hope you had a great time at the cricket do on Friday night? I can understand why you needed to go out. We were going to a friends for a quiz night (they set a mean quiz and the stakes are always high) and DH suggested we cry off. But I insisted on going, and made him drive home so I could get tipsy as I knew all my friends would pour me a glass and wouldn't judge boozing 'my condition' - it was perfect. How was O's birthday party? I hope she had tons of fun?

How lovely to see the list again, thanks PD. And happy birthday to Nancy tomorrow if Urbane is lurking

Beans your day with your Dad sounds really lovely

Has your potential buyer come back yet Trace? Sounds promising!

Hurrah for improved behaviour Jump, I can't believe you are heading back to work already - time has flown since E was born!

Grin at pooing in the home corner, I love it Sybs!

VagolaJahooli · 28/11/2011 19:25

Fudge!!!! DH is going to London for one night so I have been buying up loads of stuff on Amazon to send to a friend over there for him to pick up and bring back. I jumped on for one more order (we are doing the one month 'prime delivery' trial so its free next day delivery in the UK) it was a schleich Spinosaurus & an Allasaurus for the boys for Christmas I had 15 minutes to make the cut off for a delivery for tomorrow, and I made it in time but I clicked on the wrong card no.& it used an old expired card no. which is still on their records. By the time I realised and changed it, I'd missed the cut off. Bum bum poo. It will get there on Wednesday, but DH will only be able to get it from her if its delivered early as he needs to get off to Stansted pretty promptly as there is going to be all that industrial action on weds and he might be delayed getting to the airport. Bum poo bum.

sybilfaulty · 28/11/2011 20:17

Bad luck on the Amazon Vag, can you phone them up and see if they can slot you in????

Jolly have emailed you. God I love Christmas.

M is 3 on Thursday. Better think about making a THomas cake I suppose. I love baking but think shapes are beyond me.

Wee update - success all day, went to pick T up from a pal's and did 2 wees by himself. On a loo. Sorted his own pants as well.

Poo update - did a poo at nursery in pants. But in the book room, rather than the home corner, so progress of sorts Smile

traceface · 28/11/2011 21:02

hi all.
zj really sorry to hear about your gran. Glad she felt she was being spoiled in her last days. Tomato soup has always been such comfort food for me, although it HAS to be Heinz!
Beans that's great to hear your dad is brighter this week. I haven't gone through it with anyone, but I imagine there will be many ups and downs over the next few weeks and months, and beyond.
I loved looking at our list again. We've lost a fair few though haven't we? And where is Trudy - she's been AWOL for a while. Are you ok Trudes?
I just went to the shop to buy bread and bananas and accidentally bought Maltesers too Blush
My poor P is poorly Sad 'Just' viral illness, but she is sooooooooo hot and doesn't know what to do with herself. She's so uncomfortable, saying her tummy hurts and just clinging onto me. DH took a day off to look after her today and took her to the GP, who has seen P many times when she's been with me, so she knows what a live wire P is. Anyway, P just lay there on the bench thing, not moving Sad Her temp was really high so GP gave her paracetomol, then checked her 30 mins later and it was still 39.7 Sad ANyway, she cheered up a bit with her bath tonight and is asleep now so hopefully she'll wake up feeling better.
sybs the home corner poo is rather amusing Grin They really shouldn't have been cross about the wees though - surely they expect toddlers to have accidents?
Our viewer came back today for another look at the house - not had feedback yet, but then it was at 4.30 so I didn't expect to hear today. And we've got another viewer coming tomorrow too! Fingers crossed, things might actually be starting to happen!

JollyBear · 28/11/2011 22:11

Just stopping in quickly before bed...

ZJ Aw, sad that your Gran has gone, but what a nice way to go. Tomato soup and champagne sounds like a mixture of comfort and celebration.

trace Lovely house news. Sorry to hear P is poorly. It is awful when they are like that. Hope she is back to her bouncy self tomorrow.

syb Very funny about the poo in the home corner! Grin

vag Really annoying about the Amazon thing. Is shopping at the airport an option?

beans Really glad to hear your dad enjoyed Sunday lunch.

I'm having my first period post-DD2 and it is hellish. DH took a day off to look after the girls and I have been so grumpy and shouty at him for doing it all wrong Blush. Am off to bed with a hot water bottle in a mo. Oh and DD1 wants a scalextrix for Christmas Hmm. We watched a Peppa Pig Christmas episode where George gets one and she has talked of little else. DH has one that I bought him one year (it has been played with twice I think, still in the box!) so he wants to wrap it for her. I'm not sure as we've already got her a Dolls house and other bits. I suppose at 3 they don't know the cost of stuff. Still it seems too much to me. That that she'd be able to play with it on her own, really it would be for DH (again)! Oh well, we'll see.

VagolaJahooli · 29/11/2011 19:10

JB I've got pretty much all the presents I need to get for family back home though will be having a little shop at schipol airport as it is my fav airport for spending money. It was just I saw DBs DS with a schleich Spinosaurus for his birthday and my 2 love dinosaurs esp those particular ones so I ordered it and an allosaurus for a sintaklaas pressie. Anyhoo, the Spinosaurus may get there in time and they managed to cancel the allosaurus and I have purchased one of those from a shop here, though for slightly more. Good news is, the trunki boosterpaks arrived a few minutes ago Hooray and the last few purchases are being sent directly to my mum so that's easy.

Had a sesh with PT today first since being down with the lurgy. I thought because I had been sick he might go easy on me, but clearly he wants me to get value for money as he pushed me really hard. I'm tired but I feel good for it. Also he is going to weigh me on Friday which has given me the incentive not too put back on what I lost while I had my cold. Just eating light tonight. However, a friend gave me a pack of whittards hot chocolate selection to say thank-you for looking after her son recently while she was sick. So I might have one instead of my cup of tea tonight, and with low fat milk.

Trace heard anything from the 2nd viewing person, and how was todays viewing. Right better go eat my rashions.

ZuleikaJambiere · 29/11/2011 22:15

So many viewings Trace, any news from them yet? And how is P doing, poor love. Completely agree with you on Heinz tomato soup, and it has to be with white sliced bread to dunk (normally I am a bit of a bread snob, but with tomato soup, or fish finger sandwiches for that matter, only white sliced will do)

Sybs I think it's hilarious that nursery report back on where DS poos Grin. Happy birthday to him for Thursday, and also to MissJump

Jolly I've emailed you too, quite excited about it! Could you save the scalectrix for another occasion? I'm worried we've gone OTT on birthday/Christmas pressies as there seems to be loads, but lots are cheapies (plastic handbag, fairy wand, the 'squirty gun' water pistol for 75p which is the only thing DD wants - I have no idea where she got that idea from). Like you say, they don't understand value right now, but I think she will understand if there's a giant pile of presents. Hmmm, what to do?

Vaj are you going to keep going with the PT after your hols, or did you say it was just to get you in shape for them? You must be super slinky now

VagolaJahooli · 29/11/2011 22:46

I have 16 sessions and by Friday will have only used 8 so will get back into it again when I get back. I'm hoping to keep up at least some running while away (though the heat might make that tricky), so hopefully I will just pick up where I left off, rather than the other possibility, which is having to work off too much of mums cooking.
