Chul- lol at the salesperson!

Memphis- I exfoliated it again in the bath and I've opened up the spot, it's quite slimy and I think I can see the hair but will have a look in daylight as it's hard to see at that angle.

Stac- I might do that if I can't get it out but as the spot has opened it would prob hurt putting cream on an open wound.

memphis83 · 06/09/2011 21:47

dh put the cream on that you put on Dylans bum if he gets a rash so it doesnt dry out that wont sting it, I felt a bit ill reading its quite slimy! now the slime is out hopefully it wont be so painful.

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/09/2011 07:03

Sorry only just got that last post! It just feels like a dry spot now rather than shiny and full of liquid. I think the hair is still trapped though.

Dh is working late tonight so I'm going over my mums. Had a bad night last night. D woke at 1 and was up alot after that

WhatSheSaid · 07/09/2011 07:15

I'm off out to the pub quiz in an hour, I'm knackered though, A woke last night wanting a wee, so that was fine, but I was just getting back to sleep when G woke up and decided to piss around for a couple of hours - at 2 in the morning Hmm. She wasn't even upset, she just wanted to giggle and hold my hand. It was all very cute but not at 2am...

Rugby world cup starts here in 2 days, dh is off to the first England game on Saturday, it's at the other end of the country so he's flying there on Friday. I couldn't care less about rugby but he loves it so he's pretty excited.

Chulita · 07/09/2011 08:21

Between them they were up 6 times between 10 and 5.15, L has been awake since then and is currently an hour into a tantrum about eating 3 shreddies...I just want her to finish her breakfast. It's 3 fucking shreddies and I'm not going to let her get down til they're gone but man alive she's making such a fuss about it, all dribbling/crying etc. I'm so pissed off with her right now.

stac the roofing's not done yet, still going. That's great that R likes nursery, makes things a lot easier for you!

Good luck finding a present memphis.

wss I hate the random wakings at night, sometimes they can be so adorable but it's hard to appreciate it :)

Trudyla · 07/09/2011 10:15

Gosh, I don't envy you your nights chulita and wss.

Woodlands · 07/09/2011 11:02

morning all!

wss lucky your DH!

dh keep at it, you'll get the hair out eventually...

chuilta that doesn't sound fun.

trudyla hope your mood perks up.

First swimming lesson of term this morning - J seems to have gone off swimming a bit. We took him on Sunday and he just wanted to climb out of the pool and crawl round the outside. He kept doing that again today, but seemed to enjoy at least some of it.

CakeandRoses · 07/09/2011 12:18

grumpy as hell having spent the morning doing the devilish 3 Cs: Chores, Childcare around Calls with management.

can i join wss, chul and dh in the shagged corner? i am also fucked after A being up most of the night teething and then F waking us up early (and then promptly going back to sleep once we were awake, grrrr!)

will post properly when i'm more cheerful and have some time.

hope you all have a good day.

tsc that's brilliant news, go Franks and go dp!

We went to a children's centre today, they've finally re-opened Grin Now both of them are asleep but I'll wake L in a bit or she won't sleep tonight. It's so much easier when they get worn out without running me ragged.

trudy hah! not sure when they grow out of tantrums, with L it's a bit easier though because she understands what's going on.

I'm debating putting L in nursery for a couple of mornings. Although L's still very clingy, I think it would do her the world of good. I feel like a) she's outgrown some of the groups we go to and b) she could do with a friend or two her age. I might have another look at how much it'll cost and see if we can afford it.

memphis83 · 07/09/2011 14:02

tsc will she be bribed into the uniform or does that not work with her? What is Kate going to do? is she going to college or sixth form?
chulita will remember not to feed L shreddies if his breakfast isnt gone in 20 mins I get impatient!
trudyla im 28 and I still have the odd tantrum! Grin

Ive been to one of the support group womens house, just us two, I didnt eat before as we always do cakes and biscuits then a small lunch, she cooks a small curry feast, she did nothing today I was so hungry she could hear my belly roll but she said she hadnt got any food in, ive eaten 6 crumpets and im still hungry, although it may be that I ate them so quickly that my brain hasnt processed it yet!

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/09/2011 14:18

One consolation of D being up alot in the night is he sleeps longer in the day. He's been asleep for over an hour now.

Not sure what to do when he wakes up, I want to take him out but the weather is pants.

Chulita · 07/09/2011 15:36

S had an hour's nap compared to his usual 3 hours so he's going to be a right grump all afternoon. I've just prepared garlic and sundried tomato stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon with couscous salad for tea, just have to cook it in a couple of hours.

memphis 6 crumpets? that's loads!

dh you decided on somewhere to go? L is begging me to go out in the garden but S drives me crazy outside so I keep fobbing her off. Not fair really but I get so fed up of chasing S around and L won't play out there on her own.

memphis83 · 07/09/2011 16:13

chulita I know its loads but I was soooo hungry and hadnt eaten anything at all before 1, I still feel hungry thought! Ive cooked a bolognaise for tea and totally cleaned the kitchen, I have so many cupboards and when we move next year we will be getting more rooms but smaller in scale, I dont know what to do with all the stuff I cant see how I can scale down what we have!
DH will be back at 6, the weather has been shocking and ive bought all my plants for my pots but its too awful to do them!

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/09/2011 16:31

I took him to the park and we fed the ducks. It's hard to know what to do we just mooched around after that then came home so we were only out an hour.

I hate this time of the day it's just hanging around waiting to do dinner and D gets restless, bored, tired and hungry and dh won't be gone til late.

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/09/2011 16:32

That should says dh won't be home til late.

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/09/2011 16:32

Say...

Chulita · 07/09/2011 19:21

memphis I meant it was loads to still feel hungry afterwards! I'm lucky in that our last kitchen was minute with no cupboards, this one is a kitchen/utility room with quite a bit of space and the house we've bought has a large 'farmhouse' size kitchen Grin can't wait!

dh that's my least favourite part of the day too. This on the other hand is probably my most favourite of all :)

She's 3 in Nov so will be eligible in Jan. With the army nursery we get 18 hours, not a very good-looking nursery but at this age she won't care what it looks like as long as the staff are kind.

Woodlands · 07/09/2011 19:55

mmm wine o'clock Wine

Poor J faceplanted on the edge of a table this evening and cut his lip with his teeth - there was blood dripping out of his mouth, it was grim. But it was amazing how quickly he perked up and forgot about it, and he didn't seem to mind BFing at bedtime (only 20 mins or so later), I thought it would be sore.

memphis83 · 07/09/2011 20:15

chul I literally hoovered them up I was eating 2 before the next 2 were ready to eat, so it was because I had eaten them to quickly to register, I felt bloated after, but then I still managed garlic doughballs and spaghetti! Our kitchen is really big at the moment I really cant wait to move to a smaller one but just dont know how I will fit everything, this one is all intergrated but set up in a really rubbish way, it doesnt flow properly and the place for the table is small.
Had a bath, L in bed and dh out walking the dog, ive got work tomorrow, dont really fancy it with the weather being so bad!

CakeandRoses · 07/09/2011 20:20

i had to wake both my two up to get lunch down them before F's music class. why do they always sleep longer when you need them up for a certain time Hmm

Feels like a real milestone as F stayed at the music class on his own today as he's nearly 3. he was great and v happy there but i was so tired and braindead I got mixed up with the end time and collected him 15 mins late Shock Blush

it was all fine but i felt like such a shit mother.

chul i sooo remember that feeling of not wanting to chase round after F when pg with A. total inertia.

nursery sounds like a good idea. i really don't know how you've managed without a break this long tbh. F LOVES nursery - he just sees it as somewhere he goes to play and catch up with his friends.

your dinner sounds great even to me!

dh i used to hate that time of day too when I just had F but weirdly don't even notice it now. we tend to always be out until right before i need to cook them dinner.

I so can't believe F's sleep now tsc, tis like a different boy. do you feel miles better?

trudy such good news about M settling with the nanny!! really pleased for you.

small success here is that A hasn't asked for a dream feed for 2 nights in a row. hoorah! I will be strong and not give it to her from now on as i know she doesn't need it (she's having a really long and boring morning feed now instead tho)

dh is away over night tomo - that will be fun Hmm esp if A starts demanding a dream feed.

i would have been gutted at the curry-no-show too memph. don't blame you for hoovering crumpets!

poor J, woodlands hope he;s fine in the morning

Cake must be something in the air as L hasn't fed during the last 2 nights either. I still can't sleep though even with dh (and his sling) in the spare room :(
