CakeandRoses · 04/09/2011 16:07

Sorry for delay vik how is he now? I'd keep him off fruit/juice for now as they'll go straight thru him. Plain stuff like crackers, toast or rice would be best. Has he got a temperature?

Thanks cake, hes had some mash and beans just now, that went down ok. I'll still offer him his milk tonight so we shall see what tomorrow brings. It couldnt happen on a worse week as i have the chairman and my boss coming on wednesday so a really important week at work!
Hows everyone else?

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/09/2011 18:00

The zoo was cancelled because it rained so we went to FIL house, then onto my mums for some lunch so still a good day.

vik it does sound like teeth to me too, have you got ashton and parsons teething powder? Thats supposed to help settle their tummy too.

MelissaM · 04/09/2011 19:18

We were going to the zoo today too which would also have been cancelled due to rain if I hadn't had to meet dh at a&e. He came off his push bike and ended up in an ambulance on a spinal board. Was worried that he'd damaged his spine but thankfully he's been lucky and only broken his collar bone although his back is v painful. How inconsiderate! There are 3 nursery runs, I'm already working an extra day as well as dental appointments and jabs this week already without having to take him to the fracture clinic. Mil is going to help where she can luckily as nursery is an hr in the opposite direction from my work.

Sorry for me me me post. Will catch up properly later. Oh and whoever mentioned hv Hmm f'ing useless as haven't called me back since having meltdown on phone to them in June. Will write things down though - good idea

MelissaM · 04/09/2011 19:19

vik a & p powders are great. Even help L with his ears and upset tummy from abx

Woodlands · 04/09/2011 19:27

oh no melissa, what a scare! Glad he is OK.

memphis83 · 04/09/2011 19:45

vikI agree with the powders, really relieves their tummy but L is still shitting for Europe, bright horrid acidy blurgh! He grinds his gums all the time and juts his jaw out, and he wont eat a thing, in desperation I took him ot mums tonight as he will do anything for her and he would only eat yoghurt so he just wants cold in his mouth.
dh you cant go doctors with an ingrown hair, hot flannel, or a plaster over night with a big blob of antiseptic cream then in the morning it will just push out, youve given birth woman it cant be that bad! Oh and this is the prime example why I will never wax, nothing more sexy that ingrown hairs Grin
cakes show sounds good, DH has promised the Lion King for my birthday so im happy!
mellissa bloody hell, thats rubbish for you as he will struggle to do stuff to help you, Ive done my collar bone and its not nice for a couple of weeks!

My friends surprise party was lovely he really didnt have a clue, but we were waiting for him to return and he had decided to take his time and treat his boys to a happy meal and a uick trip to the fair so he was late arriving! I was too scared to drink as I didnt want to throw up again, I had 3 glasses of wine was sober but still feely dodgy, maybe drinking doesnt agree with me anymore! been to air show today and shopping but everything I wanted they didt have, bought L a garage for xmas in JL with some of the vouchers and some new animal books, today he said Starkey!!! well darkey and he said dog for the first time!He also kissed my nephew and sat on his lap after a year of screaming if he so much as twitched his foot! But he did sit in the dog bed with a brush to protect him for ages before he braved moving towards him!

WhatSheSaid · 04/09/2011 21:12

melissa that's bad about your dh. Glad you are going to drs (for you), good for you.

tsc great about F's sleeping, hope he keeps it up.

G has 12 teeth! I noticed 2 more molars halfway through, that means she has a total of 5 teeth partially through at the moment, thankfully she doesn't seem to suffer too much with them. She is sleeping through and even sleeping till 6.30 (that's classified as a Lie In in our house).

And on the tantrum front, I was out with A yesterday and while we were gone G had a tantrum for 30 minutes non stop because dh took the remote control off her Shock

viksam · 05/09/2011 08:28

wss thats a lot of teeth almost through at once, good job she doesnt suffer with them! The tantrum sounds impressive, how do u deal with them usually?
dh memph melissa Im using Nelsons teething powders as i thing the ingredience are the same and i prefer the way they are wrapped, i find the a&p ones well fiddly. Hes been really upset and out of sorts this morning dh got him up at 6.20 and his nappy had leaked into his sleeping bag...thank god for sleeping bags!! He had 5oz of milk and some dyralite and is now nibbling on some toast with a scraping of penut butter so thats good, if he keeps it down. Might phone the docs again today, its been going on for a while now.
melissa I know its a shame for ur dh but u needed that like a hole in the head im sure, poor him but poor you having to cope with everything! I hope ur mil can help, make sure u let her!
DH have u picked it yet?? i find it funny how we are all interested in ur ingrowing hair! I wana see it, is that really wrong!!!hahaha!!
memph Id like a garage for D for xmas, dad made my brother an ace garage, wish he'd make D one, i have asked him to make a toy chest for D, one that he can keep forever and take with him when he moves out and stuff, im hoping he has done it for when they come at the weekend.
Whilst i've been typing this D has eaten a half round of toast, thats really good going, hmmmmmm, think im going to follow him around with the sick bowl and muslims for the rest of the morning!

WhatSheSaid · 05/09/2011 08:38

I ignore the tantrums vik. Best way to deal with them I reckon. Unless she's actually physically hurting herself by flinging herself around on the floor. Am a bit worried about what she'll be like at 2 if she's like this now...

MalibuStac · 05/09/2011 18:22

Wow very quiet on her!

viks how's D?

melissa how's DH?

dh how's the hair? After telling you what to do I ended up with one on my flange, burst the bugger so its all better.

tsc when can I hire daddy day care?

cakes what mint choc creation did you make?

wss amazing how such small people work themselves into a tizzy, I agree about ignoring.

R enjoyed nursery so we're back tomorrow. I'm currently in bed with a headache/cold thing.

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/09/2011 18:51

Hi all I've got my new iPhone! Sorry I haven't read posts yet I'm trying out the mn app.

memphis83 · 05/09/2011 19:42

viksam was D sick? I use nelsons as well as its easier to take out in the bag without them opening up!
dhis away tomorrow, ive felt really teary all day, not sure why then I went in Clarkes as I really want some shoes for L with buckles and the startrites are all out of stock locally and clarkes dont do buckles, I asked why as they have lots of girls t bars and she said for ease of getting them on so I picked some velcro ones, they are the cruisers but I prefer them at the mo as they are soft, the soles seem so think on the walkers and even though they had his size as he was walking she point blank refused to sell them me, I ended up crying and taking refuge in Greggs
I will come back when I dont feel like a teary twat

CakeandRoses · 05/09/2011 20:26

have you got pmt memph? doesn;t sound like you.

how's D doing
hope you feel better soon stac. great news that R's liking nursery

how're you feeling chul?

all ok there mlic?

haven't had a mo to concoct my choc mint potion yet.

just got A's first pair of shoes today - will load a pic when i get a mo. she's so pleased with them altho not as excited about them as she was about the cat's food earlier (ten mins of pointing at it, exclaiming "CAT!", bending down pretending to eat it and then pissing herself laughing - and repeat) Hmm

it;s our 2nd anniversary today. i bought dh a maffis bar of his fave whole nut, slit the wrapper open underneath the fold and put in a voucher i'd designed which is for a 'dirty night away' Grin (he is desperate for us to have a night off together) and then put a sticker on the wrapper saying "Have you won a Love Voucher?". He was happy with it anyway Smile

had a nice day out with a friend and her DCs earlier - had a picnic and then went to a petting farm thingy.

how is everyone else?

cakes I dont have periods so no PMT

viksam · 05/09/2011 21:10

memp Hope ur feeling less teary now, shit about dh going away and shit that clarkes wouldnt sell u the shoes u wanted the cheeky gits, who are they to say what he can and can't wear, thats bad man. D was sick yesterday but not today, he hasnt had a nappy since 9ish this morning, he didnt eat anything for lunch but he ate quite well at tea but still only had about 2oz milk before bed. Hes been quite bright this afternoon, still very clingy and whingey but better than he has been so im really hoping he has turned a corner, we'll see. Im not going to work tomorrow but really could do with going on wednesday so lets hope hes better.
cake the voucher idea is lovely, my dh has done something similar in the past for nights out. A sounds so funny, i love it when they make them selves laugh.
stac sorry to hear ur not well, hope u feel better soon.

MelissaM · 05/09/2011 22:07

Thanks ladies. Yea I needed this like a hole in the head but got to deal with it. I've managed to survive on about 2 hrs sleep and do a 9 hr day at work. Now up with L as he's really unsettled tonight.[laughs hysterically then carries in rocking in the corner muttering "it will get better.. it will get better..."] Mil actually being really helpful so far, but didn't leave until 9.20pm. At least nursery bags were done for tomorrow and she made my lunch too Grin Dh days the pain isn't do bad today but he is keeping up with the pain killers. He doesn't want to keep taking them as he is paranoid about them being addictive. I think they're tremodol and warn if withdrawal symptoms after taking them for only a week!

Still trying to catch up with you all and really want an early night hahaha

MalibuStac · 05/09/2011 22:08

Awk I'm ok just moaning I'm the shittiest patient ever Smile

memph all ok hun (I know we're not allowed hun on minute but feck it) you still under the weather?

cakes I laughed at A pretending to eat cat food and she does look very proud of her pretty shoes.

viks hopefully that's D on th mend. How have you been?

Woodlands · 05/09/2011 22:30

Poor Melissa's DH. I have a FB friend whose 18 month old just broke his collar bone yesterday, poor mite - must be so hard for a baby not understanding why they're in pain.

Love the picture of A's new shoes, Cake, and the dress she has on!

Memphis, that is a bit rubbish about the shoes. I know several people who have bought cruising shoes for their walking toddlers as they prefer the softer soles. I keep wondering whether to buy J some of the cruising shoes when the weather gets a bit colder for crawling around in the nursery garden in. I might leave it six weeks or so and maybe he'll be walking by then anyway.

My ingrown hair is still living it large in my pubic area, I'm going to the docs about it just need to ring them for an app.

Tax I am glad that F is sleeping better, I don't think cc is something that would work for us but I'm happy it did for u. D slept from half 7 til half 5 then back to sleep til half 6 so I can't really complain.

memphis83 · 06/09/2011 07:56

dh what have you done to get rid of it? has it put you off waxing?
cakes L babbles then laughs his head off too, so sweet!
woodlands something I think is that would be good for nursery and its a lot cheaper is Skidders they are thick socks with a really flexible rubber sole, they sell them on ebayL has got a pair, he lives them, we use them around the house as it promoote natural foot movement, then the feet would be protected.
melissa could he just have tramadol before bed so he sleeps better, the are really strong to be taking every 4 hours, I only take half and im incoherent for a whole day, so naturally I cant take things like that now I cant sit in bed drooling all day! Grin

Feel a lot better today, dh has gone away and the weather isreally bad here, strong winds and bad rain.
Ive got a fanjo problem but im not going doctors with it, spent enough time having L getting it out, just ignoring and until it goes away or my lips fall off Grin

viksam · 06/09/2011 08:07

tsc wow thats amazing sleep, and this is in his own cot in his own room? How do u feel after all the time of him being in with you, it must feel very weird. I can identify with the jobs that need doing, men just dont see them.......or is it can't/wont??
DH thats also a good sleep, is he in his own room now?
woods they are so expensive though, have u got a brantano near u, we got our clarkes for £11 instead of £21! dh chose them and im not keen but D seems to like them.
I have a bonus day with D today and so far so good, hes done little solid poo and eaten some breakfast! I've never been so happy to see solid poo!! what our worlds have come to! The weather is horrific though so god knows what we will do, might be brave and get the paints out!

memphis83 · 06/09/2011 08:22

Have I missed something regarding mlic where has she gone? all her posts have been withdrawn!
