Grin Spring! DD has started to blow on her food copying me doing it!

NoHunIntended · 03/09/2011 22:04

Trib, YESSSS, and I want all six, but DH has reined me in as at last count we have 53 nappies, so until we get a new baby, no new nappies. Poor me! :)

Hope your BFing goes ok and you are all healed soonest.

tf, I do love Liberty, if we have four girls, maybe I'll name the fourth Liberty. :) I like Hunter, but being vegan, it's a little bit opposite to what we're about! :)

:( No words really, about babies who die. There's a MNetter who lost her baby last week, I was in tears reading her thread, haven't posted on her thread yet, I should, but what can you say. :(

Haven't watched HIMYM, but we are huge BBT fans here - DH can actually sing the theme tune - I haven't quite managed to master all the fast words!

Spring, DS gets my nipple in his mouth and blows raspberries on it - most amusing! :)

busyprocrastinating · 04/09/2011 10:50

nohun is the millennium series any good? Have you read the books? I've bought the first 1 ages ago but I'm not sure if I'll like it.

trib I sometimes watch how I met your mother I really didn't like it at first but it has definitely grown on me.
We love big bang theory though. Sheldon is so funny. I used to have the biggest crush on the guy who plays Leonard when I was a teen and he was in Roseanne Blush

Had a really bad night here. It was like having a newborn again as we were up with dd that many times. Can see on fb that we weren't alone.

mock loving your new piccies- so cute!

How cute with the blowing too. Dd was blowing her wheatabix whilst looking at me as if I am a terrible mother for not doing it for her. If she wants her bubbles she points to the bottle and blows.

HarrietJones · 04/09/2011 11:42

We had a good night but after a week of bad ones so think we deserved it!

We've just got S2 of BBT, dd3 loves dancing to the theme tune. Claps at 'we build the pyramids'

tiredfeet · 04/09/2011 11:54

yes I love Big bang theory, and the theme tune is great! ds's favourite programe is simpsons though. we try not to have the tv on much with him, but dh likes to put this on when we get home from work/ nursery, and ds finds it hilarious for some reason.

Abfab good point, Hunter not really a vegan name Grin

MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/09/2011 12:05

I am really into Medium at the moment. It is all I am watching :)
Names I like are still,
Jasper
Noah

We don't time have time for much tv viewing. The only thing I watch with any committment is Casulty. It's fierce sometimes though and I feel really stressed. I actually don't know why I watch it!

Right, seven weeks 'til half term...

HarrietJones · 04/09/2011 13:31

I'm watching medium when dh is at work. Lovefilm iscseding me season 6 at the moment.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/09/2011 13:37

Grin SF already on the count down.
HJ I used to be with Blockbuster, they do a similar system like Lovefilm but we stopped it. I really want to buy the Medium box sets! :)

bp, the Millennium Trilogy is AWESOME. Literally awesome - female lead really rocks. I won't say any more as I don't want to give anything away. I haven't read the books. I barely get any time to read - a few snatched moments here and there - don't think I could manage a novel with DS about!

Two stores in our town have bubble machines blowing bubbles out of the shop - DS was loving them yesterday. So cute to watch him trying to catch them.

tf (:) at old name!) - unless he was a Treasure Hunter! That could work! :)

Went to a three-year-old's party today, and it was brilliant - DS loved it, he had such a great time, bouncing on the bouncy castle, playing with the other children, and new toys. And he loves balloons. I felt really happy, looking forward to lots of parties with him.

HarrietJones · 04/09/2011 18:34

Bubble machine half price in ELC. Dd1 got one for dd3 for her birthday

TribbleWithoutACause · 04/09/2011 19:18

Nohun Well if you aren't so fond of some of your current stash, you could always sell a few on. Thats what I do, if I'm not using it I tend to sell it on and get something we will use. Theres three of them I want, they're cute and we haven't had any leaks with them.

NoHunIntended · 05/09/2011 11:02

Ah thanks, Trib, am happy with all the ones we have, and am not bothered about selling and swapping - but good idea if you like change! I bought most of mine to last from birth to potty, and I think I'll stick with them (unless I win the lottery!).

Thanks re bubble machine idea, HJ! Hm! :)

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 05/09/2011 11:06

Aah, blissful nights sleep. Forgot to set the alarm and woke at 0845. DD woke minutes later. Smile

TribbleWithoutACause · 05/09/2011 13:14

Nohun I do like ours, sometimes DS goes through funny periods where he won't fit in a particular one or he starts having issues with some of them. So I like to change according to where he is at the current moment. Although my bumgenius have never let us down yet though. Can't be said for some of our rumparooz though.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 05/09/2011 15:06

ARGHHH! Going back to work on 3 Oct. I applied for accommodation in August and have just chased them and they said I was No 11 on the waiting list! I said that I could not move into singlies accommodation as I have a baby. I had no choice and they had to find me somewhere to live by 26 Sept. They asked if anyone has spoken to me about substitute service families accommodation (local private rental they find for you if there are no military quarters available). I said no but I'd be happy to go with that and they said it takes 8 weeks! I don't have 8 weeks. I pointed out again that my DH is away and I need to start work with my baby settled into the childminders by the end of September. I said I could not leave DD with anyone whilst waiting for accommodation as a. I don't want to leave her, b, she's breastfed and c, there's no one that could have her for such an undefinable period of time. The woman I spoke to said she would have to speak to her boss and get back to me.

tiredfeet · 05/09/2011 17:38

Oh mock how infuriating! Will keep all fingers and toes crossed for you that they sort it, and soon.

Am very excited, having pizza tonight for the first time in six months, as ds now weaned. Going to make him some dairy free baby pizzas on his special bread I think.

NoHunIntended · 05/09/2011 17:59

Only have one Rumpa, and it's been great so far.

Mock, what a pain! Hope you get it sorted soon.

Pizza, mmmmmmmmmm, I LOVE pizza! Doing roast tonight though, have all the food in, and didn't do it yesterday as we were out at the party.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 05/09/2011 18:18

Ratatouille with roasted potatoes for dinner followed by blueberries.

TF have you heard of Balneum? Its a medicated bath soak my grandmother recommended for DD to help with her itching skin from the chicken pox. My grandmother and I both have eczema and its brilliant stuff. DD was totally soothed by it. Its not cheap about £10 but is also available on prescription.

HarrietJones · 05/09/2011 18:26

Grrr on your behalf mock!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 05/09/2011 18:42

Thank you all for the empathetic frustration. Frustrayion No2 this evening I have stupidly got myself into a situation of no clean pjs for DD so we're waiting for them to dry at the moment before bathtime. Considering she's only had one 45 min nap today, she's pretty perky.

One problem I have over finding somewhere to live if its not military accommodation is dog friendly rental.

TribbleWithoutACause · 05/09/2011 19:47

We're having pizza .

Mock How bloddy annoying!!!

Back to work tomorrow, I'm hoping that they have themselves in forward gear. I've been thinking about it today, ever since I've gone back all I've heard is 'oh it's just the way it is' and 'well what can you do' etc etc. It's making me feel quite angry, makes me want to become a union rep and make posters and stuff.

Anyway, heres something fun. This time last year, I was regretting boogying at my friends wedding. Mock You were eating bran muffins, Ty was getting her BP checked, Nohun You had trouble getting out of the bath and had some toe hooking tap manover to get you out, HJ You were waiting for the MW to come and see you and TF couldn't get her boots on, so her DH had to help.

Brings back memories. Smile

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 05/09/2011 20:23

Smile Tribble. I don't remember NoHun getting stuck in the bath!

I feel really quite depressed about the whole work thing. Its going to be an almighty palaver having to relocate, get DD into childcare etc etc and the job is only for 6 months and I do not know what is happening after that. The whole housing thing is making me feel just great.

HarrietJones · 06/09/2011 11:51

It's not the work that's the problem is it mock , it's the other stuff. I'm in discussion with payroll/tax office as someone may have messedup my PAYE. If they have I owe loads of tax
payroll is on my speed dial I've had that many mistakes in the last 18m.
