The dress won't be as short as it looks as the model is 5ft 10. (Only reason I know that is because I bought a dress she was modeling and its just above my knee) but it is quite sheer a decent bra will set you back a bit they have gorgeous dresses on there. How's your nephew?

Dythlan it doesn't make you soud like a bad mum I'm looking for a job as sometimes I only feel like mum iyswim

I have half a mojo back, tan done, lash tint, brows done and defuzzed everywhere. Wonder if I will pull it off tomorrow, looking forward to it now Smile

you better not be trying to arrange a covert trip to centerparcs with mlic, tsc Angry Grin

chul i couldn't click on that link quick enough after reading the comments about the dress. Too short, too see-thru, too clingy, one-shouldered, breasts might pop out... Can i suggest something with a little more restraint like this frock?

Grin

anyway, i have no idea why you thought it a good idea to ask us lot about a dress after tsc's penisgate last time.

it's actually a lovely dress and my fave colour. i might buy it myself.

on the subject of pies (about to construct mine)...

  • best type of dish?
  • pastry base and lid or just lid?

tis lentil and veg btw, on the dry side (in a good way)

i reck your fam might eat it tsc, as it's dry for C, rabbit food for dp, veggie for K, not pasta or rice for you and is chunky and filling for F. I have no actual idea why i'm so obsessed with feeding your family lately Hmm

Chulita · 19/05/2011 20:39

Grin cake I think I might get it and try it, won't hurt - only prob is I'd then have to ask advice on shoes [completely style-less emoticon]

If the pie filling is slightly on the dry side I'd stick to just one or other base/top and I use a glass pie dish (charity shop cheapo) but I like the way the pastry cooks in glass.

cake I like pie in a glass dish too although I have my Le Crusett one that I still havent used, would love the recipe by the way!!
tsc so what did you find out regarding booze today? have you spoken to dp about it?
chulita I like the dress and you can send it back if you dont like it.

things I have learnt from being on here....
I think I am terribly messed up some days but reading real truths from you guys helps rather than clear lies about all the other mums we meet with their babies being great sleepers, eaters etc, without hearing about all of the bad nights etc fron you lot I would think what is wrong with me/L???

I never thought I would be comfortable talking to women as I do on here, on days that I feel low and beside myself I get so much strength talking to you all!!!

I think being on here has made me a better mum

I am aware now of spellings and grammer I just realise im too lazy when typing to do something about it!

I cant cook cheese sauce. Grin

WhatSheSaid · 19/05/2011 21:39

Hope all is ok re the booze revelation tsc

It's 8.30am and I'm barely functioning Sad. G woke at 4.30am. I tried to get her back to sleep and failed. Dh tried to get her back to sleep and failed. A then woke up so has been up since 5 and looks knackered already. We have all been up since then. Dh is attempting to interview people today for one of the highest positions in one of the biggest mobile phone companies here. We are all wrecked Sad. Gonna have to do something - I think I'm literally going to have to just put in a cot, close the door and leave her, much as I hate the thought of it - I can't go on like this.

Hopefully A will have a snooze in the car later. I am going to have to go to bed as soon as the kids do tonight.

sorry to rant on about it. hope all are well.

CakeandRoses · 19/05/2011 21:49

eek - totally missed that whole post of yours re revelation tsc. hence why i made the cp crack. Sorry Blush

are you ok? want to talk?

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 19/05/2011 21:54

oh that sounds awful wss Sad. will she sleep if you bring her in with you?

what time does she go down at bedtime and how much daytime sleep does she have?

tsc and memph will give you dal/pie recipes when i have a mo later as i need to work out quantities as they're my own recipes

Hi all,
Just quickly cos its taken me ages to catch up, u lot talk way too much!!
trudyla I feel absolutly fine and normal, some slight tummy ache but nothing else really, the occasional feeling of sickness but nothing to worry about. I said to the MW i kinda wish i had some symptoms just to make it believable. I didnt have any pregnancy ailements at all last time, i just sailed through really, hopeing it will be the same this time!
wws d has been waking at stupid O'clock, this morning 4.50, he wsnt really full on crying but because of his really really sore bottom i needed to check his nappy. He did have a dirty nappy, which i changed then i rocked him for 5 mins and put him back in his cot. He chatted and winged a bit for a while but eventually went off till 7ish. I think to put her back down and leave her is the only think u can do really otherwise she will think its ok to get up at this time and it most certainly is not!!!
Must go to bed, im soooo tired today! will do survey tomorrow.
xx

WhatSheSaid · 19/05/2011 22:02

I dont' really put her into bed with us as it's so high I worry if she's on the outside she'll fall out and I worry if she's in the middle dh will squash her.

She goes to bed at 7pm but I'm going to try holding her out till later to see if it helps. She has 2 daytime sleeps, one abotu 45 mns the other 1 - 1 and a half hours. So about 2 and a quarter maximum in teh daytime. May try to shorten these to get her to sleep better.

It's not just the 4.30am wake up, she'd been up at 9.30, 11.30 and 3 too. If either of us try to resettle her she just gets really really angry. A went through a phase of waking at 5 at this age but would go back to sleep till 6.30ish.

Gonna have to go she's awake from a nap. I think I'm just going to have to let her cry it out at night time. Sad Never thought I would do that Sad.

WhatSheSaid · 19/05/2011 22:03

But it will be Ok in the end, just a phase, just a phase, just a phase...

WhatSheSaid · 19/05/2011 22:04

Even the dog's knackered, he went back to sleep at 7.30 this morning Grin

CakeandRoses · 19/05/2011 22:13

wss it IS a phase and it will end.

naps sound about right. are you feeding her during the night? is she teething?

if you really don't want her to cry it out then i'd try everything else first, but that's just me as i'm a super-wuss and just couldn't do it.

could you get a bed guard so she can go on the outside? tbh, even if she was in the middle she should be ok - instinct stops you rolling on them (except if you're drunk, dh was always banned from the bed if he came home drunk as i knew F would come in our bed later). dh is a really heavy sleeper but has never come close to rolling on our two.

Sorry I missed your post earlier tsc was too busy being self obsessed about mojo. Do you think K could be into your drink? Quite common at her age (here anyway) to be caught drinking. I'm on phone but you can pm if you want.

Wss do you have blackout curtains/blinds in /'s room? If she is teething do you get anbesol there? (Thanks cakes for liquid gold suggestion) if not could one of us send you a bottle?

Viks your so lucky not to have symptoms i but understand why you want some. I am so tempted. To join the gang but we're too skint.

Pies. - here its usually steak with a puff pastry top and no base and lots of gravy. Yum

Chulita I would order it and see how it goes its a bargain you could always wear a slip underneath which primark are doing for about £10 and their strapless.

WhatSheSaid · 20/05/2011 01:11

Thanks for all the suggestions...she does have very thick curtains in her room, not quite blackout but virtually. But it doesn't get light till 7am here at the moment so I don't think it's that.

I did wonder if it's teeth but there are no other symptoms...normally she gets quite clingy in the daytime, feeds loads (bfs), pink cheeks, runny poos, nappy rash.

We don't get Anbesol here I think - it's very very kind of you to think of sending me some stac - lovely thought Smile - I'll try pamol (calpol) and maybe some baby nurofen too and see if maybe that helps. But thanks for offering.

It's jsut that she's wide awake at 4.30 wanting to get up and play. She's knackered again by 8am!

I'll try all these things - shorter naps, keep her up a bit later and give her some pain relief - hopefully something will help. I don't want to have to leave her to cry and cry and cry but we'll have to see how it goes.

tsc had some booze gone and you think K took it? I used to nick my parents booze when I was 16 tbh - meant I had to spend less in the pub! Except all they used to keep in the house was sherry, which was disgusting, so I never nicked that much...maybe that was deliberate on their part...(lightbulb moment).

They're both asleep in the car at the mo thankfully so I have a bit of down time.

Oh and we have water leaking through the ceiling from upstairs bathroom so have had to call a plumber out too. Sigh...

WhatSheSaid · 20/05/2011 03:33

On a brighter note the plumber has been and fixed a small leak in the shower that was causing the water to leak and he only charged 20 quid. So it's not all bad...

Chulita · 20/05/2011 06:42

wss S is doing similar at night, waking a few times and then up at the crack of dawn. He doesn't go back to sleep either so I've been letting him scream for ages before getting up except half the time he wakes L up and then we're all tired. I still feed him overnight when he wakes, every time I debate stopping I just can't bring myself to. I was making him laugh yesterday and noticed his top two are coming through so I won't be doing it yet and that would explain the squitty nappies and wakings.

tsc K's at a prime age for coming home pissed and there are umpteen people in the world willing to buy booze for young'uns. Did she tell you how she got it?

stac glad you're rediscovering your mojo Grin

I've started feeding S a bit later and putting him in bed 30 mins later, been doing that for a week with sod-all difference except the evenings drag more Hmm I've not slept beyond 6 for weeks and not beyond 7 since he was born. I'm soooo glad DH's week of nights is finished, his colleague has been semi-covering him so he's been getting home around 1 or 2 am some nights but factor him crashing around on top of L's waking for 'goo' and S and it's all a bit much for me.

Chulita · 20/05/2011 06:43

Oh, I forgot to say that my nephew is home and is completely weaned off the bottle so is ebf. My brother is totally smitten. Thanks for asking dh! How's D doing?

CakeandRoses · 20/05/2011 07:35

you ok tsc? what's been going on there?

i keep meaning to say stac, sound like you're doing brill reclaiming your mojo and the appt with your doc re weight-loss sounded like progress

culita really lovely to hear that your nephew is doing well and has taken to bf

hot news casa cake is that F has his new drum as he's now slept thru a whole sticker chart's worth of nights. he was so cute and excited about it all this morning. i'm feeling really proud of him Smile

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/05/2011 08:04

chulita thats good! Hes better now thanks, he did another mega poo this morning, really smelly and runny and HUGE!
He seems better in himself though.

We're making cakes and puddings at the cooking group this morning, I hope Dylan is ok in the creche.

Chulita · 20/05/2011 08:52

Envy cakes and puddings are my fave!

I've been putting on weight like a fiend so have just ordered two more dvds, I'm so sick of the first bit of the Shred, I've done it too many times now and never got to level 3 so I thought I'd try a couple of others. I can't go running at the mo because DH is out so much. I'm also laying off the baking/eating - tis a sad, sad day.
