Emigration is still in progress, Trudyla. They're really dragging their feet processing old applications though, and have apparently filled the immigration quota for the first half of this year already, so everything's on hold at the moment. :( I'm starting to get a bit impatient now, we've been waiting for three and a half years for things to even start moving!
Glad to hear everything went well with the scan! :) I hope you manage to find your smile again soon.
If it makes you feel any better about the quiche, for two nights in a row over the weekend I managed to make curries that were inedibly spicy and had to feed M 'emergency pouches' of food from the cupboard.
Meanwhile DH exploded and cremated a batch of brownies all over our oven...
When I stopped BFing back at the start of the year it took about a week before my breasts stopped being painful, and another week before they stopped being engorged, WSS. I used to express a teeny bit, just an ounce or so, when it was really bad.
I can't offer any real tips on the pain as I just tried to ignore it until it went away! However it is loooovely getting your body back again just for you once everything finally settles down.
My hormones finally settled down for the first time since becoming pregnant and I've been finding it much easier to lose weight too.
M hasn't been particularly bothered about any of her vaccinations thus far. A bit put out at the time, and then sleepy for a day or two, but aside from that she's been pretty unaffected. Hopefully MMR will be the same! And this time at least I can console her with chocolate.
Not all great men have annoying families, Cake! I love my inlaws! But I admit that does seem to be the exception...
We use Pampers for M, Stac. She had a mix of Pampers and Huggies when tiny, and had no issues with either, but DH said he didn't like the Huggies as much. Nursery use another brand, not sure which, and M seems fine with those too. She's never had nappy rash (yet), and might possibly have a butt of steel...
Woodlands, I regularly buy boys trousers for M... I get really sick of all the pink, frilly, sparkly stuff for girls and just want a nice pair of plain coloured trousers. I almost wept with joy in M&S the other day when I discovered they were doing packs of plain, brightly coloured short-sleeved vests.
Good luck with the nursery hunt! :) I'm really thrilled with M's nursery. The staff are wonderful and I'm sure she has a much more interesting time there than she ever had with boring me. She grins her head off when DH and I drop her off... Fickle child!
Um... Ok, I think I'm caught up on most things. You all talk too fast!! At least Mumsnet has started working again from my work, which means I don't just have the evenings to catch up and post, so might stand a better chance of not getting left behind.
For now though, I'm going to bed! [dead]
