Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

Love the pram.

Love your surname Ty!

DD slept until 0300 last night then refused to go back to sleep....she wanted to play. Am a tad tired....

HarrietJones · 31/05/2011 16:06

And I thought 11pm was hard last night mocking!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 31/05/2011 20:10

Annoyingly, DD is refusing to go to sleep. I've just dumped her on the floor while I get a cup of vodka Brew and a Biscuit.

sam12 · 31/05/2011 22:54

Mock I felt your pain last night- it was about 3am I finally settled dd back down- she was all smiles and wanting to play. She had 20 minutes nap all day and she finally went to sleep tonight about half past 9. Hope yours is asleep now! I don't know where they get the energy

ILoveGregoryHouse · 31/05/2011 23:06

My retinas have burned with sight of the pram...

sam12 · 31/05/2011 23:34

Would love to see someone traipsing round asda with that pram!

TribbleWithoutACause · 01/06/2011 10:06

Mock Ds was the same last night, he screamed until 9pm then woke up an hour later and didn't go back down until midnight. He still woke up at stupid o'clock as well. .

DH has left me with the grand task of sorting one of the tyres out on the car, he's left me with a tyre pump and vague directions to a nameless garage and said 'you'll be alright won't you' Hmm.

HarrietJones · 01/06/2011 11:40

Ooh ooh ooh it's gooseberry season! My craving isn't as strong but it was difficult not to strip the shop bare this morning.

HarrietJones · 01/06/2011 11:40

Good luck tribble. I'm crap with Tyres Blush

OP posts:
TribbleWithoutACause · 01/06/2011 15:25

I've sorted the tyre out. It was easier than I thought. Maybe I should set myself up as a mechanic Wink.

HarrietJones · 01/06/2011 15:50

I'll give you a callGrin my car at every service is due new Tyres in the next few months. Continuously.4 years on & they ate still going & legal. It's like never ending Tyres.

Tribs, I have a feeling it's quite expensive where you are. Think we may move to Scotland, as DH is from there, and can quite imagine DS with a lovely Scottish accent. :)

That pram is rather ugly!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 01/06/2011 17:44

A stunningly gorgeous policeman has just come to the door asking if I'd seen an accident over the road on Saturday. I hadn't so our encounter was only for a minute....Grin. DD liked him too!

TyNobdieJigz · 01/06/2011 18:14

Hi all, its Sophie's 8 month check tomorrow Has anyone else had one yet? How did it go? Grin

TribbleWithoutACause · 01/06/2011 19:10

HJ Random bit of knowledge but the way to do a quick spot check is to use a twenty pence piece and stick it in the thread of the tyres and if you can still see the inside rim of the coin your tyres may be close to the legal limit. Good for the tyres though, we've just had ours done. I've no idea how long they'd been on the car as we haven't changed them in all the time we've had them. I must admit I've fallen out of my tyre geekery lately.

Ty I had the bookstart pack, I feel the HV round my way are the 'parents are better not seen and not heard' variety.

TyNobdieJigz · 01/06/2011 19:13

My HV's seem quite good atm, but after this check up I have to move doctors to be closer to where I am atm, i didnt want to do it before incase i had to wait ages for her check Grin

HarrietJones · 01/06/2011 20:15

Good tip tribble!

Sorry our bookstart pack was pretty crap apart from we were almost out of toothpaste so that was usefulGrin dd1/2 had some good books in theirs.

We only have one HV , she works 3 days a week & is past retirement but won't go in case they don't replace her(everyone gets that tale)

Nohun- house prices depend on whether you are in the national park or not! I would go to Scotland though if I could, better education & free prescriptionsBlush

TyNobdieJigz · 02/06/2011 09:25

Well got a phone call at 8.20am to cancel dd's appointment Hmm
Im upset, i really wanted to see how she is getting on in their opinion.

NoHunIntended · 02/06/2011 11:49

Great surname, Ty! :) Shame about the appointment today - I am sure she is doing great - there - that's my opinion, and you can have that for free! :) Hope you get a new appointment soon.

DS is eight months next week, I CAN NOT believe where the time has gone. He is like a little toddler now, no longer a baby baby!

Inside the park sounds good, Harriet. I do fancy Scotland (although the Grand Designs we watched last night was in Scotland, and it looked blimmin' freezing!). I also fancy Cornwall, for the surf. Not that I am very good, but nice to start DS off young, what a lovely lifestyle.

HarrietJones · 02/06/2011 12:34

Nohun-We are outside & 10mins from the beach , 10 mins from the lakes I really like it here!

Ty- how annoying. If it's any consolation our check didn't fulfil on the 'how they are doing front'

Just taken me 30 mins to get in here , I couldn't access any post natal threads Confused just off out to soft play with dd2 & dd3. Picking up dd2s friend soon

NoHunIntended · 02/06/2011 19:28

I'd like to be by a surfy beach AND with forest and hills too. Maybe I should just live in a caravan and travel around.

TyNobdieJigz · 02/06/2011 20:32

Thanks HJ, they have just tried to rearrange, they want it now to be at my house, as in my mums as they dont know Ive moved yet, I really prefer just going to the surgery! What is it with HV having to make sure they come to your house Hmm
It means my mum will have to sit upstairs with her dogs for the entire visit.

TribbleWithoutACause · 02/06/2011 21:31

NoHun I have checked, round these parts there is wind surfing. I don't imagine it is much of a leap to do actual surfing. Although, if you wish the beach bum lifestyle I would heartily recomend Cornwall. We went a few years back (DH fitted right in, I just looked like a pale faced loony) and it was brilliant. Actually my friend actually used to come to work in her camper van and then go and park up somewhere, run over some random mountain and then sleep there overnight.

DS went to the childminders for the first time today, it is now count down time to going back to work Sad. Oh well, typically DS loved it. I came back to him laughing at the childminder and acting as if Christmas had come early.

Oh well, c'est la vie.

Oh well, I can look forward to freaking out one of my stranger male colleges with my birth story and breastfeeding woes. I can imagine it now, Odd bod: 'yeah it was really bad Tribs, I don't know how I coped', Me: 'oh well, if you think that was bad you should have seen my face when they brought out the forceps. They were HUGGGEEEEEEE!. My friend told me she's been looking forward to my return for months so she can witness said moment.

NoHunIntended · 02/06/2011 22:57

Bless you, Tribs. Might look into it! Not making any real plans just yet, it's all dependent on DH's job. We'll see.

Am so glad for you that your DS liked his time at the CMs. Phew.

How long til you are back at work?

HarrietJones · 02/06/2011 23:06

There's also kite surfing
