Eek it's going so fast!

Well my night out has been cancelled so it's not an urgent rush round the shops but we are going to have z look for some summery clothes anyway.

Ty- I was Elsa. My profile pic is the spaniel. I'm trying to work out who is who. I have NoHun that was easy and BP because she started me off. I know Tribble having met her but I'm a bit lost on the others.

Sea is that you with the pointer and the red haired children?

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 28/07/2011 15:51

I also know who Ty is! Great name Smile.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 28/07/2011 15:53

And silver.

SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 28/07/2011 16:16

Yes :) whoever has sussed it all please pm me as I am a bear if very little brain!

What gorgeous families we've all got Grin

NoHunIntended · 28/07/2011 16:46

I believe I know who is who. Shall I email you all on Fb, so we can refer to it easily if we forget?

Where is ILGH? Hope she is ok - not been here in ages.

SeaShellsMyDogSmells · 28/07/2011 16:56

Yes please!

I've been wondering about Ilgh, was se not returning to work?

NoHunIntended · 28/07/2011 17:24

Done!

I think so! And she had all the faff of settling back here in the UK.

And yes - all lovely, though most of you are slack on the old photos front, so I haven't been able to be too nosey!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 28/07/2011 18:51

Oh thanks Mock, I was worried we had lost you, looks like it was just me who lost you Grin
I am missing ILGH too.
Thanks for the list pm NoHun :)

TribbleWithoutACause · 28/07/2011 19:03

Nohun Can you pm me that list as well, I have no idea who people are. I've just gone off of who you've added in the last day or so.

I am so tired, I've been concentrating all day (on a course), it all went a bit wrong towards the end of the day but my instructor was ok about it (as I didn't damage anything (don't ask)). Well tomorrow is another day and it will all be fine.

DS is trying to lift himself onto all fours, he's ready to crawl. He can move pretty quickly rolling though. At the childminders he tried to roll through the activity tunnel, obviously didn't work but bless him for trying.

TribbleWithoutACause · 28/07/2011 19:12

Also I need some advice, I really don't know what to do.

DS is due for going up into his next car seat soon, but we have a three door clangershedmobile so it kind of makes things difficult. Do I go get the airbag deactivated and shove DS in the front in an extended rear facing seat and put up with the occasional faff of having to move him into the back. Or do I get a kiddy pro car seat and stick with that?

Any advice would be appreciated.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 28/07/2011 19:26

Hi I have news on dd finally Grin
Dd can now crawl, roll and go from crawling to sitting up.
She is very close to standing unaided but at the moment holds one of my hands. I cant wait till she is walking :)
Trib good luck to ds with his crawling, he will be doing it very soon now he is trying to get on all fours bless him :)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 28/07/2011 19:28

Rear facing seats are meant to be better till they are 4. I would recommend that for safety.

HarrietJones · 28/07/2011 19:43

Tribble I would go with the front seat for ease of in & out

bestfootforwards · 28/07/2011 19:53

Nice but strange being able to put faces to names Grin

I don't know enough about car seats yet, but suspect I would pick the front seat if we had a three door as they are only going to get heavier and more wriggly!

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 28/07/2011 19:56

Can't help really Tribble but I'm soon looking at moving seats as DD's feet are dangling over the end of her rear facing, it annoying as there's loads of headroom, but she's got long legs. Also Trib Grin at the course you were on...I have a funny feeling I know which one it is! The kind that gives you a cracking headache by the end of the day.

DD did the going onto all fours (hands and feet) for what seemed like ages. I kept thinking that she'd be crawling by the end of the week etc etc. Then she seemed more interested in walking holding on and I thought she'd skip crawling, then suddenly she crawled! On her knees which she had not practised at all before.

Smile Ty thank you for thinking of me! Well done to your DD- it makes you proud and a little sad at the same time doesn't it!? Well, it did me.

NoHun thank you for getting a grip of all of us. 18 months and we finally have FB sorted. We just need Floozie to drop by and ILGH and I think we'll be close to our normal lot.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 28/07/2011 20:06

It made me very proud Mock. She is getting so big bless her.
Is anyone else obsessing over dc first birthday plans. I am about to book hotel for dd peppa pig world visit, I have one of her presents, a peppa pig vehicle set and planning on getting her a pink aeroplane ride on toy. I cant be the only crazy one very organised mummy Grin

HarrietJones · 28/07/2011 20:12

Also, I meant to say, took DD to the ENT appt. Still too much wax in the right ear despite the application of ear drops for 11 days more than the label said. The consultant said he would do nothing and for us to come back in 4 weeks. I said that she'd been in pain since May and we were both upset about it but he basically ignored me and told me to keep giving her Calpol every night. Firstly, I may be wrong but I am sure that prolonged use of paracetamol can not be good for the liver and also, I don't want my little baby becoming reliant on drugs to get to sleep Sad Sad and I'm sooo Angry that docs think that its ok to shovel calpol down babies throats all the bloody time. Its soul destroying and I cried on the way out. The healthcare assistants were very nice to me, but could not help.

Anyway, we then went to a cranial osteopath this afternoon and DD loved it. He was so impressed with what DD would allow (normally he finds babies put up with it for 5 mins tops). DD allowed him to mess around with her for the full 30 mins and as the time went on she got more and more chatty and relaxed. He massaged round her ear, did cranial manipulation, the same with her diaphragm and some work on her back. For the first time in ages she did not arch and cry when I put her into her carseat for the journey back, she was chatty and then, in the bath she was really ticklish and giggling when I tickled her feet and under her arms. Normally she does not react to this at all (more ticklish when you squeeze her thighs and likes more slapstick humour). Its as if he's released some pressure on nerves (he felt some clonks and cracks when he was doing the work). She had her bedtime feed and went into bed awake but not anxious like she's been for the last few weeks and she's settled herself. I could cry with love and exhaustion. I know its a long night yet, but its a very promising start.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 28/07/2011 20:14

We are planning a little party the day before we go away with inlaws and my mum and brother.

MockingbirdsNotForSale · 28/07/2011 20:15

Am planning to ask for the day before and DD's birthday off. Hoping to have a party with her friends from Peep.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 28/07/2011 20:21

The parties sound nice :)
Mock I would be angry too, calpol is good but surely soon she will be immune to it and its effects will not be as strong. :(
Great news about her going to bed happier :)

TribbleWithoutACause · 28/07/2011 21:08

HJ It's painful isn't it.

Mock Hmmm can you ask for a second opinion, if this was an adult they'd have put you on the wizzy ear sucking machine by now.

For DS's first birthday, big family get together with wine etc for adults and cake for ds.

busyprocrastinating · 28/07/2011 21:49

Oo mock that's terrible not surprised you are Angry can you see another doc? Glad that she has been happier this evening.

I thought I was been a bit ott planning dd's birthday, glad to see I'm not the only one Smile it falls on one of my days off and dh is going to book it off too. We are going to go to a mini zoo that's nearby in the day and then family party evening time all being well. Have picked her pressie but not bought it yet (and started to look at Christmas ones)

busyprocrastinating · 28/07/2011 21:53

All the little ones are on the move aren't they? Dd took some unaided steps the other day but hasn't attempted it again
