BoB, have you tried the London Parent Directory? You can get it in Waterstones. Also try the NCT to see if they do a coffee morning or something like that near you. Also see if you are in a Sure Start area (your HV should know) as there are lots of things available through that.

I take Natalie to Gymboree at Whiteleys in Bayswater on a friday at 12.30, and was going to suggest your cousin and you come to that with me - you can get a free taster session before you commit to anything, so it wouldn't cost anything?? You'd need to pre-book but the course isn't full yet so it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm taking Nat swimming in the new year at the local leisure centre, so why not see if any courses run near you?

BOB: have found a 'samsonite pop-up baby bed' in Blooming Marvellous (catalogue, shops, and on-line) - folds to a dinky bag (27cm), and comes with mattress, net, loops for toys. Avail. pink and blue, suitable until bagby can sit (typing from catalogue!!). Price £34.99 (gulp),but could be what you are looking for? Always fancied one myself, but already have moses basket .

the directory sounds great..i've been loking for something like that after realising i now ned to arrange to meet friends etc in buggy baby friendly cafes..and a lot arent!

my cousins wife also goes to gymboree in whiteleys actually..i'll ask her which session ..but i'me very interested, and 12.30 is late enough for me to aCTUALY GET OUT OF THE HOUSE WITH BABY WITHOUT FORGETTING TO BRUSH MY TEETH OR CHANGE OUT OF MY PJ'S OR SOMETHING..TEEHEE..good excuse for some shopping in notting hill afterwards too, hehe

that sounds great diege..as we don't have a car the travel cot lives at my mums but we need something for when we visit other people and obviously going on the train it needs to be small!
i don't mind paying that much as i can pass it on to a friend or ebay it later!

do you ladies have plans for new year?

Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! BoB!!!!!!!!!!! You're back!! Yippeeeeee!!

Welcome little Oskar You did give us all a scare! Loving your random SHOUTING!! And you'll always be Bob to me, no need to change the name!

We've had a lovely Christmas, bit sad it's all over though now! Sounds likeeveryone had a great time...

Although I got mastitis on Tuesday which was horrid and couldn't get to see anyone after being told I could get an appt at the out of hours centre but they wouldn't have the medication (I only needed antibiotics!) and that A&E wouldn't treat me as it wasn't an emergency.....Got seen yesterday morning and luckily I hadn't got much worse and got the antibiotics - a 7 day course so no drinks for me New Year! And they're hurting Jessie's little tum

Ahhh Nova, a laugh! Jess did her first laugh about a fortnight ago at my mother and sister and I didn't get to hear it as I was busy making them cups of tea in the kitchen !! Typical! And she hasn't done it again since....

Jess seems to be piling on the ounces too at the mo, her knees are soooo chubby! Someone gave me some clothes for her last week which included a few skirts (which seemed quite short!) Can you imagine a pair of fat little legs sticking out the bottom?! Haha!! No, she's a trouser girl at the mo!

Sharon - 14 pounds!! Wow! You'll be dissappearing soon, no wonder you've lost all your weight!

Chacha - LOL 'this grandad'

Beks!! Laying underlay?! At 11pm?! You maniac!!

Max is a very nice name Kristina, Well done!

Diege, I wouldn't worry about Libby's feeding either, which I'm sure you're not really! And I must say your posts always make me larf, you funny lady!

Right must go, my bottom is really aching on this chair x x x

Oh did you all know Jess is 12 weeks on Monday!!

BoB- have you checked to see if you are in or near a Surestart area? You HV should be able to tell you. They have lots of groups/support for mums/parents and babies.

I've got one of those Samsonite pop-up cots. Never used it. CAT me if you want to buy it off me - at a greatly discounted price, of course!
