Ok, still no soiled nappy and it is about 40 hours since last one. It is going to go like a rocket when it comes out!!!!! Any tips? Sam is still feeding though, no change there.
JenJam, sorry Finn is having a devilish moment, they do pass, I had nearly two weeks of non-stop crying - thought I was a bad mother, that my milk was off, that he preffered other people to me, etc, etc. It all came down in the end (we think) to him not getting filled by my milk, went to formula top up and got a different baby. Not saying this is your answer, more that one of the things you try will either work, or he will come out of it on his own. It does feel awful when it is happening though, I agree. I was also going through the 'is it because i haven't got a really structured routine?' then i'd try and stick to the routine, but the crying would continue, so I'd change it slightly and then kick myself afterwards again thinking 'No i should stick to routine' It is the not knowing how to make it better that is the killer isn't it?
Oooh went on BF threads last night and made myself feel terible. Stupid I know! Talk about feeling like a failure if you don't exclusively BF for 6 months to a year. Won't be going on there again. Their best tips for successful BF was to have no routine, to feed whenever bubs cries, not to try and do anything else in your day, to cosleep and feed very regularly throughout night and to read whilst feeding to keep you going. Oh yes and to ignore the pain. I don't know about anyone else here but I think I would go a little insane and start heading towards depression with this, is this just me or am I a failure??????? There seemed to be so many people saying these things!though!!!!!! Oh yes and apparently it is poppycock that you would not produce enough/good enough milk and that topping up is BAD!!!!!
Beks - my cranial person was recommended by a friend. Basically they work on the whole body and just manipulate the skeleton with VERY small movements. This helps to put bones in correct position after birth experience and allow the relevant fluids to flow more easily. It sounds a little airy fairy but really does seem to be working. So much so that as soon as she goes down to his pelvis he completely fills his nappy, everytime!!!!!!! Now there might be an answer to our nappy problem!!!!! It takes about 2 days to see results after each visit but I must admit it does seem to help release the wind!!!!!!!!
Right better go feeding time.
ChaCha - I also had very emotional times when I first went out. Could't talk to people or make decisions. Got better within 2 weeks though. It is such a big change!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry if I have missed anyone, will check back in later and catch up with missed people
