It was getting desperate and since MrsMCJnr suggestion came in last and I was being lazy I just went for that - hope that is ok.

Blimey simpson! I'm sure they must have heard worse. They would around here. S has picked up 'bloody' from me as she has a draw in her chest of drawers which always breaks and I called it 'this bloody thing' this morning. She called down the stairs to DH 'It's bloody' with great glee. Blush

mixedmamameansbusiness · 17/06/2011 13:32

Macro definitely worth it particularly if you have others to hand it down to as we do. It is very expensive and not old enough to find a good bargain on ebay just yet.

Ditto Simps cant believe they think it is such a problem to be honest. Waste of energy making a big deal about it.

If anyone happens to be watching Cebeebies on Monday at ten forty five, (Same Smile) it's Sabela's nursery. I'm not sure if she's on it.

We're too technologically backwards to have any way of recording it though. Sad

simpson · 17/06/2011 17:48

M seems to be getting on quite well with her scooter now, she even wants to take it into her bedroom when she goes to bed Grin

Still not got the hang of steering it yet but is getting there Smile

I totally agree with what everyone said re M saying "loser". TBH they are a little too touchy feely for my liking (ie "you hit little jonny lets talk about your feelings") which just does not work for M.

But she is leaving end of July anyway Smile

Can I have a proud moment??

J announced last night at 8pm (he went to bed at 7.30, and came down 30mins later to tell me Hmm)he had to do a presentation in front of the whole class on his favourite thing (and had to take thing in too)

He wanted to take a photo of our cats except we don;t have one. In the end I persuaded him to take his toy marbles in as he is always playing with them....

Anyway apparently there was a prize for the child that did the best presentation & answer questions afterwards and J won!!! He had no help from me either as he wanted to think of what to say himself

mixedmamameansbusiness · 17/06/2011 20:01

Awww Simps.... I love proud mummy moments. Well done J.

They seem to be happening thick and fast at the minute.

I have a completely dry in the day 3 year old at last. E is officially a big boy although now we need to tackle the toilet but so pleased at last.

Simps with the scooter there is a dad at school who has tied some string and a sort of piece of wood to the handles and his son just stands on it and occasionally scoots but basically he pulls him along and there is no bending down etc.

Do any of you with older children have them doing karate or something similar? S is desperate to start and is going to go to a trial class in Sept but just wondered what anyone thought of it as an activity in general if any of your older ones do it.

MM - J does football after school for an hour on tuesday, starting beavers on monday next wk and is going to start swimming lessons quite soon.

He would love to do another activity (he has mentioned trampolining) but I feel this is enough for him atm.

M does a little gardening club (same time as J's football) and she started a little dance/gymnastics class yesterday which she enjoyed.

LaT - I will look out for S but will be watching Cbeebies without any children in the house lol Grin

I'm guessing why as I saw the original message. No problem, Madmouse.

madmouse · 19/06/2011 19:55

Won't be able to watch out for S as I'll be at work. But hopefully there will be repeats?

JustKeepSwimming · 19/06/2011 19:59

I have programmed it to record LaT :)
(and told DH not to tidy up the Sky+ by deleting it lol)

Simps - J is a superstar!

Got the scooter back out of the shed today for T, he had a little go in the garden but has forgotten how to steer which is a little funny. Thinking we will rearrange his party for the same soft play for a date in august, just need to be organised to get the invites out before the end of term (he finishes quite early) - may even be a money-saver if lots of people are away Grin

Hope people had a good day today, we don't do much for mother's or father's day really but think DH had a good one.

Watching 'born to be different' from the other night, not sure it's a good idea but H's surgeon is on it.

MrsMcJnr · 19/06/2011 21:35

Hey ladies, It´s been a while I know sorry!

How are all the little darlings? Xavier is being really cheeky at the moment, very stubborn too and we are most definitely in the ?why? stage?! He starts school in September and I was at a parents-teachers meeting on Friday to get some info. They gave us a long list of things that they expect the children to do (dress, undress s elves, wipe bottom after number 2, lay table and clear ..) and things they expect them not to do (shout, suck fingers, always want to be first etc) seems we have some work to do in some areas this summer!

Just jumping in where I can:

Simpson ? you must have been furious and so sad when J came home after the youth club incident. Great news about Beavers! Not heard of those scooters, but sounds like M loves it. Fabulous about the marble story, go J! I´ve been called in a couple of times by nursery about Xavier, apparently he is ?attention seeking? I couldn´t help it, I said ?He´s 3!!? His teacher was 38 weeks pregnant the last time and getting close to the end of her tether I guess!

JKS ? I´ve missed the new baby haven´t I?? Many, many congratulations on Mary!! what has T done to his leg?

Mixedmama ? you are far more sensible than me about parties, I had 27 toddlers for A´s 2nd last weekend. Exhausted me (didn´t help that I started miscarrying a very early 3rd baby during it, such a disappointment) Great about E being dry now.

LaT ? Xavier has been heard saying ?for F* sake? under his breath and completely in context. Must try very hard not to use such bad language!! Wish we were going to be in tomorrow to see ?Same Smile? A loves those pandas and it would have been fun to try and spot S! You should hear X´s Spanish now, can´t believe how fast he has picked it up!

Hello Madmouse!

latrucha · 20/06/2011 10:50

That's not S's pre-school! Sad

latrucha · 20/06/2011 13:34

It's tomorrow Blush

mixedmamameansbusiness · 20/06/2011 14:09

MrsMc - so good to hear from you, but so sorry to hear about the loss. I remember this is not your first MC so must have been difficult particularly during a childrens party.

LaT - we have Virgin TV and for the most part it drives me mad with all these channels we never watch, however most of the cBeebies programmes are on iPlayer and we can actually watch them on the TV. Lifesaver when we are cooking dinner and can occupy S and E with Granpa in my Pocket on demand.

MrsMcJnr · 20/06/2011 15:29

Thanks Mixedmama, you have a good memory. I lost a baby before X but that was a lot further along so if it was going to go wrong this time I was lucky that it was early (about 6 weeks).

LaT- managed to catch a bit, what was S wearing?

JustKeepSwimming · 20/06/2011 16:09

LOL LaT - will have to try and remember to set it to record tomorrows. Have set it - actually I looked at the info for today's and saw where it was and though to myself that i didn't think you lived there!

MrsMc - hello :) T broke his leg the first day back at sch after Easter (when M was a week old), he had a cast on for 6 weeks which made in-ter-est-ing to say the least! And after my stitches i wasn't meant to lift him but he couldn't get about for the first week, lots of toilet accidents & tears, etc.
He's doing much better now though is still limping badly but that is improving too.

DD slept 8 hours last night Grin of course i didn't, silly me. Actually DH woke me getting up for a wee in the night Hmm
When he's an old man i think we might have separate rooms if that becomes a habit lol.

H had a good day at school i think, must have learnt 'today' as he said 'cool tooodaayy' lots of times when he came in :)

mixedmamameansbusiness · 20/06/2011 16:36

Can I ask you ladies to have a look at this thread for me please if you have a moment, since you all "know" me and DS1 so to speak.

Sorry MrsMc - I was just popping in and didn't mean to give an imp[ression that I was ignoring you. We really need t go and live in Spain for a while. I'm making an effort to speak Spanish when DH is around. S understands everything, but is reluctant to speak. I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had an early mc between S and D at about weeks. It was very disappointing (especially as I'd told DH the night before). My hormones went nuts too. Hope you're feelign ok.

Mixedmama - I had no idea about your thread really, but you seem to have good advice. I am a bit rubbish about things like that.

JKS - DH and I are in separate rooms right now! He's desperate to come back, but I'm insisting he gives up smoking first mainly because I hate it but also because he snores like a hog when he does. I just can't face a third person waking me up.

latrucha · 20/06/2011 18:31

six weeks - sorry the four and the six no longer work on my computer!

MrsMcJnr · 20/06/2011 19:43

Duh! Missed that it is tomorrow LaT, will look tomorrow! What is she wearing in it? Thanks for your kind words. I remember your loss hon. My hormones have gone nuts as has my body, silly but my boobs had already inflated a size and I ?hoarded? 4 pounds. Not as bad as the first time, that was 10 pounds! I´m sure S & D will be fluent in Spanish before long, playing with cousins in the hols and listening to you both speaking it and relies too. Important that you are the one who always speaks to them in English I think.

JKS ? Poor thing and what awful timing for you all! Glad to hear that he is on the mend now. What a fabulous baby sleeping like that, I am jealous! Still can´t get that many hours on the bounce out of A!

Mixedmama ? as someone else says on your thread, I have no experience of anything like that yet with X only being 3 but I do know that now A can say ?willy? they both think it is hilarious. DS1´s reaction is strange though if you normally talk about pictures and he wasn´t his usual self about it. I wonder if something was already said at school?

What do you all do when your Darling 3yr old does not do as he or she is told, repeatedly? I just cannot get "naughty step" to work, nor will he stay in his room and if I yell (which I invariably do) he just yells back at me or screams if he is really frustrated. Sounds like a horror, it is not all the time but it is an issue at the moment.

madmouse · 21/06/2011 11:06

we watched - no S :(

latrucha · 21/06/2011 11:16

No. She didn't make the cut apparently. Only six did! Oh well. She does hate having her picture taken, so I did wonder. Thanks for watching!

MrsMcJnr · 21/06/2011 13:58

That´s a shame! We watched too

AngeChica · 21/06/2011 21:57

Would like to say hi to all. Sorry I cannot catch up properly. Life has been very hectic as many of you know I was training for the GNS but now that I am no longer going to the swimming pool most nights I'm not sure what to do with myself! Oh yes, start running! :) giving myself a week off though.

Went to visit A's new nursery last week and it was lovely. I went to run his bath tonight and came back to find him flat out on the rug. Sill tired after camping in the Lakes I guess - although it was rather damp he managed to get lots of fresh air and exercise.

I'm sorry MrsMc :(

simpson · 21/06/2011 22:36

Mrs Mc - sorry too Sad

All good here, J started beavers last night and was totally full of it, he loved it!!

M a total handful atm Took her to a gardening club at childens centre today and she hit me in front of all the other mums Blush I think M thought she could get away with it as we were not at home ie no naughty step etc...she soon learnt!!!

Good news on the scooter, she totally loves it and bless her it has been sooo good for her confidence/independence etc and she wants to go on it all the time which is fab for school run etc as am trying not to use buggy anymore...
