Sorry bit boring I know but I didn't want to make any reference to spot as I don't want to jinx her and have her baby come early, then it would be my fault. Also didn't want the mad rush at the end of the thread. This way we've had plenty of time.

OP posts:

Don't worry Vag, you know we like to fret Xmas Grin. It's funny how we're used to 24 hr Internet access. Not sure about the trains, but I think there are more snow problems for thr west and midlands. Hope everyone is OK.

Jam: that is awful, I hope the hospital staff are being kind and supportive.

Summer: good luck for your travels.

JamInMyWellies · 22/12/2010 08:36

Spot masses of on your hands and knees, bouncing on your birthing ball. I was told to spend time scrubbing my kitchen floor. Xmas Wink Go up and down stairs sideways as this helps open your pelvis. Defo no slouching on the sofa.

JamInMyWellies · 22/12/2010 08:38

Lady that is lovely news about DP chambers chap.

Avocadoes · 22/12/2010 09:09

Yay! Vag is safe!

Spot - walk up and downstairs sideways and float on yr front in a pool. Those worked for me. I LOVE the bane Joseph. I also like Daniel. Have you thought of Alexander nn Sacha? I like that. Or Adam is a good solid name. Of course I still long for a Bede on this thread but am giving up hope.

Jam - your poor, poor friend. I know they try and avoid c sections in cases such as hers as you are only meant to have two or three sections and she may want to try for two or three more kids in the future. But still.

Last day at work for me. So pleased. Can't wait to hunker down and get properly absorbed in the girls and their Christmas. Work has been pretty exciting of late though so I shan't complain about it today.

sybilfaulty · 22/12/2010 09:51

Inaugural post from phone so hope I don't break thread. Hurrah that vag is safe and well.

Jam, I'm praying for your friend. What a terrible thing to endure.

Deids, am also praying for yr nan. She has had q very hard year. She is clearly made of strong stuff tho. Thinking of u all.

Loving hearing about everyone's Christmas preps. Am v behind and not done cards yet. My ss will also be late. Sorry. Off to do jobs now but must watch Justin first

Rubena · 22/12/2010 10:38

Oh no Vag - I had written it off as not happening when we didn't hear from you, and then commited to mil. We are currently en route to hers to drop kids and finish some shopping off as dh is off work now. Do you have any free time another day? How long are you in town?

It was a big mistake letting ds nap 2 hours yesterday as after sleeping till 915am. He was up to party at 3am till 430. Still snotty and all as well.
So far this Olive stuff does not have my buy in. I've developed an ulcer in my mouth and feel like i'm getting worse not better.

Oh dear just noticed this didn't send... ages ago. New phone and still getting used to it Confused Bet I've crossposttasticed

deckthehallswithvagolaJahooli · 22/12/2010 13:53

Pubes I had to bring DH into London as services were a bit dodgy. Your not shopping at westfields are you. The boys and I are here right now.

deckthehallswithvagolaJahooli · 22/12/2010 14:54

Does anyone know if there is a play area at this westfields apart from the little ones in the toilet?

deckthehallswithvagolaJahooli · 22/12/2010 14:59

Oh yeah I def love Alexander and Sacha is a beautiful shortening of it.

Gosh this westfields is huge. Have gotten very used to dutch shopping, these sorts of places just don't exist over there.

I haven't actually bought anything yet as the lines are so long but really should get some wrapping paper.

Rubena · 22/12/2010 17:26

Vag no am at Bluewater! Yes there's a kids play area near little white co! Am sure u found it by now! Must post as v hard to type on this phone and am now in car!

EffiePerine · 23/12/2010 17:14

Sorry, phone playing tricks!

EffiePerine · 23/12/2010 21:00

And now I've broken the thread.

Short day at work tomorrow, then finished for Christmas :). Hope everyone who is travelling reaches their destinations safely.

LadyThompson · 23/12/2010 21:42

What lovely news for Pixsix - hurrah! I am not one of her FB friends, for some reason, so didn't see the noos.

Oh Jam, your friend Sad

Rubes, how are the patients? Golly, I bet Bluewater was packed (and Westfield for that matter)

Merry Christmas, Pingu, and happy birthday to Indith's DD!

Vag, hope you are still enjoying your trip to Ingerland. I got out of the village for the first time day since last Fri! We had to dig the car out but it worked. And I am off Christmas shopping in Oxford tomorrow as a result Hmm

I think my Mum has torn a ligament or a tendon or something in her arm this evening - she has had a bad arm for yonks and today she lifted something heavy and heard a sort of a cracking sound and the pain was so bad she nearly fainted. Anyway, she is in serious pain now. I hope she can see the doctor tomorrow, it's such a worry. It drives me nearly demented when my Mum is ill/hurt.

Hope you are all safe and cosy. I must admit to a tiny tincture of Baileys. Tell's a bit duff considering it's Christmas Eve Eve.

EffiePerine · 24/12/2010 06:55

Good luck for your Christmas Eve shop Lady!

JamInMyWellies · 24/12/2010 07:45

Happy Christmas Eve everyone. Wishing you all a magical next few days. I hope Santa brings you everything you asked for.

Rubena · 24/12/2010 10:04

Lady, it was fairly busy but not too bad. Got back to mil's and decided to leave straight away as all were tired so PJ'ed the kids but not before dd pooed all over great G'ma Grin
Thanks for asking about me - I am worse (cold wise) but the kids are on the mend although ds has shocking cough still. DH tried to give me a lay in but forgot to take dd's monitor down but still ds didn't wake till 745am anyway.
Have to run out and get a few last minute things today but otherwise
Happy Christmas everyone!
