Sorry bit boring I know but I didn't want to make any reference to spot as I don't want to jinx her and have her baby come early, then it would be my fault. Also didn't want the mad rush at the end of the thread. This way we've had plenty of time.

carne

Rubena · 20/11/2010 20:58

Matt, Cher, Rebecca in that order. C'mon Cher way less skanky these days but slightly too obviously Cherylified. Matt to win, Rebecca, I love her, not boring for me - she's brilliant. That's it so far.... Oh Mary - boring tonight.
That's all I've seen so far.

Rubena · 20/11/2010 20:59

Oh One Direction? Yuk.

Rubena · 20/11/2010 21:01

Right I've just bought 2x trunki's for the dc's (part Christmas pressie but for our upcoming trip) what a circus act we're gonna be going through departures lounge Grin

spotofcheerfulness · 20/11/2010 21:05

Damn I missed Matt while I was making a way too salty dinner. Yeuch. Haven't liked any of them to be honest, but I thought Paige was ok tonight. The others have been dull, but I'm not a big fan of Beatles toons. What did Matt sing?

VagolaJahooli · 20/11/2010 21:10

Yeah I would too Sybs, we actually considered Dermot for a name for DS2.

A trip out to yours would be quite nice Sybs. We get to London on the 23rd ish. I'm trying not to over book myself but you know. Where are you exactly. We are actually getting to UK on the 19th then driving straight to Oxford to stay with friends for 2 nights (lady where are you?) Then we are going to amesbury overnight so we can get up before the dawn and go to Stonehenge for the winter solstice dawn. Then we come into London staying overnight with a friend in Sarf Lunen then to our final destination of st Katherine docks on the 23rd. We are there or close to there until the 29th. Bit of an inconvenient time of year really as far as catching up goes.

spotofcheerfulness · 20/11/2010 21:15

Vag if you're staying in Sarf Lunnon and fancy a day trip by the sea let me know!

But Dermot. Seriously? He just reminds me of a very wide and sharky estate agent.

Avo just saw your FBook comment. Genius.

VagolaJahooli · 20/11/2010 21:21

Oops missed a whole page.

Rubs trunkis are great, lots of other kids have them and they all get together at the departures gate with them. DS1 is getting a bit big for his so will pass it into DS2 and want to get DS1 one of these cool panda rolly bags I saw in JL when in UK last. They are made by a couple who were on dragons den.

VagolaJahooli · 20/11/2010 21:23

Spot, you make me laugh. Brighton would be quite noice but not sure we can fit it in. I did actually look at going VIA Brighton from Dover, I thought it was a little closer to where the boat comes in. I was a bit mistaken.

Avocadoes · 20/11/2010 21:28

OMG LadyT, are you watching x factor? The Chocolate Orange ad that was just on featured yr old flame SA! How funny!

I know this will be unpopular but Katie was by far the best performance in my opinion...

Rubena · 20/11/2010 21:29

Matt sang 'Come Together' I heart him. he's brilliant. Katie impressed me tonight, vocally - not keen on the hair.
mary and Paige in the bottom 2 for me. Not that they are bad, they just don't stand out for me.
Wagner - give me strength.

Vag, yeah I the think the Trunki will be right up DS's street. he LOVES to ride anything! Hmm Love that JL suitcase too.
let me know if you can pop in to visit me too even if just for a coffee - I know you're pushed though but it'd be lovely.

Right, toilet, refill cheerfulness, xtra factor, Strictly to finish watching, then I'm a Celeb jeez it's too much! DH still asleep (since 3pm)Shock

Rubena · 20/11/2010 21:33

Crossed Avo - Agree with you on 2 counts. Katie was good (not my best) and Dermot - lord above.... Can't get past the short thing and boxy weird hairline

Rubena · 20/11/2010 21:34

I'm going to rewind and check out the old flame Wink geez I need to really rein in the rambling.

Rubena · 20/11/2010 21:38

right - Matt just said he refuses to do that fake 'call and vote for me' phone charade thing on camera!! I REALLY heart him now - that's my VERY big pet peeve when contestants do that!

spotofcheerfulness · 20/11/2010 22:22

Just watched Matt on YouTube - how sad does that make me? Nice lil bod he's been hiding there...

DeidreBarlow · 21/11/2010 08:25

spot Glad to hear T is on the mend but I am sorry you are having all this stress with DH and moving back to London. I hope you get it sorted soon, and if you aren't adverse to moving back (which I don't think you are?) then it may well be for the best.

Didn't get on last night but I was loving Saturdays reality TV fest! I hated Katie's hair (more the colour than the style)but she was ok. I actually thought they were all just ok except Wagner who was crap! Rubes totally agree with Matt not 'begging' for votes. Are you watching I'm a Celeb? How pathetic is Gillian? I'm sure she's putting it on for extra air timeGrin

Right DD is on the mend but DS is very poorly this morning. High temp, cold, cough so am also assuming he has the sore throat DD has been suffering with. Sofa again today me thinks.

Oh and I booked Panto tickets last night, for us all. I am hoping (and praying) that DS will be so taken by it that he will sit and watch the whole show (Snow White, DD will love it)! Might have to take a bumper bag of Cheddars to keep him quiet. I forgot to tell you that the DC's came in church for the funeral. My cousin said he was on the brink of really losing it when he looked over and so DS trying to fit 4 cheddars in his mouth at once - made him have a little giggle instead!

Rubes hope your DH is feeling better today.

DeidreBarlow · 21/11/2010 08:27

saw I think too much Cbeebies is melting the brain cells that the wine hasn't destroyed!

spotofcheerfulness · 21/11/2010 09:41

Deids am so glad the kids brought a smile to someone at the funeral. It must have made it feel like the right decision (plus am gonna seriously steal your mini cheddars idea for future quiet situations).

Nice call on the panto too. I'm sure DP will have seen a fair few in Preston when he was small. I always went to the Davenport in Stockport as a child as that was where my grandparents lived and my mum was never into panto. I'm sure she'd have rather we went to a nice concert or ballet...). Does that ring any bells with any northern lasses?

Poor you with two little illies. Not nice. It must be useful when one can tell you what's wrong so you can hazard a guess at what's ailing the non verbal one, though. We were up a lot in the night with T, kept thinking he was ill again until, by 5.30, he'd managed to tell us he was hungry, had some milk then promptly went back to sleep and is still snoozing now...DP and I were awake from 4-7am though, prob both thinking about the sheer size of the life changes about to be thrown our way!

As he's still asleep, wondering whether to just bin the nap altogether today or he won't go to sleep until 10 tonight.

Just got a parcel delivery today - didn't realise Royal Mail delivered on a Sunday. Christmas must have started...

Enough rambling, I'm starving. Back later.

DeidreBarlow · 21/11/2010 13:54

Aww PD thanks for the list, so lovely to see all those babies againSmile. Have a wonderful holiday!

Poor DS keeps coughing and it must hurt his throat as he cries every time Sad. He's red hot but keeps waking up coughing. We are Calpol & IB maxed out. I hope he's better by Wednesday.

waitinggirl · 21/11/2010 14:44

Poor ds, db. Hope he gets better, poor lamb.

Blinking heck, I put the wrong weight down for madam-she was 7lbs 10. Not that that matters anymore.

Beans33 · 21/11/2010 15:31

PD didn't realise our tinies shared a bday - and nearly a name! Lovely list.
Have just had hell drive back from sister. Neither child slept for 3 hours and cried a lot. And TomTom took me on shit route that took 45mins longer than should have done! Grrr.
Both now sleeping upstairs but DD1 not for long!
PD have a great hol xxx

Rubena · 21/11/2010 16:36

Does anyone want a pair of Maternity Jeans in Size 10 XXLong from next in pretty good nik?
have a great hol PD

urbanewarrior · 21/11/2010 20:45

Rubes you are so glam xxlong. I wish. Have a lovely holiday pd. Thanks for list. Brings it all back...
Am so pleased Katie got through. Dh was bit of a beetles nut in youth so spent last night shouting at tv/rolling eyes but I thought she did not a bad job.

Dh currently making me a sidecar. Drink, naturally. We have a bit of a tradition of having a winter cocktail and we're currently shortlisting. Tough. I loved last night's but it has absinthe in it which might be a bit hardcore for weeks on end (urbane chops ear off in Jan)

Ooh he's back. Yum. We went to the re-opened American bar in the savoy the other night. Was fab. Also wish me luck as am bidding on lovely watch for Christmas present and always get stiffed on bay.

urbanewarrior · 21/11/2010 21:07

I got stiffed Sad gutted. Was lovely 1940s omega DH was going to buy me for christmas.
but was too good to be true probably.

in better news sidecar was great. and am having re-fill to console self. which doesn't bode well for concentration during garrow's law.

spot i'm really sorry to hear about your row.
