Thanks for all the ebay sympathy, fingers crossed it looks like all might be OK. Apparently the seller has been away for the week Hmm, she still can't find the foam tyres but is sending air filled ones instead and refunding £35. Will wait for it to arrive before celebrating though!

I'm feeling really rough with the lurgy today, as are ds and poor little Lottie, we are all snotty as a very snotty thing. Not great as Dh is working away as of tomorrow so hoping we'll all feel a bit better after a nights sleep. Just hoping Lottie isn't up too much.

Also interesting to hear how all the weaning is going, Lottie is 6 months next week (I think, have somewhat lost track), which I can't believe, it's gone so fast, but still isn't showing much interest in food. My other 2 were the same, much prefer to continue draining me of all my energy milk instead. Saying that they're still not big eaters which is weird because I love my food! I sometimes wonder if arriving a bit early makes a difference and perhaps they're more ready 6 months after their due date as apposed to birth date? I guess they're just all different, was hoping for a better eater though.

Rinnyx · 14/03/2011 21:41

Glad things seem to be getting sorted hmm

My dramas with the hospital continues Angry
I made so many phone calls today I lost count.
Turns out the main hospital the GP office was getting me to call was the wrong one so after them sending the fax 4 times I was given the right number for the right hospital, they confirmed they did get it on the 2nd but only just got round to it today and cant see him no sooner than May 12th so they told me to ring my GP again and ask them to fax it to the main hospital I was calling before to see if they can see him sooner which means tomorrow I have to call the main hospital to see if they have received the fax and see if they can see him sooner and then I need to call the other hospital back to tell them what they said, I swear cant they talk to one another rather than me do all the running about Angry
I tell you much tea ans cake will be needed when I meet up with 4mad again and some other MN ladies

Sorry for the rant just really need to get it out Blush

SGJ · 14/03/2011 21:59

Aw Rinny, that sounds awful, what a saga! Can't believe they're getting you to do their work for them! Will message you about a Norwich meet up and will listen to and rant with you. Poor little boy, hope he's not in too much discomfort.

mumcha · 15/03/2011 09:54

Hi all well weaning is ggoing great here ,Oliver has porridge for breakfast ,veg for dinner at around 4pm ,a rusk with 1oz of his milk at 8.30pm and that is along with five 6oz bottles a day think he is going to be a wee chub.I had him at the doc yesterday he has a chest infection and is on antibiotics ut it isnt putting him of his food .

Rinnyx · 15/03/2011 11:31

Thanks SGJ I called the main hospital today and they said the have nothing yet so I said shall I call back at the end of the week and they said just wait we will contact you Angry so I have now put a topic in the Children's health section on MN to see if anyone can help, looks like we will have to wait til May 12th, far from impressed
Yes a meet up would be fab, I need much tea and cake after this run around

Glad to hear Oliver is enjoying his food mumcha Isaac has about 2 heeped spoonfuls of food at lunchtime and dinner

My house is now bathroomless, thank god for a 2nd loo Grin Isaac is not to fussed by the noise, in fact he is snoring away on me right now as they are banging away in there haha

Rinnyx · 15/03/2011 15:28

Finally a light at the end of the tunnel
Just got a call from the hospital, cause of how much drama has been going on they are fitting us in to be seen THIS THURSDAY, very happy :)

hmmSleep · 15/03/2011 15:32

That's fantastic Rinny, hope they manage to sort it.

Mibby · 15/03/2011 17:14

Great news Rinny :)

4madboys · 15/03/2011 20:41

oh fab news rinny!! it does pay to be a pita and hastle hastle hastle!!

just marking my place as i had lost the thread for a day or so.

hmmmsleep, what do you mean no foam only air tyres? the back wheels on the bugaboo, the big ones are air filled tryes a bit like bmx scooter ones and the front are little hard wheels. if you need replacements john lewis is very good for bugaboo parts :)

we have had a busy day as it was ds4s' bday, i had mil visiting, went out for lunch and the elder three boys all had various sporting activities after school that i had to get them to/from and watch etc, so been crazy busy, but all in bed now, thankgod! i shall be joining them shortly!

hmmsleep can your dd really be almost 6mths? merryn is only 14wks! but then she was later Hmm she has had 5oz for most of her feeds today, the most she has ever had!! cant believe how much your little one is having mumcha!! hope the antibiotics work and he is better soon.

right i have three episodes of one born every minute to catch up on, so going to try and watch one of them before i fall asleep xxx

bunnygirl80 · 15/03/2011 21:12

rinny that's great that you've got an appointment. It's just a shame you had to kick up such a fuss to get it

4mad the back wheels on the newest version of the bugaboo are foam filled now so there's no chance of punctures any more

Hope ds4 enjoyed his birthday Smile

We had our first swimming lesson yesterday - William thoroughly enjoyed it although he got a bit overtired and had a complete meltdown in the changing rooms. Thankfully a lovely lady and her 2yo kept him entertained while I got dressed Smile

4mad, have finally worked it out and Lottie is actually only 21 weeks (I think Confused Blush), I was thrown because the health visitor got it wrong on her little calendar wheel thingy when I took Lottie to be weighed, I questioned her about it at the time too but presumed with my baby brain it must be me getting it wrong! She was born 19th October.

The bugaboo I've bought is the 2nd generation one which is supposed to come with foam filled wheels to avoid punctures, I went for this one because I've had numerous punctures on my Phil & Teds which is a real PITA. The seller says she can't find the foam ones but has some air filled ones to send instead. I'm not so bothered because I've since read that the foam wheels are heavier and not as smooth a ride. Just hoping it's the newer chassis though as I think I could have got a 1st generation cheaper!

4madboys · 16/03/2011 10:00

well have had my bugaboo 6yrs + and NEVER had a puncture and its gone on fields everyday for school run! beach, woods, town, city, the underground etc! so i think it must have good innner tubes, new ones are only a £5 from halfords tho as ihave had to buy two new ones for my instep nipper that i have only had for ayear or less!!

and yes i was thinking there is no way she could be 6mths, so 6mths is 24wks? or are you going by the date of the month ie 19th april she will be 6mth. merryn wont be 6mths till june!!

right best get going as have a friend round in half an hour........

Babybean1 · 16/03/2011 11:28

Great news Rinny :)

Be back again soon......off to our swimming class now where Evie will get her star fish 1 badge for completing the first lot of sessions :) how cute!!

Lainey1981 · 16/03/2011 14:37

Great news Rinny, hope this is the start of Isaac's skin getting better

Just quickly popping on while have a coffee i. Town. Still no internet at home but fingers crossed will be back on Friday. Hurrah, my mumsnet addiction can be resumed.

rinny 4mad and sgj saw your posts re norwich meet up. Would most definitely be up for coming along, now I have finally learnt how to collapse my pram lol.

Am currently sporting a fetching bandage on my finger having cut myself rather badly when washing a kitchen knife on monday. Tis rather sore but luckily didn't need stitching. Amazing how many things you need one finger for!

hmm glad pram situation is sorted.

Dp and i have had sex 4, count em' 4 whole times. First time was after 11 weeks and i was terrified. It has improved but i still don't ever feel like it, and it certainly doesn't feel the same.

Major tmi alert, i think my perineum is half the size is was before Blush Blush something certainly isn't right and certain places feel far too close for my liking.
Sorry, had to get that out.
Re birth control have been taking mini pill for the last month and so far so good, am hoping it means no periods(am due tomoorow) as have had 2 since finn was born. First one 7 weeks post partum.
Anyways must dash himself is waking up so must run before he starts screaming.

Fenouille · 16/03/2011 20:20

Fab news Rinny I hope it all goes well tomorrow.

Bean, Evie's swimming badge is too cute :)

Lainey can you get an appointment with a gyn or midwife to work on your perineum? I've just finished my state sponsored sessions Grin and they've made a massive difference. I'd really recommend seeing if you can get someone to help you with some exercises. Hope you get your 'back to normal' feeling soon.

Well, the first three days of work have gone really well. Norry is really enjoying the CM. Today they had a carnival and he was dressed up as a lion! I haven't seen the photos yet but apparently he was a cute little lion and not a big scary one Grin

Rinnyx · 17/03/2011 09:35

So Isaac is being seen today about 12pm
I did think DP was going to drop me off as no buses run from A to B and I cant drive yet but he has said he will take him which is abit of A PITA as I have just had to write abunch of info down for him to take along.
He just better tell me in great detail what happened (the bathroom fitter is here til Saturday so someone has to stay home)

Lainey1981 that would be fab if you could come along also, get the 4 of us togteher lets just hope the weather gets nice soon, its like winter again today :(

Today marks a whole year since I got my BFP, cant believe it Shock

hmmSleep · 17/03/2011 09:43

Glad to hear both work and CM going well Fenouille, very cute thinking of Norry the little lion.

Lainey, although fine this time, after ds it took ages to feel normal again in that whole area. I actually went back to the gp after 4 months to check they hadn't stitched me up wrong Blush, reassuringly I did get back to normal eventually, although having said that using tampons never felt quite as comfortable Hmm.

Congratulations to baby babybean on her swimming badge Grin. I'm a bit jealous as have been advised not to take Lottie until we have her eczema under control.

Oh, and still no sign of the bugaboo Hmm.

Rinnyx · 17/03/2011 10:55

Dont worry hmm your not the only one, I would love to take Isaac swimming but dont want to risk it with his eczema, will just have to make up for it come summer if hopefully fingers crossed its sorted by then.
Sorry to hear about the dramas on the bugaboo, how long has it been since you won it?
I would warn them you will open a case against them with e-bay and paypal otherwise

Rinnyx · 17/03/2011 13:45

DP just got back from the hospital
He said they told us to stop using everything the GP gave us and have given us 2 creams we have to mix together and put on his face once aday, the is also something I have to collect from the chemist and wash him with it (will do that today when I collect DD from school)

He is due back in 2 weeks as they hope it will be gone by then as its something that can be easily treated so they said

I guess his diet, washing powder and stuff is not the the reason behind it, DP did not say anymore

hmmSleep · 17/03/2011 14:02

Fingers crossed it gets sorted Rinnyx! Can I ask which creams you were given initially? The stuff they gave to Lottie, cetraben emollient cream, has helped a bit on her body, but if anything her face is worse, really weeping and sore, so I'm going to have to go back. I'm a bit worried as ds got really bad impetigo due to scratching his eczema at a similar age and I really don't want to have that to deal with.

I won and paid for the bugaboo on the 6th, so I'm going to give it until Monday then start a dispute.

Rinnyx · 17/03/2011 14:14

The cream was Fucidin H and then the was diprobath to put in his bath water.
Also tried Oilatum junior cream
Sounds like she might be going down the road Isaac did, I would go to your GP and bug them to request you been seen by a specilist
The 2 creams I have been given that I have to mix together are
bactroban and hydrocortisone

Yeah give it til Monday then they have had 2 weeks to atleast ship it.
What did they list the ship out time as, most people put 1-2 days or 6 at the most

bunnygirl80 · 17/03/2011 22:59

4mad your Bugaboo must be made of strong stuff - there's a bike shop near me where the main source of activity in the week is puncture repair for Bugaboos. Maybe that just says alot about the rubbish pavements in Sydney Hmm

babybean Evie's swimming badge is so cute

fen glad Norry's enjoying the CM.

rinny hope the new creams start to work. My DH was given fucidin for his eczema by the GP and it just made it worse too, hydrocortisone is the only stuff that's ever worked for me or DH. So far Will hasn't suffered, but I'm pretty sure he will at some point with me and DH both having it

Am feeling seriously sleep deprived today. William has woken every 90mins for the last 3 nights. Not sure why - definitely not hunger as he will comfort suck on the boob but doesn't do enough to let down the milk. Won't take his dummy though, only my nipple will do and he's pretty much chewed them to shreds. Can't decide if his tummy's hurting because he's started solids and his poos are getting more difficult, or if it's his teeth hurting him cos one's about to break through the gum, or worse still both! He seems to be grunting and straining when he wakes, which would suggest tummyache, but then he just wants to munch on something which suggests teeth Confused

hmmSleep · 18/03/2011 09:09

Poor William bunny, and poor you. Lottie sometimes wants to suck to get her digestive system going, so sucks and squirms until she does a big poo then stops, basically I'm just a big human laxative to her, lovely. Perhaps William's doing the same?

CardiCorgi · 18/03/2011 11:21

Hello,
just checking in quickly as things seem quite hectic at the moment.
Aino is still wonderful but seems to be quite strong-headed (I wonder where she gets that from). The latest is that she has decided that bottles are the work of the deviil; I'm meant to be going back to work in 10 days time, so no idea what we are going to do about this. I'm encouraged by Fenouille, so lets hope that ano does the same as Norry.
Aargh, have just heard load explosive noises and the smell has made it#s way over here already...

4madboys · 18/03/2011 13:41

bunny, my bugaboo is the frog so the older version and everyone i know with a frog hasnt had a problem with them, i suspect the newer prams maybe arent as robust? they have different tyres on them i noticed, that look more 'streamlined' and trendy but maybe arent as durable?

oh dear, all these non sleeping, fussy babies, merryn was fussy the other week over her poos, no idea why but now she seems back to normal again.

unfortunately back to normal also mean fussing with her feeds Hmm had a few days where she consistently took 5oz a feed and fed with no bother, now its back to 3-4oz and that can take 40mins depending on her mood! still she is the smiliest little thing and very easy going the rest of the time, so i cant complain :)
