Hope all goes well today hmm

Fenouille · 17/02/2011 12:14

hmm hope the jabs have gone alright.

Norry's started doing the smiling mid feed too which is pretty cute. Certainly helps make up for the nights where he's only gone to sleep at 4...

Bean how exciting

umf Norry is definitely a social one. I don't really mind too much if he doesn't sleep during the day as we'll mostly want to do things with him at the weekend but it's the screaming as he fights off sleep that's getting us down at the moment. Your DS sounds positively delightful btw :)

smokeybacon · 17/02/2011 13:31

Hi all.

Firstly apologies to the Nottingham girls for not making the meet up on Tuesday. I did post on the thread but just in case..DS2 was poorly (temperature and def not himself) so he was off nursery and I had no help Tuesday till 3pm. So sorry to have missed it. Is there another planned?

Heard yesterday that DB is to start chemo on Monday. He has to have it daily for 5 days, then once a week for two weeks. Repeat this cycle x 3. Doctors have said 95% chance it will all be ok.

Have just done the twins passport applications just in case we need to go to Canada. Have no idea how the chemo will effect him. But at least the overall prognosis is good.

On other twins related news, jabs yesterday. Freddie took it all in his stride. Tobias was as cross as a cross thing but recovered after about 10 mins of proper howling. 3 jabs next time .

F is doing so well at night too. Its more often than not that he will go through till 5/5.30am from the 10.30pm feed. This morning it was 6.15am. Shame that T is still needing a night feed but am only giving 3oz in the hope that I can reduce it over the next few weeks to nothing.

hmm hope jabs went ok today.

4madboys · 17/02/2011 13:54

wow all these rolling babies!!

merryn hasnt even attempted to roll over, tho is only ten weeks, but ds2 and ds3 were both rolling at this age.

she does like to lie and bat at her toys on the baby gym tho, she really wacks them and sometimes startles herself i think but its lovely to see her watching her hands as she moves them, she looks so amazed bless her :)

hope jabs all go ok, poor little ones :(

and smokey thats good news about your brother, it sounds a positive prognosis, good plan on the passports, hopefully you can go just for a nice holiday! and re feeds in the night merryn feeds at about 6pm, goes down by 7pm and then i feed her at about midnight and she sleeps through till between 5-6am, oh how i would LOVE it if she could get through till 7am but hey i am not complaining she is really very good and interestingly when she has that feed at 5amish she tends to only take 3oz instead of her usual 5, so maybe she is getting to the stage where she will start to go through till morning? who knows but she is happy and content so i am not messing with her routine!

and its lovely to have so many of you on fb btw, i am having a loving time cooing over all the baby pics Grin

has anyone been watching one born every minute? i tend to record it and then watch it when dp is at work, as he is not a fan Hmm anyhow i watched this weeks last night and ended up crying at all the lovely births and babies, i am such a sucker, it ALMOST makes me want to do it again and then i think NOOOOO!!

Rinnyx · 17/02/2011 15:25

Dont worry 4mad Merryn is not alone, Isaac is 15 weeks Tuesday and still shows no interest in rolling I even did abit of tummy time with him today he was happy but when I tried to help/show him twice how to roll his bottom lip went and burst into tears Blush
Tho my baby is strange, I have found playing my chemical romance helps him carm and drift off to sleep...good job DP and I like their music Grin

smokey once again sening pos vibes your DB way x
Oh question smokey as I am going to sort DS passport did you put down master of DT title or leave blank as the is no option for that only Mr Confused

sarahbuff · 17/02/2011 15:33

Wow! Babies rolling already! :). Skye giggles when I tickle her tummy and smiles mid-feed when I smile at her which is quite lovely. And she gets a bit irritated if I stop cooing at her to talk to someone else. She's so different from my boys! She'sadding great with sleep still, sleeping 10pm til 8am every night since she was about 5 weeks old. And I weighed myself and then her and me on the scales this morning but I think it was fairly off as it showed 17lbs!! She was fully dressed, cloth nappy and all though so will try it without clothing and see if I get it a bit more accurate. She was 13lb 13oz at 8 weeks (13 weeks now) but even so, I doubt she's quite that heavy!

So glad to hear the prognosis is very good for your brother smokey, it must be very hard for you to be so far away while he's ill. My family all live in the US, and I'd feel so helpless if one of them got sick and I couldn't so much as give them a hug and cook them a meal... :(. Hope the treatment takes care of it and he gets back to full health quickly!

smokeybacon · 17/02/2011 16:31

Thank you all for your messages re DB. Fingers crossed. Its all the worse as he hasn't seen the DTs yet except over skype and I know he is desperate to.

rinny I put Master for each of them on the application.

Oh I hear snuffling and wriggling.....

harmonyb23 · 17/02/2011 17:45

Hello everyone!

Aiden is also a rolling baby, he did a couple of rolls on his play mat a couple of days ago but hasn't done it since so I don't know if it was a fluke.

Noticed many have been adding their Facebook names on here for others to add them. My name is Becky Hale and you can feel free to add me. Love seeing pictures of other peoples babies and obviously love showing off my own Grin

Had Aiden's third set of injections on Tuesday. He was not at all happy at having two in the one leg and screamed the doctor's surgery down! The nurse went to say goodbye to him while I was putting him in his buggy and he burst out in tears again as I think he thought he was getting another jab Sad poor baby!

Hope everyone is well. Hope things go OK for your DB smokeybacon.

Rinnyx · 17/02/2011 18:30

Thanks smokey odd its not a option seeing as they have everything else Hmm

hmmSleep · 17/02/2011 19:18

harmony, how was Aiden after his jabs? Lottie had her third lot today, when I told the nurse how long she screamed for last time she said it could have been an allergic reaction, so to keep an eye on her this time. She had the jabs at 10am, screamed then fed, but has now been asleep since 11am! That's 8 hours, she's never slept that long day or night before and not sure if I should worry or not Confused.

Also can't believe all these rolling babies, starting to think Lottie is a little slow, especially as apart from Aiden I think she's the oldest, must get her in training!

Rinnyx · 17/02/2011 19:36

I am dreading Isaac having his 3rd lot as on top of the 2 he also had some TB related jab due to his Chinese BG and will have to have another 1 or 2 end of the year if we go to HK and Thailand but so will all of us but atleast he wont be alone in the crying, I HATE needles Blush

Fenouille · 17/02/2011 20:02

Smokey Hope the treatment goes well for your brother.

Norry's only rolling from front to back so far so looks like he's got a bit of work to do. He's pretty strong though, standing with support and his head is quite steady. He seems to be rather disturbed by all the new people and places he's seen on holiday though so hopefully he'll calm down again when we get home.

Mibby · 17/02/2011 20:08

Hope all goes well for your brother smokey. You didnt miss much on Tue, only me and bookworm there. Will try to organise another one fairly soon

Wallace · 17/02/2011 20:43

Hope all goes well with your brother,s mokey

H has his second set of injections next week but going to cancel as he has not been well since the last ones.

No rolling here either (13 weeks)

I have a new nephew called Freddie, picture on my [http://www.mumsnet.com/Profile?nick=Wallace&photos=p profile] :)

Wallace · 17/02/2011 20:47

oops s=p profile

Wallace · 17/02/2011 20:48

profile Hmm

harmonyb23 · 18/02/2011 10:06

hmmsleep Aiden was OK after his jabs. Wasn't happy having two in one leg but once he had calmed down he was fine. Gave him some Calpol in the evening as he had a bit of a temperature but he has been fine ever since. He doesn't sleep much during the day but does sleep about 8-10 hours at night and that hasn't changed after his injections. But then, all babies are different. As you said it's probably just a good idea to keep an eye on things especially if Lottie may have had an allergic reaction, poor baby Sad

Boo!

Anyone there?

Mibby · 20/02/2011 16:35

Hi smokey, hows your DS2?

Vix7 · 20/02/2011 16:52

Hmm.... It's gone all quiet here.

K's gone for 2 baby swim classes so far, nt sure if she likes it but at least she doesn't scream blue murder when in the pool.

Totally envious of babes sleeping thru the nite. She still wakes 4h after going down for feed 1 then another 4h after for feed 2. Sigh. Trying to implant sleep routine but nt going v smoothly.

Phew, made it back home finally. Poor old Norry didn't know whether he was coming our going by the end of it. GPs loved spending time with him though and I can add a ferry, Mcdonalds and a service station as new places I've breast fed!

Hope everyone's been having nice weekends. Great news about the flat too Lainey
