It's like he's forgotten how to sleep. Our so excited that he doesn't want to miss a single minute.

Rinnyx · 12/02/2011 20:07

Sending positive vibes your way smokey

Oh bunnygirl80 that is so depressing to read, Nov 11 babies already :(
I am so broody already its not even funny and not so DP say a big fat NO to 3rd and final baby :(

I dont know if this will work but a video I grabbed today

Lainey1981 · 13/02/2011 01:08

just quickly popping on as had rotten day househunting - will update/read tomorrow

have added a couple of new pics to my profile (taken about 10 days ago)

Fenouille · 13/02/2011 08:57

Lainey sorry to hear the house hunting's not been going well. Will the company pay for a hotel for a month or so until you get things sorted?

Rinny I think I can safely say that you must be crazy Grin Brody already? Shock How do you find the time?!

Well once we finally persuaded Norry to sleep (11 hours awake the poor thing was just running on adrenaline) he's done a normal night's sleep, so I'm hoping we can get back to normal today with some extra long naps to help with the sleep catch up.

JFly · 13/02/2011 09:13

Bookworm, good luck for your test!

Lainy and hmm, you have gorgeous babies!

Smokey, very sorry to hear about your brother. Is it non Hodgkins lymphoma? Only wonder b/c a teenage cousin of mine has been treated for that over the last 6 months and she is responding very well to treatment. I hope that your brother does, too.

Here's a little photo I took of my boys the other day.

b00kw0rm · 13/02/2011 14:53

Thanks for the good luck message Jfly - I still have another week but am bricking it... had so little practice!
Smokey so sorry to hear about your DB- hope you know a bit more soon.
4madboys- DH and I have been bickering loads- just silly arguments because we're both tired, not helped by the fact that he's out at work all day and the kids are not exactly at their best when is he at home. Also not helped by the fact that I'm not really interested in sex at the moment Blush
Hmm - James is a fatty too compared to DD and I too revel in his rolls of flab!
Nottingham mummies- see you Tuesday!

4madboys · 13/02/2011 19:21

re babies and sleep, today merryn has hardly slept at all, so she turned into a screaming blob, NOTHING that i was doing was working and dp is at work till tomorrow evening, so i was trying to do dinner, deal with the boys and her, in the end i took her upstairs, swaddled her up and put her in my bed, she settled IMMEDIATELY, it was like i was trying too hard, all her screaming and me rocking, patting etc etc and as soon as i swaddled her and put her down in the dark the screaming stopped, she murmered a bit and dozed off!

now i just have to get the four boys to bed without disturibing her, made harder by the fact that ds4 still sleeps in our room...

bookworm, dp and i have managed to have a chat and sort ourselves out, he also looked after merryn yesterday evening so i could catch up on some sleep and a bit this morning so i could have a bath and shave my legs, i realised its the first time i have had a bath since merryn was born (i have been having a shower every day obviously) but she was ten weeks old today and i hadnt managed to have a bath or shave my legs until today Blush i am not really a minger honestly!

oh and i think my dp is also wanting sex....... ha ha ha tho i may feel more up for it now that my legs are not so hairy! but he is at work tonight anyway!

Fenouille · 13/02/2011 21:02

4mad Strangely enough DH and I have been arguing less than usual. No idea why - perhaps we're both too knackered Grin Your day with Merryn sounds hellish but I'm glad you managed to get her to calm down. Good luck with the other four!

BorisTheBold · 13/02/2011 21:53

4mad that's almost weird as we considered Mirren for A! Yep will post pics after, assuming I look half decent (be aware I am going to be a mega plus sized bride!).

Astrid has a chest infection at the moment, and dd2 came down with an infection in both ears on Weds night. Both are now on anti-bs and the gp has taken the precaution of not giving A penicillin based anti-bs as both dd1 and dd2 are alleric to penicllin - first sensible thing the docs have said for a while Grin. Hope Merryn is feeling a bit better this evening.

I was so grumpy yesterday, it was dp's only day off and I let him lie in (even though I'd been uo til 1am on Tues, up all night with dd2 on Weds and up til 2am on Thurs and still got up at the same time as him every day grr). I was supposed to have a kip in the afternoon for a few hours to catch up but he decided to make a cake for his bloody workmates rather than supervising the three kids. No sleep = miserable me. I think he realised later when I stomped off for a bath and snored loudly fell asleep in it Grin.

Pic of A asleep on DSD3's lap

bunnygirl80 · 14/02/2011 00:51

fen Will did the daytime nap refusal thing last week - he didn't sleep more than 20mins at a time for a whole day but was so overtired he just cried and cried while he was awake. He went back to normal the following day though.

Have bought a copy of "no cry sleep solution" and she talks about daytime sleep refusal being linked to either a developmental leap or new and exciting surroundings that baby doesn't want to miss out on by sleeping. She recommends just sitting with them in a quiet place for an hour at naptime even if they won't sleep so they at least get some downtime. Hopefully Norry will be back to normal tomorrow for you Smile

4mad DH and I had the biggest row we've had in years yesterday. It culminated in me loading poor Will into the pram and leaving the house for a few hours because I was so Angry. Have got a nice box of chocs by way of apology though so it's not all bad Grin

rinny broody already Shock

boris - it is seeing as my older dd is Mirren!

Wallace · 14/02/2011 09:19

rhyn - lovely vid :)

4madboys · 14/02/2011 09:47

well once merryn was asleep last night shed stayed asleep till i went to bed at midnight (WHY did i stay up that late) and i then fed her and then she slept through till 5:40 Grin whoop!! then went back to sleep and i woke her at 8am as we have to go out at 8:10 am to get boys to school, i literally changed her nappy, but snowsuit over her babygrow and put her in the sling, she went back to sleep in the sling but is just now woken, she hasnt had a feed since that one just before 6am so am assuming she must be getting hungry!

BORIS hope kids get better asap, merryn has a cold and cough, but not poorly enough for the drs i dont think.

RINNY you MUST have another baby as the ones you have are soo cute Grin

i cant seem to upload pics onto mn, BUT i am on fb as sarahrebecca pearson, anyone that wants to add me can and then you can see pics of my brood, my profile pic is currently ds3 hanging upside down...

4madboys · 14/02/2011 09:50

and whoever said take an overtired baby to a quiet place, that is a GREAT idea in principle, but not when you have other kids to be looking after.

with merryn i think she is TOO nosy if there is stuff going on, she is also full of cold and developmentally she is starting to play with her hands, bat at toys on the baby gym etc so that would make sense, i remember the boys would always get a bit grumpy and crap at sleeping just before they learnt something new, so basically most of the first three years of their lives then Hmm

BorisTheBold · 14/02/2011 11:45

Morning all!

Have been a busy little bee today. A went to bed early last night at 11.30 Grin slept through until 5.30am and has been asleep ever since. I got he up at 8.30am, changed her nappy, gave her medicine and stuffed her into her snowsuit before taking my older two to school. Dropped them off, came home and prepped dinner, tidied up, hoovered, washed the horrible slimy mould off all of the upstairs windows, blitzed both kids rooms and the bathroom and am now enjoying five mins peace before waking A up for some milk and medicine!

I may spend the rest of the day doing nuffink now!

4MAD have sent across a fb friend request.

4madboys · 14/02/2011 11:59

have accepted requests Grin

that sounds like merryns morning boris, she was asleep, had to wake her for school run and stuck her in sling, came home, she stayed asleep, then woke had milk and then i laid her under the baby gym whilst i changed ds4 and she has gone to sleep! Grin i think i shall grab a quick cup of tea.

and boris you must sit down now, you have done far too much housework already!

4madboys · 14/02/2011 12:57

well merryn is still asleep!

and i am Grin as the new seat i order for the phil and teds has arrived! i have an old style e 3 phil and teds given to me by a friend, which is great! but merryn is too long to go underneath lying flat, and yet the seat that comes with it is only from 6mths as it doesnt recline. i realised the new style sports toddler seats DO recline AND that they fit my old phil and teds, so i managed to get one from ebay for £23!! bargain. most of the time merryn is in the sling but it will be good to be able to put her in the pushchair when i need to! tho the weight of pushing merryn AND ds4!! well its good exercise i guess!

hmmSleep · 14/02/2011 13:45

I'm impressed with these sleeping babies, Lottie's had a better couple of nights, but still nothing like Astrid and Merryn Envy.

Loving all the cute baby photos! If anyone wants to add me on facebook I don't want to put my name on here, but if you've already befriended 4madboys look who she added yesterday, I'm the one with the same first name as her!

Fenouille and bunnygirl, Lottie has also done the nap refusal and worked herself up into a right state. I'll definitely try the quiet sitting if she does it again.

mumcha · 14/02/2011 13:54

Hi all happy valentines day hope everyone got somethimg nice.Well Oliver is still doing fantastic sleeping he now goes from 9.30 till 8.00am which is great as it gives me time in the mornings to get the other boys fed ,washed and dressed for school .

Rinnyx · 14/02/2011 13:57

Yep broody already tho would wait til next year but DP is being evil and sticking to his guns
Maybe I can get his side of the family to help me wear him down when we go see them end of the year Grin

Are we doing Facebook adds again?
Add me :) I'm Diana searle, pic is of me and Isaac

sarahbuff · 14/02/2011 15:38

Hello everyone and Happy Valentine's Day! :) Haven't kept up with the posts for awhile, so just been quickly perusing I'm afraid, did someone mention the 30 day shred? I looked it up and it looks pretty good, I ordered the DVD which will hopefully come in the next couple days. When DC3 was about a year old I started doing some Tae Bo on youtube (with the curtains firmly drawn Blush ) and that really helped me get into better shape, and after that started running which helped me lose some weight too. With each child it has taken longer to start shifting the baby weight, and seeing as Skye is DC4, it is no surprise that I have not lost any weight except what came off at the birth. sigh So I figure the best I can do until the switch sort of goes is to get in better shape. Haven't been running/walking since a few weeks before she was born and am definitely sporting the jiggly baby belly at the moment... Hoping the exercise will remind my body that breastfeeding should be burning that belly fat!! Grin

4madboys · 14/02/2011 17:16

hmmsleep, merryn has only just started in the last two weeks or so and the midnight through till 5am is only the last two nights, before then she was waking for a feed at 3or4am. they do all get there, eventually.

tbh after my first three were such poor sleepers i was hugely impressed by ds4 who has always been a good sleeper and dd is not as good as him, but much better than the elder three were. we havent done anything different with them, so i think its just temprement etc. even now at 11yrs old ds1 is still a poor sleeper.

i need to start some exercise, have the school run, so two hours walking a day, various trips to the park etc with the boys and i am planning on trying to go swimming once a week, i have davina dvds which i have always found good for shifting the weight, but i just dont feel like doing them once i have finally got everyone in bed and that is the only time i do get to do them...

BUT the reality is that our babies are all still young, 9mths on, at LEAST 9mths to come off generally, unless you are rinny!! Grin who i met and who is enviably slim, but some people just are.

i am currenlty a size 12 and not the size 10 i normally am and have a muffin top thing going on, but it will go away, it did with the last four, my biscuit habit isnt helping tho! Blush

Rinnyx · 14/02/2011 19:05

Lol don't hate me for being a skinny cow, with skinny cow comes no boobs, oh how I must my preggers boobs! Blush

4madboys · 14/02/2011 19:35

aw bless, i could never hate you rinny! let me know days you are free in half term, i may have the whole gang with me, would your dd be ok wiht being so outnumbered?!! Grin

Rinnyx · 14/02/2011 19:47

I should have my first driving lesson tomorrow since 36 weeks pregnant so will see what days I will be having lessons from then on
