mlic an all-round fabulous result! Have checked this thread so many times today dying to hear what happened!

Such a relief that there's nothing 'wrong'.

As you and chulita said it's not long now til he'll be starting solids and that will help. Hopefully he'll get the hang of the new cup and that'll help him get the milk down. Felix had a doidy for water from 6m and used to get lots down so fingers crossed W will learn to adapt to his quickly.

Phew!!!

CakeandRoses · 03/11/2010 20:45

Oh and this will make you laugh...

Felix has become obsessed with the concept of things being in locations, eg work and home. He keeps listing all the things at home (Felix, Mummy, Aurelia, Horace (the cat), my chair, Mummy's chair, Aurelia's chair, my spoon and so on). Today he informed me his willy was at home. Which was good to know.

Lol at all the toddlers. mlic, that's a fab result, I'm so glad people are listening to you and finally trying to help properly.
WRT supermarkets, our nearest is a rubbish Tesco, but there's also a huge sainsburys within walking distance, which is quite. For preference I like Morrison though. As far as I can see, waitrose isn't worth it unless you live on ready meals and excrete money.

kkfairybrains · 03/11/2010 22:59

Great news mlic that theres nothing wrong with him as such! although i remember you saying a long time ago that you thought it was his suck. A pity that its taken until now to find out for sure but brilliant that the professionals are aware and will do all they can to help.
Ellie was very grizzly this evening after the jabs and puked her last bottle up. She doesnt jave a temperature or anything though so hopefully a sleep will sort her out.
Stac hows riliegh? back to herself? how did docs go with jack?

stac14 · 03/11/2010 23:28

lol @ the toddlers they say some hilarious things. When jack was little shrek was out and he went about telling people he wore ladies underwear haha

kk i have to keep a headache diary for him with a note of foods to see if we can find a trigger because i take migraines they said thats likely what it is. Rileigh's fab so much better than she was except waking during the night and teething lol. We have jabs tomorrow hope ellies better soon x

dh anifers stopped posting before she had her lo and hasn't been on since I don't think. Hope everything went ok with her, she used to post a lot.

Speaking of toddlers, I was in the shower this morning and dd pointed out my lady bits so I dutifully said 'bits' and she spent the next 10 mins holding herself and saying 'bits' Blush should've said 'vagina' cos there's no way she could pronounce that!

mlic glad you're pleased, sooo good to know that he's just a pickle!

Put S down one way for his nap and went up to get him to find him the other way up. He was looking most chuffed with himself :)

stac14 · 04/11/2010 09:29

you ok mlic?

Lol chulita wow at S no wonder he looked chuffed

We have jabs today not looking forward to it as theres 3 today. Whats everyone else up to? X

Morning, Dylan was up alot last night, dont know specific times but managed to sleep til 9am.

Ive got a 4 week baby massage class which starts today, one a week every thurs. Im really looking forward to it, just hope Dylan doesnt go rolling around all over the place now he has learnt how!

Needle · 04/11/2010 09:48

Lol chulita, gwen has started doing a 180 spin in her cot overnight, but when I moved her from the huge travel cot to her normal cot it was too small and she got stuck halfway. By the time I went in to wake her she looked sooo pissed off!

stac, gwen had her 2nd lot on Tuesday. She was so good bless her, and hardly cried, but I'm absolutely dreading the third lot. I gave her a bath with bedtime bath wash and sleepy powder immediately before I left for the docs, so she was really chilled out for the ordeal, I think that's why it went so well. I'd be interested to know if it works for anyone else.

stac they changed the advice re giving calpol etc for jabs - they now reckon it can reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine.

see this article for instance.

Personally, I'd still give A some if she was v unwell with a high temperature but would avoid giving as a preemptive measure.

Crap night's sleep here - A's growth spurt in full swing - she woke up at 4am, 6am then 8am.

I didn't go to sleep til 1am anyway as DH had been out and i struggle to sleep til he's back (he got back at 12.30am actually but we chatted for a bit - doh!!)

Hoping to catch up a bit on sleep as F is in nursery and I'm not up to much until meeting a friend for late lunch at 2pm.

DH home from work late tonight so i can't hand over Dcs to him ready to go to my evening course so some (very) kind friends are going to take them both until DH gets back. Really hope they don't regret offering!

chulita funnily enough, the same scene happened in our house yesterday but for some mad reason I told F it was my 'undercarriage' Hmm. He just gave me a WTF?! look and walked off. Really hoping he doesn't mention anyone's undercarriage at nursery today!

CakeandRoses · 04/11/2010 10:35

mlic! I've not heard you speak about anyone like that before! I don't blame you tho, know-it-all comments about the bloody HV were the last thing you needed. Deffo a clear case of de-friending needed there, if ever I heard one.

Can i just state for the record that i don't usually refer to my bits as an undercarriage Grin

stac14 · 04/11/2010 10:42

thanks cakes see what i mean bout being out of touch, i'll try the bath like you did needles and whats sleepy powders?

I would be tempted to mail mlic but like you would i bother lol nevermind her hun

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 04/11/2010 10:47

stac tbh, it's hard for anyone to keep up as things change so much all the time - it's not just you so please don't think that! Advice has even changed between having my two, only 21 months apart!

That's one of the great things about having this thread - we've got a better chance of keeping up-to-date if we all share knowledge.

Chulita · 04/11/2010 11:40

Lol at 'undercarriage', wish I'd thought of that.
mlic I'm not looking forward to S finding his willy, or dd finding it come to think of it. She already has a fascination with watering it in the bath! Sorry, cross-posted with you earlier - I like fb but sometimes people's comments can right piss me off!
needle sleepy powders? sounds awesome!
stac hope the jabs go ok today.
Got my new double buggy Grin I was going to go for a waddle run later on but it's miserable here so it might have to wait til a brighter day.

CakeandRoses · 04/11/2010 12:00

Just thought... has gracie123 been around recently?

stac14 · 04/11/2010 12:05

weather is crap here so dd and i are still in jammies until we go to the gp. Your right cakes i am glad i can come on here for advice. Thanks chulita no wonder your not going for a run dc's will be nice and dry but you'd be drenched. I remember when ds found his willy he looked as though he would pull it off, it was like it was made of chewing gum lol x
