bead and clumsy I too am one of the lucky ones, my DP is amazing, he gets up every morning with DD before he goes to work, so I can have an extra couple of hours in bed, even if I'm not asleep and am breatfeeding it's so nice to have that extra bit of time.
He has supported me at every emotional meltdown I've had (before and since having kids) and his patience with DD even when he's knackered and she's being a very testy almost 3 year old blows me away!

He tells me everyday that he loves me and that I'm beautiful even when I feel so far away from beautiful in my own mind he never stops reminding how he feels about me.

Sorry folks for all having rubbish times with their partners but I just wanted to send some good press out there too!!

beaditAli · 30/11/2010 14:11

sassy what a gorgeous idea! Here goes:
*Jack..... The actual beanstalk of a chap that I am!
Sometimes my mummy swears I'm not from her as I'm so good and she was an absolutely horrid baby according to my Gran and Grandpa! Smile
I love to sleep..... I think that's my favourite game then probably eating! I absolutely LOVE my food but I won't over stuff myself. Infact... I'm a bit of a grazer but it's good for my metabolism! Smile Tho mightily annoying for Mummy who I'm sure is longing for me to drink more than 3.5 oz!
I smile at everything! Even the ceiling in my house is funny! I'm very energetic, like my parents... just won't sit still unless i'm asleep! I thrash around like a wind up toy on speed. In my basket, on my play mat on my changing mat. Ooooooo and let my bum out to breathe and I'll really go for it!
I twitch my left nostril up when I'm awake and just checking things out. Just exercising all the vital parts! Wink
I frown like a clown! Honestly, it's comedy! just like an upside down u on my face!
I'd say I'm a chilled out dude with the strength of a bear and a smile for anyone! And I'll sleep on any shoulder willing to give me space!
Nice to meet you all!
Love Jack! xx

beaditAli · 30/11/2010 14:15

Jack again..... just forgot to mention I'm not so sure about the bath yet! Not good, not bad just no decision yet but I'll let you know when I've decided. Strange coz Mummy is a fishy!
Any ideas on making it more fun?.... I can tell Daddy then.

mellymooks · 30/11/2010 14:29

Ahh loving this idea sassy

Flynn is cheeky chap, and has the widest grin and a deepest chuckle that warms the cockles of your heart.
He loves to stare at the ceiling and his hands they are the most fascinating things apparently.
He would much rather sleep on you whilst you move about.
He wriggles and kicks constantly even when he's asleep and makes the loudest grunty noises for someone so tiny.
He knows his big sister's voice and starts grinning the minute he hears her coming.
His eyes sparkle with joy when he sees his mama and dada.
He'starting to get tintin hair on the top of his head that's all so soft and fuzzy.
His eyes have already turned a definite brown.
He has dimples just like his big sis too.
I love him.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/11/2010 14:31

sassy34264 it sounds like your dp is not his usual self at all. Don't worry about the language, there are only 2 occasions I swear at dh and when I'm driving!!!!! It sounds like a nightmare time for you all but if things don't change when you get in the house you will have to start looking after yourself more. After I spoke to dh he now asks me if I think Luke's hungry when he wakes at night and if I say he shouldn't be he will go. I know how you feel, Jacob sounds a lot like ds1! He was much better from about 16 weeks and an absolute dream from 8 months until now really. Luke is a lovely chilled out baby most of the time but he is up a lot more a night than ds1 ever was.

We only have a few cms bananastew :(

Sounds like a busy time beaditAli! My doggy hates it, dh walks her in the mornings during the week and he often has to drag her around! She used to be ok but wondering if she needs a coat now she's getting older, she was 10 this year.

It's my birthday Grin! But I have had no presents as dh left at 7 and I didn't really want to be up any earlier than that and wanted ds1 to be there too as he likes to help. Been a normal day with lots of children so far but we are getting and Indian take away for tea tonight.

11w+1

cinnamongreyhound · 30/11/2010 14:57

Sorry spent so long writing that last post missed the bit about babies personalities. Kids awake and off on school run but will post about Luke a bit later!

beaditAli · 30/11/2010 15:04

cinnamon Our late hound had his coat in most chilly weather never mind snow! He was a hunky greyhound but still froze in the late autumn, winter!
Happy, happy birthday

Jack has been asleep ALL day Confused thinking maybe it's the toasty central heating??

Chelle1986 · 30/11/2010 15:15

Hi all,

Beadit - just don't like it. Am one of those people that trips over a flat surface and hate it every year when it gets icy. But this year I've got myself in a bit of a panic about it if I'm honest....am really scared to go out in the car with the baby in case I have an accident and ditto with the pram in case I fall and hurt him.... Sad.... and we haven't even got snow and ice that badly yet. Managed to make myself cry with panic just thinking about it actually....don't know whats wrong with me. Am being pathetic I guess.

People (mum/dp) go on and on about getting out - "You'll feel better if you get some air" - which just makes me feel more pathetic.

Anywho....lovely idea re the personalities Sassy.

Oliver is the strongest baby ever and pulls himself up on my fingers so he can sit up for a better view - he's very nosey and loves to have a birdseye view of everything. AT ALL TIMES! His hands are massive - he is going to be the next Pepe Reina!

His smile makes me melt and he shouts with huge "oooohs" and "aaahhhs" which have frightened the dog several times. GrinHaven't had any giggles yet - but he is trying really hard.

He loves being naked and loves baths with mummy and daddy.

Happy birthday Cinammon. Hope you have a lovely day when DH gets home.

Chelle1986 · 30/11/2010 15:16

Sorry - Olly 9+2

Debs75 · 30/11/2010 15:18

Lucy is a happy little girl who loves company.
Her most favourite place in the world is laid on daddy's chest where she often falls asleep.
Her hands are made for chewing and she can nearly get a whole fist in.
She is realising that boobies mean food and we ofetn get an excited squeal before latching on
She likes to hold hands when feeding
She has a huge smile for all the family
She laughed for me for the first time todayGrin
She likes to be held upright and will wrap her arms around you for a cuddle
She hates to be laid down anywhere but our bed
If her hat slips down over her eyes she panics

Debs75 · 30/11/2010 15:22

Cinamon My bassett hound loves the snow and dragged me to the chippy and back last night through 6" of snow. I had to let her off in the end, she sped off to the green and rolled in it for ages. she doesn't have a coat as to fit her length they are too long for her legs.

beaditAli · 30/11/2010 15:26

beaditAli · 30/11/2010 15:33

Wish I could record this little man snoring away on me. He sounds like an angry hair drier Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 30/11/2010 16:20

Debs DH had a basset hound when he was a teenager and he loved her, but he said she was the most stubborn dog ever and she never tired!! He did say our greyhound has now overtaken her to be his favourite.

beaditAli I recorded Luke snoring while asleep on me the other day using my phone, so much cuter than dh snoring Wink

Luke is a very chilled out baby, he only cries when he's tired(which is usually after about an hour awake!) or hungry. Loves sitting in his bouncy chair hitting the teddies and looking out of the window at the world going by. Sleeps A LOT! Loves his milk and definitely knows who his mummy is. Has lots ofsmiles for everyone but hasn't laughed yet. Happy laying down and sitting up and likes to stand if he gets the chance. Took a while but loves the bath now.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/11/2010 16:22

Also beaditAli when Luke has a bottle of ebm he never has more than 4oz so your little man isn't that unusual!

watersprite · 30/11/2010 18:29

Really fed up today Maria-Ann has done nothing but scream all day and will only settle with me :( Last night she slept from 11pm till 3am, think I woke her up as I was having a really bad nightmare and woke up screaming.

Can't wait to go back to Uni and have some normality back, sounds quite selfish really but I'm stuck in everyday. My 0/H goes to the gym everyday for an hour and does boxing one day a week, I feel like I get no me time at the moment and the weather is to bad to go out in. Would like to give a bit more with my other daughter but I'm just so tired with the sheer lack of sleep! sound like a really bad parent now :( sorry for the moan just had to get it of my chest x

Only snowed for half an hr last night so not much snow here.

JodeyLea · 30/11/2010 18:37

Lovely idea.

Harlyn: 8 weeks and 4 days, 12lbs 9 ounces & 59cm in length.

He is very nosey and loves to follow me with his eyes when I'm pottering around. He loves to bounce in his bouncy chair and to bang the little hippo that dangles above it. He has the cutest smile and often screws his nose up when he's having happy times which just makes me grin from ear to ear. He loves the bath, especially trying to kick away from your tummy and have a little (well supported) float. He now sits on my lap holding onto my hands, looks me right in the eyes and pulls the most wonderful gurning facial expressions. He also has massive hands and is very strong. He tries to pull himself up to standing for a few seconds with a look of real determination and focus. He loves to sleep through the night but not in the day as he is too scared to miss something. I have found he loves twinkly Christmas lights so I'm just about to put up my tree (very early i know). He prefers daytimes as the nights bring with them nasty windy pops! Oh, and he farts like a beer swigging, curry munching bloke! Ha ha. Grin
His favourite pass time is defo food. He is a greedy gannet and loves to guzzle down his milk.

I wouldn't change him for the world (gripes an all) x x

bananastew · 30/11/2010 20:22

Happy Birthday Cinnammon

Great idea Sassy

Olly is either smiling or sleeping! He's been laughing for as long as he's been smiling & all I have to do is smile & him too get the most gorgeous gummy grin. He loves having his hands clapped together & mummys singing, especially the lion sleeps tonight! He spent ages today chatting to his cow teddy & the lights in the lounge! He has the cutest bottom lip when he's about to cry & can go from happy, contented, smily to all out screaming for food in a milli second!

On a sad note, my auntie died this afternoon! not got much else to say about that one! Sad

bananastew · 30/11/2010 20:23

oh! 8 inches of snow & its still coming!

saoirse86 · 30/11/2010 20:48

I'm so sorry to hear about your auntie banana

DP drives me up the wall sometimes with his lack of help. He's only done 2 night feeds ever despite us bottle feeding since she was 5 days old. He does cook food for me if I ask him and he'll change her as long as it's not pooey (he heaves when he sees/smells/hears about the poo so it just annoys me more than helping me). But then he does things to make me laugh like a school girl and it's all better.

saoirse86 · 30/11/2010 21:01

Orlaith has had 2 nights in the last few days where she's slept for 6 hours straight and I've been so impressed with her. Last night was one of those nights, but for some reason I was extra sleepy and I didn't even hear her wake up at 8am until DP got out of bed to pick her up.
She loves, loves, loves to walk and stand (with a little help). She can hold her head up no problem now so she sits in the corner of the sofa and watches everything. She loves the tv and the digital photo frame, and watching daddy and the dog playing together.
She has a zebra that she loves and she pushes it all the time and talks to it, but she doesn't like her other toys at all.
She loves the sound of her own voice and is really starting to work out how many different noises she can make.
She smiles more and more every day and always make an 'uuuuurrrggghhhh' sound when she smiles, and often turns her head away as though she's shy about it. When she's sad she does the upside down u-shaped mouth too as though she's seen a cartoon picture of what a sad face looks like just like this Sad (except without the blue).
She loves being entertained and is very sociable. She'll go to anyone and wants to be out all the time seeing lots of new things.
She's perfect Smile

saoirse86 · 30/11/2010 21:02

Oh and happy birthday cinnamon

mapletrees · 30/11/2010 21:06

Happy birthday cinnamon, and I'm sorry about your auntie banana.

I'm loving reading about everyone's LOs. Great idea sassy. I don't have time to tell you about Louis tonight but will try to tomorrow...

sassy34264 · 30/11/2010 21:38
