Spangle - so lovely to hear from you, and so, so lovely to hear your news! about the quicky labour! Have been wondering about you for a while, so glad all is well

Tummum - is DH back???!!!

We have the most ridiculous icicles here! We live next door to some warden assisted flats and there are two HUGE icicles - about 3 feet long - I swear they are going to snap and hit some poor old biddy. It will be like something out of Midsomers Murders!

Anyway, on that gruesome note - wishing you all a lovely Christmas, hope there aren't any family bust ups! Am off to my ILs tomorrow in Worcester for a buffet then on to my parents in Wiltshire on Boxing Day, snow permitting. (Please God don't snow in Worcester tomorrow!!) Also a fab new year to you all xx

We're off to my parents' for lunch and then (snow permitting!) we fly off to Ireland on Sunday morning to go and see DH's family for a few days. Can't wait to see O with all his irish cousins!

RL been full of poorlies on and off one after the other except me.. dh & grace currently the worst. G's temp only 99.9 today hit 104.2 yesterday before our trip to doctor. dh coming down with flu & in bed.
been working hard on my patterns & lots more to update you on when things Settle down a bit :)

Hello all! Hope everyone is recovered from everything and that all Christmases went smoothly!

Sorry for absence - I have no excuses really as we haven't been anywhere or done anything! Christmas lovely and quiet, DH back at work now so it's life as normal really!

What's everyone doing for new year? Bottle of wine and Jools Holland here, I reckon.

Popping to in to say Happy New Year all. Have hardly been on here but am managing to keep up on FB (thank god I have an iphone).

NYE was great here. We even managed to throw a party!! We had some friends and their kids round from about 6pm till 9.30pm till the kids got knackered. After we had cleared up and got the DSs to bed, we hit a wall and sad to say didn't make it to midnight by only 10 mins!! The DTs slept the whole party and then partied themselves from about 1.30am for an hour. Little monkeys. Still, a good night, if I was knackered all next day and still am TBH.

Hope everyone well/getting better and we can all get chatting again soon.

We've all been ill again to feel a bit like I should be having another holiday to compensate. But only three or so weeks before I finish work so can't complain.

My DS 1 is being unnaturally good at the moment. He has been great company and itt has been so nice to give my shouty side a rest.

Hello everyone. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas holiday. I have Name Changed but I used to have a large stomach and be a mum IYKWIM.

Well, mine has been quite eventful. and DH and I have decided to split up. It's a long story, and not one I want to go into, but the end of it gets me to a place where we will be happier apart.

At the moment I am feeling quite calm about it, and we are being friendly and civil (and probably are quite relieved.) The road ahead is probably going to be totally horrible, but I don't think it can be as bad as the past couple of days / weeks for me. I don't know what else to say . I am dreadfully upset and saddened by the situation but I absolutely feel it's best for us both and our family to not be together.

I am going back to work tomorrow and hoping that a return to a routine where I am not at home will help my mental health, which, if I am honest, isn't exactly brilliant at the moment.

Hope I don't put a dampener on the thread and we can get chatting again soon.

Oh cupboard I don't know what to say but please have a hug if you need one. Don't feel that you can't talk about things its what we're here for if you need us. Also, I don't think I'm all that far away from you so if there is anything you need, or fancy escaping for a cuppa or something, just shout xx

Quiet Christmas and New Year here in the omnom household- we were reading in bed at midnight on NYE in fact if I'm totally honest we had already put the light out having given up on trying to see the new year in but were alerted to the new year by fireworks going off- I rolled over mumbled 'happy new year' at DP and went back to sleep

Oh cupboard. Am so sorry to read your news. Stay strong. You know it will get better and it sounds like you have done a lot of soul searching to come to this decision. Hugs to you.

I hope you all had a great festive period, and all the best for 2011. It's been a long time since my last post, probably just bacause I've been in survival mode - it's one long road of survival. The kids are great but so full on, I crave a bit of time alone, as I'm sure most of you do. Anyway, I'll get my wish with a few nights in hospital later this month, followed by 3 month recovery so I may be here a bit more!

Meanwhile, happy new year to everyone. Back to work this week, ugh. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We were at my ILs and had a buffet. Clearly not easy with DD, so she perched on a kitchen stool and ate her emergency left overs from the day before with me holding on to the stool for dear life, whilst everyone else nibbled on turkey rolls and rice salad in the lounge.

Thanks to everyone for congrats here and on FB. So far life seems easier with toddler plus baby than toddler plus being heavily pregnant - but then I haven't been on my own with them for a full day yet so I may revise my opinion!

It was indeed a very quick labour - made it to hospital with 50mins to spare, and that was only because we bypassed dropping H off at my Dad's and left him in the car while DH took me up to the MLU . Fortunately DH made it back in time! I hope this isn't going to sound annoying but it was so much easier than I was expecting - my bump was measuring huge & the mw told me the day before P was back to back (luckily she turned), so I was expecting an awful labour. I couldn't believe it when I felt her crowning after just a few pushes.

smokey I'm incredibly impressed at you hosting a NY party. Wow. We entertained on Christmas Day - by which I mean my Mum came round and did all the cooking and clearing up while DH looked after H and I just sat on the sofa with P, but even that was exhausting.

It's an extremely wriggly boy!
Was lovely to see him on the scan, although at one point the radiographer showed us his face straight on and it was a spooky skull, am sure he is gorgeous in the flesh!

blimey spangle you cut it fine with getting to the hospital and hurrah for an easy labour
