New Fred. Apologies for dullness of title - we need curly for witticisms.

There will be no wedding - at least not here. :( We are just back from the town hall and STILL they will not accept our documentation - this time from the Scottish Registrar. They have said that if we go back to the UK to get married then that STILL isn't enough to make jailbait Bear's daddy. :( I'm starting to think my child will never have a father - even if we go back to the UK and did a legal adoption these pricks would still probably ask us to prove we weren't married to others on his DOB. We have fucking apostilled papers from Edinburgh saying they've checked the records and we're not married... :( Fucking disaster. Am so unhappy - and not about a stupid wedding which I don't give two hoots about - but because my child does not have a "legal" father.

Ski it is fucking ridiculous, red tape, bureaucratic wank. What is the issue? Does everyone have to be married in that there country to have children or summat?

SkiHorseWonAWean · 20/09/2010 11:46

Yes. People don't have children out of wedlock and people REALLY don't get pregnant by another woman's husband. Hmm Angry

PollyPoo · 20/09/2010 12:50

Ski that is awful and bloody infuriating. AngrySad

Am feeling better today, woke up without any pain (despite being awake half the fecking night with heartburn), but did get achey loin after walking the dog, so think it is probably muscular. Still, I did another wee sample last week and should get the results in a few days. Thanks for advice and info ladies. If it starts up again I will get on to the GP asap.

CUNextTuesday · 20/09/2010 13:24

What on earth will they accept as proof ski??

SkiHorseWonAWean · 20/09/2010 13:39

We are going to the consulate in Amsterdam tomorrow to sit in front of a UK solicitor and sign an affadavit to declare "honest guv, never bin married or nuffink. Few close shaves but none of 'em would 'ave me." Fucking ridiculous. I mean the Scottish registrar has actually CHECKED the records - tomorrow I just have to say "I didn't". :( It's draining my will to live.

What I didn't mention earlier was that jailbait lost his rag - and she's reported him. So dunno if we're (he) is even allowed back to the town hall and/or whether he can expect a visit from the polis. Hmm

I really do not give a toss about the marriage - but I want Bear sorted out - because until his birth certificate is 100% I can't apply for a passport - well, of course I can get a passport - but it'll have no link to jailbait. I'm glad I gave birth in the hospital - if I'd had him at home they probably would've demanded a home video and a visiting diplomat and vaginal inspection to declare him mine. At least for the c-section there were plenty of witnesses that baybee came out of my tumtum.

ski I iz not understanding why these fuckers are so difficult. Maybe they are all high or summat? Poor you. Here have an extra large can of Tennants Extra. And some pork scratchings.

Cossie sorry you had such a shitty old night. Hopefully this is a mere blip caused by hot pub. Makes me irritable as well sometimes.

FannyPriceless · 20/09/2010 18:30

cossie Is it hurty tingly or just tingly? I had tingly, sensitive pains in the early days which reminded me of the thrush nightmare last time, but it turned out to be nothing at all. I put it down to just one of those early days things. If it is painful, stingy and stabby type tingly then I would look out for signs of nipple thrush. Unlikely, but you want to be on your guard. Hope it soon goes.

Yes, Friday is good.Smile I'll email you.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 21/09/2010 08:21

We've decided not to go to Amsterdam today - they've robbed my will to live - instead we'll go up when my parents are over and they can babysit Bear. I don't fancy standing in a queue at the consulate with a screaming baybee... :( Cunts.

cossie I hope it clears up or resolves itself for you soon. Never fear - sounds like fanny's going to feel you up on Friday! HmmGrin I've heard about these antipodeans...

So please, let me hear some good, funny, happy news from someone.

My baybee is a delight, he's so cuddly and smiley. He woke up at 5:30 this morning with a big scream - think he scared himself awake. It's so lovely having him next to me as I can just pick him up, give him a huge cuddle and comfort him. Then jailbait removed Booger III (attack of the giant green ones).

CurlyCasper · 21/09/2010 09:16

I think my baybee knows its jabs day Sad She's not happy at all. And her father has a very nicely timed bit of overtime and has vacated the premises until 7pm.

Ear muffs anyone?

rollerbaby · 21/09/2010 09:21

ski I am loving reading your post this morning. Oh happy day, there is a end in sight to the sleep deprivation then! How old is Bear now? cossie take heart and note!

Boo for the hurty jabs curly.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 21/09/2010 09:35

moo haha, only because jailbait dealt with him last night! We also went back to the "old" sleep routine and so he slept from ~8:30 to ~3:30. I can handle that easily - what I cannot do is the 12-1 business - I'm not a night owl.

curly Probably for the best - these men don't handle the mean nurse/doctor making the baybees scream. Confused Calpol & gin for you both I think.

OP posts:
rollerbaby · 21/09/2010 09:40

What do you mean 12-1? What time do you go to bed by the way? I am going to be a mess when it's my turn - I cannot function on less than 10. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH.

OkieCokie · 21/09/2010 09:43

Vag Vag* Vag????? Do you have any happy news for us all inc Ski?

Right, I am off to search t'internet to look for curtain rings(?) and order a supermarket delivery. Work is wonderful for getting a couple of hours peace to sort out ones daily life... (I think I have downed tools 3 weeks early!)

OkieCokie · 21/09/2010 09:45

Moo 9-9.30pm in the early days, and still around 10.00pm now - any later and I can't function. Mr C used to stay up to do EBM bottle feed at 10.30pm and I would get up and do the approx 4am shift!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 21/09/2010 11:01

I'm like okie, like to be in bed before 11 - and like to be up at around 5.

OP posts:
OkieCokie · 21/09/2010 12:24

Up at around 5? That is madness. I like to be up around 10 but that NEVER happens. Usually 6.30/7.00 but not through choice.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 21/09/2010 12:53

Ah mornings are wonderful! I get a whole "day" to myself before the world wakes up. Grin

SilverSky · 21/09/2010 12:56

My comfort breaks in the night are starting to disrupt luvva boys sleep. I told him he has started to notice now cos clearly his instinct says I could go into labour anytime and he needs to be ready. Least that is what I am telling him. Never mind that I have not packed me bags. Still.

One more day left at work. Happy? Me?You bloody betcha I am!!!!

CluckyKate · 21/09/2010 16:27

V. jealous Silver Envy - just over 14 weeks left for me....and counting Grin

FannyPriceless · 21/09/2010 17:22

ski I think I can manage to give you some funny news - as in, you will laugh at me.Hmm

A big day for me today, in my 'struggling with the confidence to manage two children' journey. The situation: Clyde's vaccinations this morning, and MrP left at 5am to spend a day at his new job. I was simply aiming to make it through the chaos until lunch time when I was due to drop Bonnie at nursery so I could concentrate on Clyde. Which would have been fine if B's car seat wasn't 200 miles away in MrP's car!Angry

In the absence of any other solution I walked 3 miles to nursery with Bonnie. And this is not on city footpaths - oh no, it's up and down rough stony bridleways, around stubble fields in the (surprisingly) hot sun, and alongside a busy rural B road. I looked an absolute fright when I got there, just in time to see the other mums arriving in their air conned Range Rovers.Blush

I suppose the good news is I coped. Bonnie had a fab time and we sang the whole way. But MrP had better buy me a bloody huge bunch of flowers for this!

casp How is curlybabe after her jabs? I gave Clyde some Calpol and we've been feeding and cuddling most of the afternoon, but every so often he lets out a high-pitched, distressed squeal.Sad

CurlyCasper · 21/09/2010 18:37

very similar picture here fanny. Much cuddling and random cries. It's like she's hormonal - laughing one minute, then it's the end of the world the next, but not for long. Mind you, we had a backwards day and she screamed all morning before we even went to the docs.

Sounds like my day has been easier than yours though. At least you got to enjoy this last burst of summer (silver lining?)

Must go. Madame is shouting at me from her Royal Box in the big pram in the kitchen. She's watching (and interrupting) as I cook.

organiccarrotcake · 21/09/2010 21:26

Just a note on the Calpol thing, after finding out about the additives I discovered soluble Disprol for babies which is basically just paracetamol and stuff to make it fizz. May be an option if you want to avoid the pink.

SilverSky · 21/09/2010 21:29

ski sorry you are having such a shit time.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 22/09/2010 07:23

Oh don't worry about me silver - am made of tougher stuff than that. Takes more than a country's judiciary system to bring me down! Wink Good luck for your last day - you do realise though that this means your baybee could arrive at any moment. Still... positive means you can get back in the saddle asap!

I've had a good baybee - slept through until nearly 4am (w00t!) and then woke up again at 7:30.
