springaporesling · 16/09/2010 11:29

Hots hopefully that will mean a lucky month for you in other ways Wink

Dizzy that's very quick thinking.

Tweakers I think the blanket would be lovely too. It was one thing we had a real lack of as I kind of assumed I wouldn't need any not to know that air-con makes it mighty chilly!

Loti good luck today hope you get some rest tonight.

My new passport arrived today - only a week - if only I'd known that before we tried to go away!

cyteen · 16/09/2010 13:53

Rat update: called the exterminators who said they would be round this afternoon, so came home from work...to find this on the bedroom floor Shock Obviously it wasn't under the glass bowl, I did that. But still, eek!

hotterpotter · 16/09/2010 13:57

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

cyteen · 16/09/2010 14:02

I know. But kind of sad as well, I mean, it's just a baby :(

hotterpotter · 16/09/2010 14:16

I know, but which is more important, a baby rat or your baby? Don't feel guilty mate, anyway it looks like the end was painless and stress-free.

springaporesling · 16/09/2010 14:17

Sorry but I'm with Hots on that one

springaporesling · 16/09/2010 14:18

HAPPY BIRTHDAY S

cyteen · 16/09/2010 14:39

You're right of course; I don't want them in my house, walking all over my stuff, eww.

Pest control bloke has just been and laid four traps. He was well cool, like a laconic Milk Tray Man in his black clothes Grin He reckons they've come in via the drains.

oopsandbabycoconuts · 16/09/2010 14:49

Cyteen Are you planning on telling DP(soon to beH) what you used the bowl for when you next present him casserole in it? :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY S - Hope you are feeling well enough to enjoy it.

Amfeeling a bit blah today DD1 is at nursery all day. DD2 and I went to lunch with a friend and I am flat broken with tiredness. Doc rang to check on me this morning and I go back in a few weeks. They are talking about thyroid removal but we are a wait and see at the moment but will properly discuss it next time I see him.

I am counting the minutes until I go and see DD1 unfortunately then I have to go and deal with tenant who left a tap running with the plug in the sink!and went away for the weekend, the whole bottom floor of the house is wrecked needs new floors, some new kitchen units and new worktops. I have to see it and get the insurance assessor in to price up the damage and the tenant is asking us to pay the £X that her books apparently cost!

Back later.

longwayfromhome · 16/09/2010 14:58

day 1 of potty training. potty 1, floor 5 so far

ds sitting on potty watching chuggington

hmm, all feels like a bad idea

dizzydixies · 16/09/2010 16:13

Oops - tell the cheeky fecker to get down the sodding library Angry Sorry you're so tired - have a sympathetic hug from me if it will help at all

hello all else - am not here!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/09/2010 19:09

Evening Smile

Been on a course all day about setting up my own business, so knackered from concentrating Hmm and now have 17 things more to add to my to do list

Happy Birthday QoDBoy - hope you all had a lovely day Smile

oops rest up Lady. Hope you start to feel better soon and they pull their fingers out with a proper diagnosis/treatment plan

Off to wrestle whingeing small people to bed......

dizzydixies · 16/09/2010 20:51

girls all on bed, have phoned my dad and am now sitting for two minutes before oven on again. Had to sort out the barney that ensued after L hid from D inside her pillow case and scared her - got to love my girls sometimes Hmm

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/09/2010 21:16

LOL, sounds like the DDs are all squashed into one bed with no duvet Grin

dizzydixies · 16/09/2010 21:58

Probably are, I'm refusing to go up and see where they are - it's like musical beds up there!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/09/2010 22:02

Everytime we say bedtime or naptime, DD2 says 'sleep in Mummy/Daddy's bed?'

Errrrrrr........Nope Grin

TBF we would probably say yes if she actually slept. It is the using us as a trampoline before sitting on your face which is slightly disconcerting Hmm

pertelote · 16/09/2010 22:11

Happy birthday little DreamBoy! Hope you had a lovely day QoD.

Sounds familiar Crispy! I would love to be able to snuggle up with DD when she asks but she will NOT lie still.

I asked you lot before and you said it made sense to switch to a proper bed at the same time as moving house, didn't you? Just realised that if I'm doing that I ought to get off my arse and actually order one Blush And if not, order some bed linen because I am so sick of the fight to keep the grobag on...

Cyteen I did Smile at your tenderheartedness over the ickle baby rat. Glad you have a steely professional to deal with Mummy and Daddy Rat Grin

Oops hope you're early to bed after your busy day.

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/09/2010 22:16

We did say that. But feel free to ignore us pert Grin

Ewwwwww, i had managed to wipe the dead baby rat casserole from my mind. It is now clear as a bell again........

Longway - was this a mother's suggestion wrt potty training. My Dad asked about it the other day Shock WTF?. I'm sure he took very little interest when we were potty training Hmm

TwilightSurfer · 16/09/2010 23:45

Morning

I am broken. Between the DD's they were up and shouting for no reason for 2.5hrs between them last night. DH came and slept upstairs as he has an important meeting today so I was left to try and sort out. DD2 up at 6.10.

dizzydixies · 17/09/2010 07:28

Am also broken Sad but not because of dc! Morning all I only have cakes to offer for brekker

oopsandbabycoconuts · 17/09/2010 07:30

Morning Crispy - sorry you had such a horrid night can you all just take it easy today or do you have plans?

DD1 awake at 5.50 DD2 still sleeping, DH still sleeping, I have made brownies and a sponge is just out the oven waiting to cool before it's lemon curd and buttercream filling.

DD1 at nursery today for an extra session so I can sleep bake.

Pert - good luck with the move. Yes if the cot dissapears in the move and the removsl men leave a bed instead is a good way to do it.
