Morning Dizz - have you been on nights or baking until stupid o'clock?

CrispyTheCrisp · 17/09/2010 08:13

Gosh you bakers are a dedicated lot Shock. dizz is your hip keeping you up or your DH? Wink

Sounds like there must be something in the air causing the early waking of 2YO's Hmm

Have to pack to go to MIL's after lunch. I told DD1 we wouldn't be able to go if she couldn't be a good girl and not shout in the night. SHe just said 'well don't tell Grandma' Hmm

I may resort to sticking Peppa Pig on, although that would feel like some 'reward' for having been such tinkers last night. I may get them to cook chutney with me, but fear that may end up in my tears

They have currently been set to task making pictures for Grandma, so at least i can have my cuppa in peace until the glitter comes out

longwayfromhome · 17/09/2010 08:23

potty training, well kind of just that it's a good time for us. Both on holiday, so plenty of help around, mum doing some of the washing Grin, at my parents house so lots of space as we try to stay in, and would be nice to get done before we get home/DS starts nursery/has his surgery etc.

otherwise I would be quite happy not

longwayfromhome · 17/09/2010 08:24

PS DD awake twice in the night, DS awake once and both up not that long after 5.

hotterpotter · 17/09/2010 08:37

Hello all, sorry to hear of early mornings Sad we are in a similar boat as DS seems to wake up near 6am every day and there is no getting him back to sleep, he just pings awake and that's it. He woke up crying this morning which is v v unusual; DH thinks he has pulled a muscle in his shoulder as feels clicky like mine did last week. So once DD is at school they will be curling up in front of the telly.

lwfh I am not thinking about potty training ever for a while yet Grin. Not sure if you have been on fb lately but Nottingam is off on Tuesday Sad but are you brave enought to try Leicester instead?

Better do some work, see you soon Smile

luckoftheirish · 17/09/2010 09:48

dd2 shouting the odds half the night.. dd1 came into me twice muttering about school issues Hmm..

just me and dd2 today so i am hoping for an easy day..Hmm..

tweakers · 17/09/2010 09:50

morning all
sorry i've been awol..been too busy cuddling dd and eating brownies Grin

CaptainCaveman · 17/09/2010 10:11

Aw guys I'm so sorry about Tuesday Sad, it's one of those rare days that I really can't dip out of work. Did we set another date? (not been back on fb yet)

6am start here too, but mum was staying so I cunningly told O that grandma was here and he toddled off to wake her up instead Grin

hotterpotter · 17/09/2010 10:33

Oh cece it is a shame but don't worry about it! we are trying to find an alternative venue for Tuesday, hoping to try out Leicester if anyone else is in the area... For nose-tapping reasons this meet does have to go ahead next week but hopefully we will get to see your conservatory soon Grin

springaporesling · 17/09/2010 11:28

Hello all am thinking about potty training but it is still just that.

Have had a nice afternoon with some friends but one of them told me she's about 8 wks pregnant which only really leaves me out of about 12 Mums in our baby group - I know I shouldn't be but am a bit Sad.

Work still mental but have managed to fill one of my vacancies so hopefully that will ease the pressure a bit.

cyteen · 17/09/2010 12:02

Crispy sorry but LOL at 'don't tell grandma' Grin She's no daftie, is she? Strange all these early waking toddlers; DS was awake and crying at 5.30 this morning, also very unusual. I think he was having a bad dream, hopefully not rat-related Hmm

Cavey fantastic cunning there, as ever I salute your style Grin And yes, I too look forward to seeing your conservatory (why does that sound rude?)

Anyone who wants is welcome to come to Leicester on Tuesday :) I would offer to drive to a more useful interesting location but with the ratters needing to make a return visit as well as all this wedding malarkey, I feel like I should be here. We do have lots of nice parks and a decent free museum, and Tuesday is currently forecast for 'sunny intervals'...

Ooh, just thought - I could make you all come and help me weed the allotment [evil] Wink

tweakers · 17/09/2010 15:28

cyteen i don't know about the other Aug babes but T loves pulling things up so how about you set the littlies onto the weeding and the biggies can sit and drink tea whilst 'supervising' them Grin

spring your time will come

cc i'm liking your thinking with the grandma plan!

hiya hots, you busy at work today? Wink

cyteen · 17/09/2010 17:46

Oh spring sorry, I totally missed that :( There's no rules for feelings, especially not where babies are concerned - it's totally understandable to feel a bit sad. I second tweakers though, your time will surely come and when it does we'll all be here to cheer your new little one into the world :)

dizzydixies · 17/09/2010 18:12

Oops I was up baking/delivering till 3.30am & back up at 7 with girls been a LONG day! DH was assaulted at work last night Sad and I got my period this morning, apparently I had been subconsciously hoping it wouldn't come as rather Sad now.

Spring, if it helps I preferred the gap between DD1 & DD2 than this time. Was much easier Wink

Cyteen all getting V exciting now!

Got to go sort girls before scrubbing the sugar icing layer off the kitchen & starting again!!

tweakers · 17/09/2010 18:44

oh dizz, is J ok? what an awful thing to happen

spring sorry about my short comment earlier, i was trying to entertain ds at same time whilst having a sneaky mn! Pea's in the carrier now, one hand cuddling ds but the other hand and both eyes are now all yours! cyteen's right, we will all be here cheering you on. are you actively ttc,or just seeing what'll happen?

dizzydixies · 17/09/2010 19:08

thanks tweakers - all part and parcel unfortunately but it always makes me feel sick to my stomach Sad

we're currently building the world's tallest lego tower - well it is in L's eyes and I'm not telling her any different Smile I think I'm going to have to steer her away from her porn dancing routines Hmm

ah shite, she's just demanded a coffee again ShockGrin

TwilightSurfer · 17/09/2010 19:15

singapore (((hug)))

dizzy (((hug)))

lwfh i would wait until home (the other home) to potty train because traveling and doing bathroom breaks can be a pain with kids.

lost my thoughts. my head is still hurting. this makes week two or maybe week three. went to the chiro. drowning in water. resting more. tried some expectorant to see if it's sinus related. ate steak. nothing seems to make it go away. it makes me feel tired and blah too which is unacceptable.

oh found my thought....
r is an "early" waker only slightly. she's always been a good sleeper (thankfully). early to her is 7:15ish. on school mornings i tend to have to go rouse her. today she looked like she'd been out partying all night, very funny. she still takes naps without a fuss. soooo......i guess it's not across the board with these 2yr olds. sorry for the ones keeping you up. ((((hug))))

At PILs Confused

Spring, hope things happen for you soon. As tweakers says we are cheering you on Smile

How is MrDizz? Have they given him 2 weeks off to recuperate

dizzydixies · 17/09/2010 19:33

ROFL - no!! he had to finish his shift and is back in for another 12hr stint today

thanks for making me laugh though!!

tweakers · 17/09/2010 19:46

good grief! seriously?!

CrispyTheCrisp · 17/09/2010 19:47

LOL, thought it unlikely impossible Grin

Envy TS. But not of your cold

Supposed to be talking to FIL but cannot stand any more of the Ambulance Car Service talk so am being very rude. Oops Blush

Oh, and pole dancers are very fit, flexible and musical Hmm

tweakers · 17/09/2010 20:08

lol crispy, what do they think you're doing? v important worky worky work stuff? Wink

dizzydixies · 17/09/2010 20:55

yes, seriously - he and his burst lip are away back for more He's a big lad too so more fool the eejit that tried it on - don't get me wrong, J has absolutely NO temper at all to speak of, none and won't react when provoked (trust me) however there are very VERY few who would even take a chance due to the size of him (VG and Sazz can confirm he's no well squeezed straw bless him) and this pillock was off his head Sad

lol crispy - my dad has just announced he is coming to visit over our sodding annual leave - the only time we had off together Hmm

hotterpotter · 17/09/2010 21:34

Dizzy don't any of your family ask before coming???? Tell him you're busy visiting some hairy truckers! (and come down south...)

Love to all but no energy to chat as am full of cold, sneezing and stuffy-nosed so just snuggled up on the sofa until bedtime.

dizzydixies · 17/09/2010 22:00

Hots - you're exactly where you need to be sweetie - sorry to hear you're so rough.

Its the week that DH has to be on that fecking course (it is only one day however) so he knows that we are here. Me and my moaning gob Blush

VG - am soooooooo pleased that your brownies made it to you in one piece! I made them and posted them on Mon morning. I put them in take away tubs Blush as normally I just wrap them in film but I knew they would take a few days to get there and didn't want them to be stale !
