Have you bought new cups Dizzy? Could be they have changed their paper. Are you cooling them in the tins or on a rack? If they cool too slowly they get moist and the paper pulls away.

dizzydixies · 09/09/2010 20:10

no same ones cooking on rack after 5 minutes in tin

oopsandbabycoconuts · 09/09/2010 20:13

missed out - if the same brand - have they canged the paper/ duff batch.

dizzydixies · 09/09/2010 20:36

def the same brand, and I've bought tonnes, feck, arse!

DH just threatened to cover me in icing but frankly if I see another cake/icing related product again tonight I will weep Grin

oopsandbabycoconuts · 09/09/2010 20:46

Try another pack - then cover yourself in icing - J will not be able to resist Wink

dizzydixies · 09/09/2010 20:50

sod that I'm for bed Grin and he's for nightshift!

night all

poppysocks · 09/09/2010 22:03

Late to the party as usual but many congratulations to tweakers and family and your gorgeous new DD. Your birth story (well, first version) sound idyllic. Speaking as someone who didn't ever master the whole birthing malarky, you are a lucky lady to have had such a lovely experience and even better that you got such a lovely prize at the end of it all. Smile. Good luck with it all from hereonin!

Have just skimmed, but am pleased that DD2's birthmark is a disappearer oops. My niece has what sounds like a similar mark on her top lip and knee. At one point they were a big thing (literally and metaphorically) but it's amazing how much they've already shrunk and faded at nearly 2 and it's clear the Drs were right that they'll be gone by the time she starts school. Hope it's the same for E. Smile

Sorry life is tricky dizzy. Give me a shout anytime if I can help of you fancy a quick cuppa to offload. (you can provide the cake Wink).

Work ridiculously busy (doing new job as well as old as replacement for old job is in the US with no UK work visa Hmm and unlikely to be here before 2011 ), Life busy with constant visits from friends/family. Girls fab. BiL not so good. DH off for our first nights away since before DD2 was born .

dizzydixies · 09/09/2010 22:06

Ooh Poppy - have a fab time away. I was thinking about you and wondering if you had been yet or not! Life would be less tricky with reliable childcare but thats a rant for another day. Let's see if she turns up tomorrow or not Hmm

Bed for me now that Dh is away to work - why oh why do I sit here and let it get to the stage that I'm too tired to go to bed [lazy emoticon]

CrispyTheCrisp · 09/09/2010 22:11

Hi TS hope you had a better day yesterday.

Hi Poppy lovely to see you.

Oops glad DD1 enjoyed her first day.

I am working today - it is a public holiday but we take it in turns to cover as no holiday in Hong Kong so DH has a day to himself with DS. Not too sure what they've got planned.

My cousin came round yesterday evening to see DS and promised to take him to the zoo next time so this morning he was 'Where's Aunty Kelly?' 'Go zoo Aunty Kelly, yes?'. I think he's a fan - but she's 22 and gorgeous has just finished presenting for the Youth Olympic Games on local TV here and is in talks for F1 presenting.

luckoftheirish · 10/09/2010 07:31

massive rant alert..

i am fuming and crying my eyes out.. stupid stupid h agreed to take dd1 for her first 45 mins of school today.. due to start in 2 minutes.. he has both car chairs.. called him a couple of minutes ago expecting him to say he is just pulling up, asked where he was, "in the office".. raged that dd1 was due to start at 11 and he said, u said 11.45am!! Now i have been over and over and over the schedule with him and i just cannot believe he would be so stupid to forget time.. now waiting for him to show up.. cryig my eyes out that he is obviously so not bothered by this big event after insiting that it would be better for him to take dd1... if it was a footie/cricket/mate/work event he would get time spot on but as its us, its doesn't matter..

so sorry for big me rant but just so unhappy with him

CrispyTheCrisp · 10/09/2010 11:34

Oh LOTI, so, so sorry to hear twat H has let you and DD1 down again Sad. TBH i think you have put up with his downright rude & inconsiderate treatment of his 'family' for long enough, but i know your wish if for the family to stay together. Such a tough call, but he has to accept he cannot do this to you any longer without serious repercussions.

I am sure DD1 will enjoy the rest of her day and be none the wiser, but i know it cuts deep for you Sad. Take care {{{hugs}}}} and come and rant here any time Smile

VG will send now (think i have your email addy). Oh, and i think i only mentioned the X word Wink

alittlebitshy · 10/09/2010 12:14

oh loti lovely. don't cry. hope he gets arse in gear:(

luckoftheirish · 10/09/2010 12:47

Thanks albs and crispy. She got on ok and they weren't too late. Just been informed that he is playing cricket tom. I just give up!!!

springaporesling · 10/09/2010 14:26

Loti Sad and Angry that H up to his old tricks again.

I got a lot of crap admin cleared at work today as only 2 of us in the office. DH and DS had a lovely day together.

I also have Gap voucher if anyone wants one - can't use it here!

CaptainCaveman · 10/09/2010 18:20

Evening girls....laters....am off into town with dh and friends for some bevvies Grin

TwilightSurfer · 10/09/2010 18:36

(((hugs))) Lucky. Sounds like he has hearing problems like my DH. It's like they hear:

"Blah Blah Blah 11 Blah Blah Blah Blah 45 Blah Blah Blah" Ta Da 11:45 Hmm

Dizzy I am test driving these cupcake baking cups this weekend. According to the box you don't have to have a muffin pan, just set the cup on a baking sheet and fill 1/2 full with cake batter. Sounds pretty simple to me.Smile

Spent a good bit of this morning at R's preschool chatting with the director. Little did she know she was cheering me up tremendously. That school values it's parents so much and wants them involved in every way. Makes that crappy lady I dealt with this week at K's school look like evil spawn.

milk came in yesterday, full flow today and i almost drowned the poor little thing!
i am so in love with her, she's just perfect
She's a little party animal up all night feeding but she's worth it!

seems quiet on here for a friday night... you can't all be lushing it up, surely?!

tweakers · 10/09/2010 23:27

oh and it may amuse you all to find out that given that we're now pretty certain DD wasn't actually overdue but that it was a miscalculation with her date from the scan, it means she was conceived in the forest! Grin
