Jacks infection is minging but seems quite common, am hoping second lot of antibiotics work.

Congrats Roo - beautiful name, we nearly had a snap Erin was in our top 3!! Super glad I didn't steal it on you!

In other news I got a brand new nephew on Monday - a bruiser at 9lbs 13ozs - he apparantly just 'popped out'!

Apparantlty 'turbo-birthing' runs in our family!!!

KFW · 26/10/2010 14:22

Hi all

Congrats Roo!

No delivery story here yet, but I had 7 hours of contractions on Sunday and 10 hours yesterday. They got to one every 5 mins and were over a minute long and then they stopped! V annoying.

Went to hosp today and it all looks like it is going to kick off again soon apparently. I hope so - am bloody knackered already Grin almost no sleep for 2 days!

I will let you know...

Best wishes to those who've popped and those (few of us) still waiting. Hope you get better soon Hev

Hevster · 26/10/2010 15:14

KFW much sympathy, that was me with DD1 and it's miserable, really hope things get moving for you and when they do that it's a speedy process to make up for it.

Jenko77 · 26/10/2010 15:42

Hi all,

Well, due to be induced today - but no need Grin

Baby Liam was born very quickly on Sunday 24th, at 8.13pm (after labour officially started at 7pm!!) and weighing 7lb exactly. I'd been having contractions all day and when they got v strong and regular we headed to hospital. It wasn't quite the relaxing waterbirth me and DH had planned, and was fast and furious, just gas and air, forceps and lots of blood!! But worth it.

Just got home with my gorgeous little boy and trying to master breastfeeding (and sitting down without flinching!!).

Good luck to those still due - I made it to 40+10 and that was long enough!!

YummyMummy1208 · 26/10/2010 15:55

Congrats to all those new babies since my last post! :) Glad you all seem to be getting on well with the new arrivals...i only wish mine was here.
I am officially overdue today, was due yesterday and cant quite believe iv gone overdue. I had never even considered it at the rate i was growing and the amount she was moving i thought she would be out well before due day but nope. So im getting fatter and more miserable by the hour waiting for her to hurry up and get out.
Have scheduled my induction day for the 4th November so am praying to god she arrives before then as i really do not want to be induced. :(

Sorry guys, still sad and depressive in my corner.

KFW is it only me and u left now??

Hevster · 26/10/2010 16:31

Jenko congratulations, most excellent news, good luck ith the breastfeeding Smile

KFW · 26/10/2010 17:17

Congrats jenko! Can't believe how quick that was for a first timer! I have already had 20 hours of contractions and nothing!

Yup yummy I think it's just you and me.

We'll get there soon Smile

Jacksmybaby · 26/10/2010 18:58

OP posts:
Jacksmybaby · 28/10/2010 09:13

Where is everyone?! Does this quiet mean we have some more babies?!

rollerbaby · 28/10/2010 12:05

No baby here! Sorry! I am only due on Sunday so thinking it could be well into next week yet... I hope not though!

YummyMummy1208 · 28/10/2010 12:11

Nope, no baby here either, 3 days overdue now and getting more and more peed off each day knowing theres an already bigger than average baby inside of me who is getting bigger each day i go further overdue! :(

Im convincing myself my body has forgotten how to go into labour as it started perfectly fine on its own 3 days before due date last time but second time round nothing! Argh! - inspiration to go on desperately needed here please!

Honeymoo i think your arrival will be here before mine (due 25th!) at this rate! Grin
Although i am starting to think she may be born on halloween - the devils child!

Howz everyone doing?

Hevster · 28/10/2010 12:32

Jacks just the babies keep us busy! but I am not quite sure how as mine seems to sleep most of the day and it doesn't take more than 15 mins to wash and steralise the bottles so what on earth happens to the rest of the time?????

Hang in the Yummy she can't stay put much longer

Back to the docs today, think infection is improving but still got pain and as I am off to Grantham for the weekend with my DD's (and no DH) for my cousins wedding I figured I had better get checked again

Hope everyone else is well

OP posts:
YummyMummy1208 · 28/10/2010 12:49

Good point Hevster, not quite sure how they take up so much of your time when they sleep every few hours - its nice to have a structure to the day though i found, our 4 hour little routine passed the day so quickly - feed, play, change, sleep, feed play change sleep! All day long. :)

Hope the infection is ok and clearing up for you.

I have 7 days until being induced and i know im secretly freaking out - lots of what ifs? i want to go into labour naturally and i think if they hadnt put such a scare on me having a big baby i wouldnt let them induce me until 14 days over rather than 10 but im panicking at how big shes getting! I dont want to arrive at hospital at 9pm on induction day for them to probably put a pessary thing in me and then expect OH to go home and leave me overnight, then if i dont go into labour theyre going to put me on a drip meaning i will basically be strapped to the bed for the rest of my labour - something i do not want.
Plus i have DS1 to think about, i dont want to be away from him for days if labour doesnt start up straigght away then i could be in hospital for a few nights and i havent ever spent more than one night away from him since he was born so i dont intend to do it now. Just confused as to what to do. The usual response is - 'dont worry hun, you'll go into labour before then' but...what if i dont?! i havent yet and for some reason cant see it happening in the next 7 days. Sorry to rant...just lots of things going through my mind at the moment. im new to all this overdue lark! :)

Hi ladies. I am extremely proud and happy to announce the arrival of Jasmine Louise at 12.32am on Thursday 28.10.10. She was back to back and 8lb 6oz, which is jumbo for my small frame! It was slow progress but we got there without forceps or anything. I am tired but elated. DH and I are currently struggling to be discharged from hosp - no paediatricians round to ceck her over.

Nevertheless, our faces look like this: Grin

Love to all (hev I do hope your infection clears up pronto) and best wishes to those still waiting.

X

rollerbaby · 28/10/2010 15:16

Congrats to KFW! So im officially the only overdue one on here now. I knew it. This baby does not want to come out! :(

Glad all went well for you KFW and hope LO is setttling in well at home. Hate that - waiting for the paediatricians to come check baby, remember hanging around all morning with DS1 waiting which is so annoying when you just want to get out of there!

Its official. Im jealous of you all!! Grin
